Still turning up the soil to find those hidden treasures. If one kept pigs over this area the pigs would have a hay day digging up history. Better to let the tractor do the screwing down with nature than some farmers going for an unscheduled vertical tour of the farm with a hand held pole digger. Nice Video of the fence build.

The only problem we have had with cattle in a woven fence is they love to rub on the top of it and bend it down. you have a new, strong fence. So, they may not damage it. But, we have added a single strand of barbed wire above it, just to prevent cattle from using the woven fence to scratch on.

Idea: set up a fence trailer having your supplies in it all the time. This is handy when you need to do emergency repairs. After doing a fence project, you check and replenish supplies. Will you run a top barb wire and or an electric stran?

A tip I learned from a pro fencer to get that wire to move more freely and tighten in your cross braces is to use a few of those fencing staples and sit them between the brace and the wires on the outside corners. Stops the wire digging into your post and biting. Keep up the good work, hi from Australia! 🇦🇺

I really think you should invest in what we, in Australia, call a spud bar. With the head of the bar, you can stamp and drive the post in any direction. They come in handy when you require a good lever as well. The chisel end is excellent for breaking up rock. I included a photo in the FaceBook page.

If you ever have a problem where you run the brace wire wrong, you can always run the opposite wire to create a "X". Anymore 90% of the braces I build are that way. Definitely makes them stronger IMO.
