I’m struggling for words to express how impressed I am with your talent and creativity. This is an exquisite piece! No one would guess that it’s made only of paper!
Wow! That turned out great!! The carved piece over the center mirror is perfect! Changing that was ideal! Your counter tops look exactly like granite to me! An excellent piece!! Excited to see more! Take care!
Spectacular!! I am agreeing with the other viewer that words cannot describe your talent! I doubt there is anything that you couldn't make out of cardstock! I originally liked the first overlay until I saw the second one. That looks like carved wood. Amazing...Thank you for sharing
Thank you I’m so happy you like it and the marble top. I really struggle painting marble. I can’t take credit for the drawer pulls though. I don’t know who to credit with that. Something new I saw on Pinterest.
Such detail and so ornate! I was wondering if you were going to make a barber shop and voila - here it is, and so pretty! Now back to my diy dream house for my sister's grand babies! (P.S. I'm using mainly cereal box and any paper products possible.)
@@Lauras-tinyview It's inspired by the movie, but it is a square not round, with a "working " fireplace. The floor is brown paper with wood floors just drawn with a black sharpie. The plan is for an exposed beam ceiling with a 10 light string of poster board lights with the battery pack accessible from the roof that will just fold up. Aqua "block" walls on the interior per request and pink and purple block on exterior with a pink roof. It's so much work but I'm having a blast!
@@reginawilliams226 What movie is it inspired by? I don’t think you mentioned it. Sounds interesting! I love the idea of drawing the wood grain for the wood floors. I did something like that much smaller though for some countertops once. How far along are you into the project? It really sounds amazing!
@@Lauras-tinyview It's based on the Barbie movie, my apologies. The window is cut out and I'm thinking of putting an edging of "stained" glass pink roses. I've cut out the hearth from a gold cardboard that the tiny cake was on. I've made a bed (the babies asked for it) in the shape of a shell for the head and footboard. I'm going to paint the walls and have to reinforce the walls with another layer and make a sofa and built in bookshelves. Thank you for your interest!!! It means a lot to me!!!
You can do it!! Really! You don’t need a Silhouette. Before I had to get my cutting machine I did everything by hand. It just took a little bit longer and a little bit more sanding. 😊
Little late tonight but hey its Monday! Another master piece..always amazed at your creativity..I bought 2 new properties blank canvas all ive done is look at them haha😂 see you next week ❤❤❤
I am just getting caught up on your videos, this turned out amazing! I love all the attention to detail you put in every piece you make. This looks just like all the old pics I have seen of these! I have used the googly eyes before and they do make great drawer pulls.
Hey Laura, I was watching a miniatures called Carol Kras on here and she used paper, stacked together, the colours imitating plywood, to make a 1:6th chair, it's a brilliant method which I am sure you could probably use, she puts the paper strips, stacked and still wet with pva, into moulds to make them dry the way she wants. Go have a look I'm sure you could do something amazing with the technique. ❤
@@AnneAndersonFoxiepaws Thank you!! I appreciate that! Me too! Makes me feel like I there sometimes. Love getting lost looking at vintage photos to get ideas.
May I ask what your settings, what blade and the thickness of your card stock is you use one your machine? I can’t seem to ever get this cute right 🫣 thank you! Beautiful work!
Thank you!! 😊 I use 110 pd heavy duty cardstock from Hobby Lobby. I’m not sure of the thickness but I know that four layers is equal to 1/16th of an inch. I use the 2mm blade usually on 7 or 8 depth. I do two passes. Hope that helps you! If you watch my quilt rack video you can see what the package looks like.

I’m happy to hear you think the countertops look like granite. I almost sponge painted them. Granite and marble are not easy for me to paint. ❤️
This is just fabulous Laura, you have an amazing talent!
That means a lot to me Anne! I appreciate that.
Great job ❤

Absolutely stunning and amazing! And those drawer pulls … wow! Your work is truly phenomenal! Thanks! Kathleen
Thank you so much Kathleen!! I wish I could take credit for the drawer pulls but sadly I found several people on Pinterest making them.
All those layers of cardstock made the barber station look so intricate and detailed! Just amazing!
Thank you! It’s interesting how you can fool your eyes with just few layers of paper!
This is gorgeous! Thank you for sharing.
You are so welcome!
Omg you’re brilliant. Using the graph paper, doing it as one flat layout that you add dimension to using card stock. It just looks amazing
Thanks so much! 😊 It worked so well with this project.

Absolutely stunning do you sell your patterns I just love how detailed you always make your project so real looking
Thank you! I’m still new at all this but I hope to one day.
Don't forget to add the Barber Pole. The white is for the Barber. The red represents blood, as many barbers were also doctors.
