I saw a big snake working it's way through some trees at my house. My buddy was creeped out that they could climb in trees. I thought snakes in trees was basic knowledge.

Scale is kinda hard with footage like this, but I think it may be a younger Texas ratesnake? it's 100% either a species of ratsnake, or a species of kingsnake.
Could have eaten a couple chicken eggs, if you have chickens. Its refreshing to see someone who appreciates snakes and how amazing they are. With the internet being my only information source, there definitely is a negative connotation to both "Texan" and "Snake" being used in the same sentence.
The only thing missing from this video is Steve Irwin, may he rest in peace. I just pictured him saying (with his Australian accent, of course), "look at this beautiful creature! Him and all his buddies love exploring trees. You see that lump right there? That's his breakfast. That will stay in his belly for a couple days while it digests. Now I'm going to grab it!" Then he proceeds to grab it and hold it the professional way while talking to it like it's his best friend...🤣😂🙂
