I’m an older guy, 52 to be exact but this bike has my attention, I think it’s great for me to ride around my neighborhood and woods trails. I’m thinking about selling my brand new Tenere and getting one. Please let me know what you think when you get it.
I think the variability of the power is being undersold when it comes to the price. Before if you wanted to even ride a 250 and 450 you would have to spend 20k. So that alone is why I’m looking into getting one
You mentioned that the battery runtime is not the half hour or 45 minutes so many people are saying. Then you gave some loose figures on what the bike had been doing that day. Range anxiety with the battery is the single greatest deterrent for me to seriously consider buying one. I wonder Just what kind of range a trail rider on single track is getting?
That's a valid question. yes at the track the run time is definitely more than 45 min. Although I haven't ridden it on single track, from what I hear it actually performs better in those situation due to its regenerative mode. When the bike is under down hill force, the batter recharges. Check out the other video I did where I break down more aspects of the stark here: ua-cam.com/video/9OBiF0NAMRw/v-deo.htmlsi=X5JaFzZTJ-6gOiXP
I’ve done about 7 hours single track on mine . In trails it uses next to no battery but it’s open roads and fast tracks that use more . I did a super steep , hard enduro style ride a few weeks back , we were out on trails for 3.5 hours and I had 59% batter left at the end . But in fast sand tracks wide open throttle I get 1 hour out of battery . The slower and tighter the trails the better . I run 40hp setting . Mx track I get 45 mins to 1 hour . Last ride was mix of singles and gravel roads I did 40km , 2 hours ride time and had 20% left . Hope this helps . I’m 78kg intermediate rider. Also in trails I ride race pace not casual
theres a place for clutch, people have argued with me that im a moron and you can just use your breaks to modulate the traction but its not the same anyway the varg looks like a beast, 360v I think, motor is so small for the power it gets would love to get my hands on a motor...
@@Rubeless That's not cool. Stark is too based for that communist. Besides he can't even ride his wife anymore. Some other man is when she got red-pilled.
A lot of UA-cam'ers talking about the bike like its gods gift to the motocross industry. But I wonder how much of it is true.. And how much is the Stark Varg representative's telling them to say nice things. I hear both. I ordered one, so I hope, yeah..
its a fair assessment. There are definitely lots of reviews praising the Stark. What I can say is that I'm not paid by Stark and I'm not a pro. just an average rider who wants to see the sport grow. I really believe this bike can grow our sport and give more ppl the opportunity to ride. That's my only position. I think you will have a blast when you ride yours!
Thanks. 🙂 It cost the same as a KTM with aftermarket pipe, ecu and suspension upgrades. So I was hoping I could take down my laptimes a second or two. I ordered mine with rear break on the left hand, not moving my feet to break and change gear has to be a massive benefit..
Had to ride with an idiot with a toaster a couple weeks ago. Beautiful day, but we couldn't ride very long or very far because his POS could only go 40 miles max of good hard trail riding. Had to keep stopping and checking his battery level and always plotting how to get back the quickest if we had too. It's just stupid.
Why not…? A 450 4 stroke was allowed to murder my 250 2 stroke? Why should the 4 stroke rattle box be safe?? A free market is a fair market. Still to this day a 2 stroke 250 is only allowed in the 450. What a crock. Put agendas aside and think. Let the free market decide. It will only push innovation of all bikes. Quit with the BS controlling regulations to force favor to one side. THE INLY ONES WHO SUFFER IN A CONTROLLED MARKET IS THE CONSUMER!! It's going to be a niche thing unfortunately. But that doesn't mean it's not great that people have another option. Not sure how it's going to catch on though as long as fossil fuels are available, as the benefits are so many.
Worth the price for me. I've had mine for about 5 months and it is awesome.
Excellent, clear explanation of why this might suit a vet rider. Thanks for an informative review!
Cannot wait for mine! Ordered the white one a few months ago, delivery is set for May.

That's a very valid point. Being able to by a bike the can feel like a 125 to a 450 without ever buying something new.
Sick video, love how informative you are on it. Keep the good content coming!!!

Hell yeah your shredding🔥🔥
This bike is amazing! But it really is expensive. Hopefully the pic will come down, and get more ppl riding it
For rubes

My local dealer in TX has it listed base price at $11,900.
That not a bad price, ive seen them as high as 13,000
Holy shit lol they’re 18k in Canada
It’s definitely something trudo would ride.

Thanks Dude , Great Video , So getting one 👍
Man. Been deciding on a 24 yz 450 Anniversary. Now this.
Seems like a bike I could motard real easily.
Looks fun

will this one actually survive? as the ones in the past didnt!!
only time will tell
STARK VARG!!!!!!!
You rode too slow not making most jumps. Faster riding jumping further gives better flow.
first time on the bike, so I wasn't super comfortable. but next time I get on it, ill do better for sure. Thanks for watching

**roosts you in CR500 while laughing hysterically**
SV 80HP & 600+ lb/ft torque…
Fair enough. Just don't ride them with the petrol bikes. And certainly don't race them in the same class.
Why even make them? Is the MX community going Greta thornburg.

Lol there's always at least one of "these guys"...
It's already won its first British Arenacross.
It’s an electric motocross bike. It doesn’t need to do enduro or hare scrambles. Honestly I’d love to own one.

If you want or ride an electric bike, you should have 🏳️🌈 decals.
