What a lovely city. Been there a few times and just love the vibe. I’m sure Uyo is similarly beautiful. Beauty and cleanliness is a CULTURE there and both CRS and Akwa Ibom should work hard to make themselves our no1 tourist attraction for both Nigerians and foreigners. God Bless CRS. God Bless Nigeria ….from a proud Lagosian. ❤
Well said and we couldn’t agree more We visited Akwa Ibom early this year and it is definitely one of our best trips You should check out the video If you haven’t .. They both have a lot in common and we can’t wait to see massive changes here
Calabar has everything Lagos has and more. Why has Cross River state not built a Deep Sea Port. With a modern Deep Seeport in Calabar, Cross River could attract all the shipping business revenue from the Southeastern States and River State and even the neighboring Country of Cameroon. Cross River has lots of natural and geographical resources and attributes. Calabar is not only a tourist city it could also attract lots of blacks from the diaspora emulating what the Countries of Ghana and Senegal are doing to attract all black in the Diaspora. Nigeria is far way behind in attracting tourism and big foreign revenue that tourism brings to a country. Nigeria needs business minded leaders.
Am not sure why lagos doesn't rest in d mouth of nigerians ...this is wrong..we can actually appreciate other states without always trying to compare it to lagos fgs...allow other states to do their thing as lagos is minding its buisness doing its thing
@Willzybaby-k4m ok do u mean other states don't receive FAAC and some even 13% oil derivatives??or do u mean other states are not allowed to build their own airports and seaports or the irresponsibility of the leaders should be blamed on LASG??
@@chincherri Your argument is baseless and nobody is blaming Lagos rather the Nigerian government. If I can fly to anywhere in the world from my city in Port Harcourt and also import and export goods through Onne. What business do I have with Lagos? Each time I want to fly in or out I am forced to go to Lagos or Abuja. How many high commissions do we have in Port Harcourt? How many federal government agencies/commission do we have in the south south region? Lagos and Abuja were fully developed by Babangida with Federal might and money from the Niger Delta. You talked about FAAC. How much can that do for a state like Rivers state?
Beautiful and serene city, however, the first hospital in Nigeria is Sacred heart hospital which was built in Abeokuta in 1885. The First secondary school is CMS grammar school which was built in 1859 in Lagos. The first post office was built in Lagos in the year 1856.
NOSTALGIC OF CALABAR; MY PLACE OF BIRTH ( 21 MACDONALD STREET CALABAR). THE CLEAN ENVIRONMENT STILL LINGERS IN MY MEMORY 🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤ STILL LINGERS IN MY MEMORY
Good content about the beautiful city of Calabar. However, Calabar is not the first Nigerian city to have a secondary school. The first secondary school in Nigeria (CMS Grammar School) is in Lagos. Hope Waddell Training Institute, Calabar would be No 5 on the list of the oldest secondary schools in Nigeria, with the top 4 all in Lagos. I am not sure about the first hospital either. I am aware that the first hostipal in Nigeria is in the ancient city of Abeokuta. You might also want to double check for the details of the first Nigerian librarian.
One of the ways u know a purposeful president is that he prioritizes a state like Calabar as a catalyst to accelerating Nigeria's tourism drive and industry. But sadly, 9 months into his tenure, he hasn't even visited Cross River state. Shame
They need some big buildings in the city, office spaces and hotels. The coast line as well. The government needs to sell the city and its potentials to investors.
Hello, my name is Lamin Dickson, I am told that my Orin is in calaba cross river state. But I don't know there please if you know any Dickson family in calaba tell them I love them all and I shall wait the time God(Allah ) finally unit is all
No Nigeria city appeals to me for the following reasons; 1. Lack of social amenities 2. Lack of transportation system 3. Lack of security service 4. Disorder, Dirts, environmental, noise and air pollution 5. No water or electrical supply system 6. No drainage, refuse or sewage system 7. Nothing inspiring to see We have a lot of work to do to make Nigeria a better place.
@jojohns1964 No bro, you didn't get me right.I wasn't actually disagreeing with what he said about Calabar, ofcourse everyone has an opinion on what they see. Calabar is actually a beautiful city so I'm not against his post. I'm only reminding him that he hasn't visited Uyo yet, cos he said he will drop a video of Uyo in his subsequent videos.
