Can you keep us updated on what’s growing in the greenhouse throughout the year? Even just a still at the end of a video every now and then would be interesting.
Hopefully no explicit substances hahah
@@harryeverett2152 Cody does not strike me the type, but it is legal in his state (if you acquire a grower's license and assuming he didn't cross into the Idaho border when buying the new homestead.) And there would plenty of medicinal reasons to do so if you are wanting to avoid being tied to big pharma if one has a medicinal need.
@@DarkAvatar1313 Hah yeah was more a joke. I assume he dosnt but you never know. Personally not my thing at all. Would rather the chemicals of a lab made product hah.
@@harryeverett2152 I actually asked him about his views on cannabis in a live stream. If I remember correctly he said he has never used it but doesn't knock on people who do. It has quite a number of medical uses, especially the CBD.
Nice greenhouse Cody. Time-lapse would be cool to see
High quality machined work is severely underrated these days!
And it starts with the flimsy houses everybody builds, because is cheap.
@@simonrichter1680 they're still not cheap just flimsy.
This east coast guy blows money on guns and reloading supplies, my thumbs are more lead colored than green. Let's see that caterpillar at work.
Ya can't eat lead
@@baldufdaniel just takes 1 little piece of lead to get a freezer full of deer meat.
Mmmk hardasses I bet every one of you badasses wore a mask into Walmart over the last 18 months
@@canaan5337 And if you live in the South-East, you can make money in areas that have wild hog bounties all the while putting barbecue on the table.
West coast man can say whatever he wants, they know who kicked the Brits out and deep down they know they cant hang with that 😂
there are going to be times in our lives when someone else gets an unexpected blessing or receives some special recognition. May I plead with us not to be hurt-and certainly not to feel envious-when good fortune comes to another person? We are not diminished when someone else is added upon. We are not in a race against each other to see who is the wealthiest or the most talented or the most beautiful or even the most blessed. The race we are really in is the race against sin, and surely envy is one of the most universal of those .nice green house Cody
Thank you Adam, fine words,
Cody is our guy, shares the same value as most of us and is just a man building a life for his family, something everyone should be able to do, were it not for the system we are in.
@@77Matt that's the opposite of globalism.
“UA-cam drops bags of cash” 😂😂😂😂
2:19
UA-cam won’t drop anything if you are conservative
@@StephenShreds They'll drop you if you are ha
I think he deserves everything !
Imagine having to figure out how to spend those bags of cash month after month with no break in sight!
After years of hard work this east coast guy will have enough Michelob cans to melt down into my own greenhouse.
Raw material prices are very interesting to me, I also recently purchased a greenhouse and I could buy the entire kit with the frame etc for significantly less money than I could just buy the polycarbonate panels for on their own...
The difference is when you can buy in bulk.
Corporations get the REAL material prices. We get 3x that price
Could be a silly question, but Wranglerstar speaking at the end about having a second one built for dining purposes really made me wonder if Americans have conservatories. Essentially a half glass or mostly glass extension onto the dining area of a house here in the UK and many places in Europe.
Not really but I’m sure some people do. I myself have never seen one here though.
There are a few where I live in the Pacific Northwest. We call them sun rooms or sun porch/patio. Typically on the S side of a house to pick up the available sun in the winter time.
When my father retired to a tiny town in NorCal the house he bought had a glass room ("sun porch"). However, down here in SoCal I have never seen one.
@@sootikins In the UK it seems every other house has one these days. If I ever move to the US I'm starting a conservatory/ sun porch business even if I only sell 1 and its to Wranglestsrt hahaha
@@kierantingle6802 I don't know why there are none around here. It seems like a good idea and I know my dad's sun porch was nice and got lots of use. If you ever start that business you'll confuse Americans if you call it a conservatory. In our version of English a conservatory is a school for advanced musicians. xD

Great video! Love the green house!
As a past window cleaner for you I think a pure water system would be best easily reachable from the ground and no streaks to worry about and longer lasting. It's beautiful Cody!
Can you explain this pure water system more, have a house with lots of glass, Need tips cleaning 🙏
As a present window cleaner I was checking to see if someone else has said it first. They don't like to freeze so keep that in mind when storing and an intimate investment will be around 1000$ if you just go with a DI tank instead of a multi stage filter. Like all things, pray and let God direct your path.
@@rockandmeatroll It is an expensive investment so having a window cleaner come out might be simpler but pure water comes out of the brush using a di tank and this water has no particles in it so it rinses and drys without streaks. There is a big learning curve on technique but it's pretty interesting.
