Were doing this next month in August and love the post celebration meal! Where did you guys stop for seafood?! We're from FL also! Enjoying your vids. We've done several of the same hikes!

Hi Ruth. Thank you for watching. The restaurant’s name is THE SALTY LANDING. It is located at the town of Brevard, the southern end of Art Loeb Trail. Did you guys arranged your shuttle ride?

Great video! We (Me and 2 friends) will be hiking it from South to North on the 27th of this month. Anything you suggest? Did you learn anything?

Hi There. We did the North to South and hiked the bulk of the uphill on our first day. Our third day was mostly downhill but underestimated that we have to climb those mini peaks and there were several of them in between Balsam knob and Davidson river campground which left us really demoralized. Water source was at Shining rock gap , Deep gap shelter, and Butter gap shelter. We also passed by several streams between Butter gap shelter to Davidson campground. Main views are at Tennent Mountain and Black Balsam knob area which are awesome. Hiking South to North you will be hiking more uphill because Davidson campground is lower in elevation than Daniel Boon campground. For sure you will enjoy the hike.

That is weird that people camped next to you guys the first night. Seems kind of rude and annoying. They probably did not know about camper etiquette.

Hi Todd. We suspected they didn’t notice us as we were on elevated campsite.
