I love that Dan never interrupted her and let her speak as much as she wanted to - let her shine. I really appreciated that bc I hate it when interviewers just interrupt celebrities on their shows.
Dan Levy continues to amaze me, he is so well spoken and educated. Of course Kate Winslet is Kate Winslet but Dan conducted this interview brilliantly.!
What a pleasure to watch a sincere interview with interesting and authentic questions. Kate Winslet is remarkable. She draws you in with every character she portrays. Both Kate and Dan are truly lovely people.
At times celebrity conversations can be mind-numbingly tedious. This was not. It was actually a very nice surprise that made me want to see the movie. Dan Levy shines as an interviewer.
Kate , your style and the way you choose roles to play commands respect and adoration. Remarkable talent, the characters you bring to screen create beautiful films. Kate, well done. P.s I personally related to Mary in Ammonite. Thankyou for accepting the opportunity to make this with Francis Lee. Absolutely beautiful work. ❤
Really like both Dan and Kate. What a great interview. Imagine letting the guest talk at length about the process of acting and film making. A novel idea, but i doubt it will catch on. The husband of a friend of my partner's was a teacher at Kate Winslet's kids' school in the cotswolds. Apparently she's as nice and down to Earth as she seems.
Dan Levy really knows how to listen. Even though sometimes you can detect a glimmer of recognition he has in his own experience to what she is saying, he doesn't jump in to say it because it's not about him. He is a treasure.
I just watched this last evening. It was filmed so fabulously. One of the things that caught my attention in all the silence of the film, how the sound focus was on the things Mary did with her hands. Like the deafening sound of peeling potatoes alone in the kitchen. Until Charlotte entered the room 😍 Loved the performances so much!,
One of the best interviews I have ever seen. I applaud Mr. Levy for asking incredibly thoughtful questions and not going directly to the 'lesbian' part in the movie. I hated the interviews that Cate Blanchett and Rooney Mara did after "Carol". The only thing they wanted to ask about was the sex scene between the two characters. Who cares? Get over it. I also was thrilled that Ms. Winslet is not on social media. Me too. I feel it has ruined our ability to be kind to each other. 'They' hide behind their keyboards and say things that they would never say to your face. I didn't ask for their opinion. They didn't ask for mine. Again, brilliant interview. Thank you for this treat.
What a sincere conversation. I haven't seen in a very long time with not useless gossips but talking about things that matter while keeping it entertaining. Thank you to you both Kate, you don't have social media... Amazing! I find you even more interesting now just because not being part of it helps to keep you unique and listen to yourself better. Social media is a great tool to promote but the way it is used has made it into a tool for very bad influence and easy access to verbal abuse, bullying, and unethical staff being promoted. As an actor is healthy not to have social mediaa.
💗 My Heart is bursting with joy! ✨Thank 🌷🌻🌹✨both.... Kate darling, I've seen you grow from Heavenly teenage starlet to Goddess supaStar & to see and hear you with this beauty-Filled Gem that is Dan Levy, Thrilled & Overjoyed. Very grateful. 💃🏻💎 😍. 🕊✨Blessings and Love to you both. 💕✨🙏🏽
@@keishie23 Kate was exactly right about having to act with her hands. It was a perfect movie for a cold and rainy Sunday afternoon. I was reminded that Gemma Jones was her Mum in Sense and Sensibility.
In my opinion, the real Mary Anning had huge emotional dead areas inside of her and she was also brusque, defensive and had no social skills. The one and only Kate Winslet knew how to deal with such emotions beautifully. I also realized the director gave Mary Anning a chance to learn how to be loved (at least in fiction).
@@Coolgirl1309 Dan wanted to ask her about the sex scene when Kate uses her fingers in that scene and her fingers weren't dirty anymore it's because she interrupted him saying "I know darling" Because she was avoiding to explain the act to use her fingers on sex scenes and she quoted that Francis Lee was very obsessed with her hands. Gay women knows what fingers means on their sexual life.
I don't know about ammonite. When is Mare of Easttown coming back on HBO. I really liked Mountain between us. I wrote a sequel for Mountain between us, but couldn't find the company that made it to contact me. Get working on Mare.
I am really turned off by gushfests, and the first 3.5 minutes of this interview is practically nothing but. “You are *the BEST* !!!!!” “No, _you’re_ the best!” “You . Are . The . BEST!!!” “I can’t even _stand_ how _gorgeous_ you are! And your _acting!!_ *My GOD!!*” What a colossal drag…..
Kate is a major star of course but I wouldn't call her a chameleon. She's most always Kate in most her greatest parts and there's nothing wrong about that.
As much as I like her, I find it annoying her comments that the critics are calling her lesbian love scene steaming It utter nonsense, this is not about lesbian scenes ,critics from time immemorial have described heterosexual love scenes as steamy ,erotic the list goes on and on So to criticise or continuously call out the critics I find it annoying and irritating
I have watched a lot of lesbian films. And hands firmly down, this was one of thee best lesbian scenes in a movie I have ever seen. Shocked by Ms. Winslet, I absolutely was.

Dan levy must have a talk show. Not dumb talk show with silly games, but like this heartfelt content with a depth.

Stunning performance, really breathtaking. Well written script too, but it's Kate who makes it brilliant.
Love,Love Kate Winslet! What a Class Act! She is by far my favorite actress!
I’m completely blown away by her Avatar breath-holding story. Incredible. And Dan’s genuine expressions to it are priceless.

She's one of my favorite actors. So extraordinary in everything she does. It's odd that most people associate her most with Titanic.

The nails darling!

but it would be so greeeeaaaaat if she have an Instagram. That’s her decision though
