The last time I walked down Erdington High Street, there was a picture house on the left. My grandparents had a café in Station Road on the left after the bridge and we used to go to ABC every Saturday morning.
I was brought up on Balmoral Rd 1975-92 when I joined the Army, haven’t been back for years, Wilton Market and all the shops have changed. Shame about the fire damage to the church, thanks for the walk down memory lane.
Thank you for watching. Glad you liked it.
I have lived in Erdington all my 59 years (live in my late parents house)
I remember as a kid walking up grange road to Erdington with my mates to go shopping
Spent all my money in Woolworths
I used to meet my late mother in Owen Owen in the restaurant with her work colleagues
There used to be offices above Burtons then
My dad died in 2002 and it was a few years before since I went into Erdington so so over 25 years
The high street was going down the pan with many dodgy shops covering up for drugs and spurious dealings
I would not feel safe
🥴🥴☹️☹️😖😖🫤🫤😠😠👎👎🏴🏴
@joanne26 it has changed so much over the years.
Great walk
Thank you.
Lived there a few months. Despite everything of crime news, not that bad
Does anybody remember the club above Burtons.

I will not recommend living here its not worth it
It's been deliberately turned into a shit hole. Once it was such a lovely place to shop.