THE SCRATCH OFFS 🤣😂🤣😂 God, sadly I live in New Jersey and I feel like every time I walk into a quick Mart I feel like I'm waiting for someone to buy lotto tickets
I’m not from the east coast but I’ll be dead when I stop buying my weekly Michelob!
Beautiful green house! Can’t wait to build mine one day. God bless and keep up the good work!
A pressure washer mounted on the excavator arm for washing the roof. You can stay clean and dry and practice your skill.
My parents have one of these at their place and made sure to reserve on corner for themselves with two comfortable chairs and a table to enjoy the coziness between all the plants when the weather gets cold. It is a very strange but nice thing to do during autumn and winter.
I want to replace all my windows with that louvered glass! So beautiful, definitely fizz-worthy!
Me too,
These are everywhere on homes here in hawaii and they can be a large pain. I would say to try and imagine what its going to feel like cleaning several hundred louvers (10 to 20 per average window) vs 20 normal windows before going for it.
Those are called Jaliusie windows. I've replaced hundreds of these from porches & such. They're from the 1950's & 60's around here. (CT)
Hey Guys! This is Mulberry Greenhouses, thank you so much for visiting my site and for helping a small business! Very thankful for this video :)
2:08 killing us east coast guys
41 degrees at night - wow, ..."your killing me, Petey, your killing me."
Can't wait to see it up and functioning.
East Coast Guy here, city boy as well. Love the jabs at us, no love loss here. I find your videos informative and entertaining . Much love to you and your family.
wow at first I was thinking 10 grand yikes, but after seeing how nice that thing is, man...its super well made.
Here on the East Coast I believe we could get one of those at our local Ikea store
East coaster here. We built a 20’ tunnel/hallway underground from the basement to a 15’x20 greenhouse underground with the retractable roof set at finish grade. Even at -10 it takes little to keep at 65-75 with geothermal system. I’m sure your cute lil GH will grow you tons of Kale.❤️4U&UR FAM
Gorgeous greenhouse!! When it’s time for us to get a greenhouse, I imagine we’ll get the exact same one. Just beautiful!
Bags of cash! Now that made me truly lol, thanks Cody for the chuckle 🤭
Tune in next week to see how Cody spends another 15k. The UA-cam cash drop must be a real thing. Good for him!!
"Always an East coast guy" 😆🤣... Hey I'm an East coast guy haha... Big fan of what you do.
That green house will be standing there for the next 30 years. Just be careful weed whacking the grass hurl a stone not sure how tough those glass panels are.
Cody said they were tempered glass panes, so I reckon you'd have to be pretty unlucky to break one weed whacking.
@@alex27826I'd still be careful I've seen the damage a hurled rock does I've cracked a window on a customer's house. Learn from that mistake lol

You’re not wrong about the people who boo-hoo all the time about not having quality possessions. Maybe if you stopped watching TV all day, spending your money on cheap garbage and cigs/alcohol, and stopped having kids every few years that you can’t afford, you’d have some decent stuff.
I don’t make much money at all but I have quite a lot of quality/expensive things. I take purchases seriously and am willing to save up for things and do research. Strong work ethic & budgeting goes a long way along with intentionally making the best choice when it comes to major life decisions.
Some plant nursery’s have heating under their greenhouses to warm the soil a little.
They really help get the growing season going early.
You absolutely need to coat that glass with a ceramic coating! I’d recommend something like Gtechniq glass coating! It’ll save you a lot of cleaning in the long run! @Wranglerstar
beautiful greenhouse! It's interesting that it's available from a distributor in Texas. That must be for ease of distribution for the US and not for use in Texas. We have massive hailstones. It's common to have them golfball-sized. I fear I'd have a whole greenhouse until one of those storms hit. You know what they say about glass houses and throwing stones?
Amazing set up Cody! Are you going to build some planter boxes to go in there? A 44galon drum beside it to capture the rain to water the plants would be nice and save you plumbing a faucet next to it.
I have always wanted to have a greenhouse. I love to work with plants and such, but not having a UA-cam channel, and being "old, (77), I just use a "cold frame". It works for me. That is a great looking greenhouse, and I am sure you and Mrs. W will enjoy it for years to come. All that glass would not work too well here on the Gulf Coast with all the storms we have here anyway. ENJOY!
Hello sir because of you I’m going to the fire academy to become a wild land firefighter. I live in Shasta county and my local fire department needs men so I figured I’ll step up.
Just don’t let anyone wear your helmet.
Safety Goggles around your neck and not on top of helmet!
One East Coast man here in full agreement with you on the romans of a winter greenhouse full of Poinsettias with snow all around
I'm a "No Coast" guy living in Romania and it has been nearly 90 degrees here everyday for 3 months. I am praying for the cold. A 40 degree morning sounds like a vacation to me!
