Technically, we got to know King I was killed by Ogre when Tekken 3 got released, so 1997-1998 for King I (poor bastard got killed off-screen). Armor King I appeared in the console intro (overseeing King II's training) and King II's ending in Tekken 3. He got killed by Marduk just before Tekken 4, which released in 2001. While AK's appearance in King II's ending could be considered non-canon, Tekken 3's console intro might as well be canon, since it shows Nina being awoken from her cryosleep by Ogre (which actually happened, Nina was controlled by Ogre to kill Jin, and in one of Ogre's winposes he beckons Nina to return; his voicelines are sentences in Japanese played in reverse, you get that winpose by pressing and holding 3, or X in PlayStation terms, while the replay is played), Heihachi arriving to ancient ruins left in flames by Ogre, Eddy escaping prison alongside his capoeira Mestre, a meeting between Hwoarang and Jin that was most probably followed by the pre-tournament fight they fought to a draw, and Jin getting his famous mark on his left arm.
You know, I kinda miss when the fruit from Pac-Man represented how many wins a player had in the first two Tekken games. It's the little details you learn to appreciate as you get older.
King and Armor King still are some of the funniest characters you can ever pick. They both play like if this was a whole different game, those animations look quite unique for its time and they still look great even after more than 20 years.
Only discovered you quite recently on UA-cam, so I'm hoping this early comment might get your attention. You are a Tekken genius! Thankyou for these videos!
Ah, the good old days when Armor King was literally a Mishima with the EWGF and quick Lightning Screw Uppercut. Can't forget old King's legendary insta-kill Octopus Stretch.
@@chaoscontroller316 A few of the characters in this game had similar movesets, I think it was because of the tech limitations at the time. Jack and Kuma had very similar movesets as well.
@@Weird_dude265me personally I liked AK's uppercut in Tag 1 and in his secret move in 7 where you input wgf during a ki charge and he does his new-old uppercut that isn't a mishima's
King VS Jack just like Tekken 7, on a TK2 stage that comes the closest to TK7 Arena, with the TK1 Stadium (arena kind of stage) track. I like the thought you put into this, great work!
The drip, the sauce. 🤌🏾 Back at it again with the flame 🔥 Absolutely love all the pouncing going in that cat fight, I love when characters can fight in dynamic and large, and in this case aerial, combat. I fought a silly Akuma online with Devil Jin and it was all jumping, flying, fireballs and lasers. Also Jack-2 pulled off some sassy ass combos
Two of the greatest human beings (not jaguars) in the history of fight game. King the First dedicated his life to helping orphans, the original Armor King mentored King the Second in remembrance of his rival.
i love this game so much, it has maybe the best ost (ps version) not that the songs are masterpieces, the songs are just.. i dont know how to put it, accurate? to all stages and characters, and man it was 1995 i remember the little mini book that came inside the cd box, kinda telling you the story or the backstory of the characters and all... ah... anyway nice vid man!!
I like how King's theme song is playing in Nina Williams stage, it should be Nina's theme playing in this stage. But this was a good fight and the song was a good choice. I think that the musical themes are actually associated with the characters and not the arenas. You just usually don't see the characters outside of their home arenas.
TA stands for "Tool Assisted" - It basically means playing with an emulator to advance the game frame-by-frame, make sure inputs are sent exactly at the right moment, save state and go back in case of need to correct the outcome of the action, if it didn't pan out as expected or there was a mistake. It's a work of perseverance and creative skill, but it's not actually playing the whole thing in real time, as some of the interactions shown in the video are pretty much just frames (not humanly undoable, but would require an unbelievable amount of execution)
Quite sad to see both Original King and Original Armor King get killed! Rest in Peace both King and Armor King! :'(
RIP king 1 and armor king 1
Damn TK2(1995) was last series where both were cannonically alive
@@alexsantos3100 so they've been dead for 26yrs.
Now we need King II to get his revenge for King I.

Shout out to Good Ole, JR
2 Kings will carried out their legacy
The mantle for the next generation
R.I.P for 2 Kings will be missed are the best rivals ever
How appropriate that you do this during WrestleMania.
This is way more eventful than WrestleMania and that’s sad
Braun kinda looked like prototype Jack in WM.
Armor King reversing King's Figure Four Leg Lock to win a round was highly satisfying.
Also, brownie points for the Jack-2 bonus match.
Mmm brownie
The dips are crazy here lol
And the way the music cut out perfect at the KO at the end of 4:17
Ahhh... Back when Armour King had the Dragon Fist technique.
I miss this game.
Looking back, Tekken 2 was pretty freaking amazing. And not just for it's soundtrack.

What I really love about TAS is that the characters can perform moves that players had yet to discover until now.

King vs the King they tell him not to worry about.
I had no idea King's chain grabs could be countered, it was cool to see!
Right button mashes, yep.
Otherwise, goodbye healthbar.

Final Round!

My favourite wrestling characters of all time. Its basically Tiger Mask vs Eddie Gurrerro and I love it. Nice to post it on WrestleMania day as well.
I didn't expect to imagine Eddie Guerrero pulling off a Kazuya uppercut today.
The first Armor King is based off the late mark rocco and the second incarnation is based off the late WWE superstar Eddie Guerrero

The original King and Armor King still going at it even in the afterlife.
Hell yeah, sparring partners for eternity ❤️
Nothing says keeping kayfabe more than a lucha libre wrestler with a jaguar mask doing actual jaguar sounds.

Awesome match!!! I love both kings!!!
I didnt even know you could counter Kings combo grabs. Only seen them on T3. Countering was really hard on T2 though
Love it when they do moves at the same time 😂 then the reversal from the figure four was new to me. 😮
Another comment because this is awesome. I never saw a counter to the chain throw this early in the tekken series. Around 7:45
King vs Jack ☞ Tekken 7 Story mode?!
4:30 Goddammit what a buzzer beater
I was watching this like an Iron Man match. "King already has 3 falls, Armor King needs 2 more wins to catch up!"
Loved how the final round ended
3:42 King break's AK's leg and then AK uses that same leg to K.O. King. Tekken logic xD
Whoah I've never seen those figure-four and sharpshooter reversals!
Yo tampoco