How much??? I just bought a 10' X 16' (I've approximately translated that from the proper metric measurements) greenhouse that looks like it has similar spec and strength, and also went for tempered glass. The base cost me £50. The greenhouse cost me £1700 including all the extras such as tempered glass, auto opening windows etc. I could have got the same size in a lower spec for under £700.
“UA-cam comes over and drops bags of cash every month” 🤣 love it you’ve earned everything you have good for you
It is a very pretty and nicely built unit. I fell in love with a truck one time, similar to your experience. It gave me nothing but trouble and cost a fortune to keep on the road. After the honeymoon was over my feelings changed. I’ve since had other trucks I didn’t fall so hard over and the romance is still alive. Moral is time tells all.
I appreciate that you tell us the cost of things. I hope to be at your level at some point in life.
My uncle has one of those. Uses it more as a orangery / greenhouse. So besides the plants there are a table for dinners and a couch. Extends the summers nicely here in the Scandinavia.
Love the jalousie windows and the screw hardware of the roof windows. Very impressive greenhouse.
Your last thoughts about a nice sitting place when its cold outside is in europe (germany) acutally a thing. We call it "Wintergarden", usually direclty connected to the back of the house.
Congratulations with your new greenhouse. Multiple doors can actually be a very good idea for extra air exchange during the summer period.
It is going to be a really nice add to the homestead. Nothing half-way about that thing. It will stand the test of time for sure. Thanks for sharing!
I hope so!
Hopefully UA-cam doesn't drop a big bag of cash through the new greenhouse. 😉
Awesome comment.
The quality of the greenhouse speaks for itself. That's why we in the Netherlands are the #1 farmers in the world. Being the 2nd largest exporter of agricultural products in net weight after the USA on such a small space. We grow everything in greenhouses, from lettuce to papaya.
Any of the old subs know that when Cody started making videos he done it for the love of sharing his storys, knowledge and such and wasn't about the money side of things now after 10+ years of working hard and making content for all to consume for free he is able to spend his money doing lots of things he likes and sharing it with us to watch for free! I cant afford $10k+ on a greenhouse and yes I do think it must be nice but instead of trying to put Cody down and be jealous that I cant have one I like to see Cody and family enjoying the fruits of there labour and if i work hard enough one day I might have that greenhouse :)
Thank you Steve,
Would be a smart idea, like you said, plumb them together and collect the rain water. Use that water exclusively for watering the plants inside! If you kept the rain barrel inside the greenhouse it would eat up valuable space, but, you would have easy access and it would stop from freezing in the winter!
Look into a waterfed pole window washing system. Being on a well you may have to get a reverse osmosis system to run with it as well to keep the water spots off. They’re wonderful to use end would work great for the greenhouse.
Lol, scratch offs and Michelob …
I’m 💯 a south MS East Coast guy and I think it’s hilarious how you’re always making fun of us. 🤣😂 What makes it so funny is the fact that what you say is dead on for 90% of the guys that I personally know. Keep up the excellent content Cody! My family loves you and yours. May God continue to bless you!
I was just wondering you might already went over this and I've missed it but what are you going to use to heat it in the winter
That ornament on top is a snow breaker it prevents snow and ice from building up on the peak.
The Norwex window cloth works wonders on glass. Only water is needed to clean. It might help with controlling chemical use around the seedlings. I highly recommend it.
It sure looks nice . I hope you have many many years of enjoyment from this. And I totally agree with you. I think this would be the perfect place to sit and drink your morning coffee and have breakfast. Especially on a cold snowy winters day. When you and your lovely bride can be cozy and enjoy the view .
I totally agree!
That rain barrel idea would be neat, and could be used to fill a watering pot to water the plants. Zero water expenses, that's a nice feeling.
Cody, building a bio compost bin would be nice. I would like to see you build one, half the barrel under the ground and the other half above ground and the barrel is open from both sides and filled regularly with plants waste from the kitchen, an idea for your next project :)
Old world quality. My dad had two years ayo, a model like you have for stuff like cucumbers/salad and another type that was made of metal tubes bent in half circles with a transparent plastic liner stretched across them. Filled with tomatoes. The cylinder one is cheap and great for storing lumber in the winter and cultivating in the summer.
I bet just when finished filming the video Cody came up with hundreds of new ideas on how to clean the windows
Besides the sun, what will you use to heat it when its in the teens
Dual alternators
Definitely an adornment to the homestead to be proud of. It's only missing the flag! The scratch off's were spot on, but you missed with the choice of malt beverage, it's Budweiser :D
I was wondering why Cody was a bit more cheeky in this video but then noticed he has his comment reading aviators on, and we all know how he gets when he's got them on ;)
Gotta get the rain gutter into a rain barrel.
Definatly a barrel for rainwater, hook up a cheap solar powered pump to it to help water the plants too so Mrs W won't need to fill the watering cans 3 times, 10x20s alot of tomatoes
That is a thing of beauty, congrats.
Absolutely Beautiful! Thank You for Sharing all the progress on your Amazing Homestead! God Bless You and Your Family 🙏💜✝️😇💐
I believe the is a clear film that you can put on the glass and it's self cleaning. Everyone it rains the dirt just washes off. I think it's used on glass conservatory roofs might be handy on the green house roof
Very nice Cody I can't get over the snow on that mountain! That is so beautiful I would love to hike that mountain
LOL!!! My first thought was washing the windows. Will be cool to see it all lush and green inside.
Hey hey! Greenhouse looks swell! Mrs W REALLY loves you now!
Style somewhat Victorian, it would fit in at the Winchester Mystery House!
Ooh...now for the interior. .
Raised beds, vertical racks, chicken visits, hydroponics, goldfish pot with fountain in a corner??? HAHAHA!!!
Heirloom veggies if you can!
Bore Da from deepest darkest west Wales, A long way away I know, but loving your new glass house and the acoustics. Just fab 😊
Very nice indeed.
Very nice greenhouse. I think you might end up being jealous of the plants 🤭
Are you interested in adding some automation to the greenhouse? Auto temperature regulation, auto watering, remote monitoring? Pretty easy and inexpensive if you do it yourself.
Dutch controls Priva, Prins; PNW controls Argus, Delta; Swedish controls BCC AB.
Good to see your doing well
I have been watching your videos for a long time. Love the overall standard of the work you maintain in all your projects.
I have also adopted your phrase 'gives me the fizz!'. I use it at work all the time.
That log pile in the background of this video gives me the fizz.
All the best
Will (from the Island of Borneo).
What a beauty! Your years of hard work are paying off. Congrats!
Poinsettias at Christmas are nice, but if it was full of roses the week before Valentine's Day it might be able to pay for itself.
Congratulations. I very much appreciate what I call a "striving for excellence". It's lost on our cheap throw away society.
"Drops bags of cash" huh ?
Freaking hilarious !😃
Very nice greenhouse! Can't believe it's that inexpensive, reminds me of one I saw installed in the Netherlands on a channel I watch.cant believe the hardware quality. Can't wait to see what you harvest in there. God bless!
I was just going to say that Joe at Homesteadonomics would definitely be doing some rainwater collection on that greenhouse. 👍🏻
Great idea!!
The mental image of UA-cam air dropping cash had me cracking up! You'd do well in England with that dry humour Cody!
The scratch off bit is amazing
I built my wife a green house last year it 12X12 and she loves it Mine is built of wood and windows and poly carbonite panels she too will go sit in it during the fall and winter and read. thanks for sharing
Ahh craftsmanship good to see it’s still out there.
Where's "Overton Windex" when you need him!? Still makes me smile every time I think someone thought to put that username together 😂
Glad to see through the years as things keep deteriorating on both coasts you haven't given up on the west and came to the midwest, we'd be happy to have ya though. Maybe you could help us build a wall to keep the East and West coast folks at bay when they finally decide they've had enough. (so many have already eh)
Us East Coast guys can only afford a Harbor Freight 10' x 12' Green house less than $1000. Works great up to 12" of snow and also has build in gutters. Down side is the double wall poly panels will deuterate in the sun after 5 or more years.
If it works, not a bad deal,
I want one of these. its beautiful and cant wait to see how you fill the inside..
Looks awesome, thought at all about finishing and or plumbing a drain in the slab?
I would put a layer of rainex on there to help keep it clean.
Can’t wait for fall. Best time of the year
That watch looks great on the leather strap! You said it was life changing, can you do a review of that Wranglerstar style?
Yes, I'll do it for you Henrik,
Date night in the greenhouse! God bless you guys.
The greenhouse with poinsettias at Christmas reminds me of the cartoon Frosty the Snowman.
It's gorgeous!
I'm guessing those automatically controlled vents are powered by wax motors. Very cool if that is the case.
They are powered by dual alternators,
@@wranglerstar
The best kind of alternators.
I just love the elegant simplicity of those wax/paraffin powered "motors". Very cool to see them used in a commercial application like this.
It looks great. The boys sure did a nice job putting it together.
It’s beautiful! That will be like a sanctuary in the winter !
