Man. I am going through exactly the same thing. I am 35 yo, and am absolutely terrified. I have watched all of your videos about this. My E day is very soon, and it's scaring the hell outta me.
Thank You sooo much for making this video. I finally made my first appointment for my consultation. I'm terrified. My hands were shaking making the appointment online and I called them to let the Doctor know that I was going to be a hot mess and was in tears talking to her. My anxiety is through the roof even now and I've got 4 more days until then. I've been severely depressed for the past 2 years because of my teeth. My whole life I've worked customer service and it got to the point where when I quit my last job, I haven't worked since because of the shame I feel about my teeth. I've basically became a hermit and I rarely go anywhere. My social life has suffered tremendously and like I said, it has sent me into a deep dark depression. Watching your video and others like yours have given me confidence and some hope. Thank You.
Awe! You’re like my spirit animal. I’m super excited to see where things go for you, and watch this change. I’ve been through the process, so I know what’s coming for you. Let’s just say, I’m super stoked for you! Also I may be jealous of those dreamy mountains in the background! How blessed are you to see those every day! I’ll be watching! ( in a non stalkerish way)
I'm so sorry that you've had such a hard time with your health! You're such a young man to have such serious issues, but thankfully we now have sedation for those of us with fear of the dentist. I'm waiting for an appointment with an oral surgeon to have my 5 upper teeth pulled. I have a partial already, so I'm lucky in that I only have 5 to heal. I find the support on YT is wonderful, and you are doing such a great service for all of us scaredy cats!!
Thank you so much! I also had juvenile periodontitis ... an also PTSD! today is day 5 with my immediate denture upper jaw. have a lot of struggling with eating. Lower jaw comes in 3 month.
I realize this video is nearly a year old to the date lol.. But I just found out last week that my osteo has affected my teeth too.. And that I have major bone loss also.. I went to the dentist over one tooth last week that was bothering me and came out in tears because he said they all need to go... I feel like I have no support as I have very little family outside of my young adult children.. This happened to my Mom too, and the dentist seems to think its genetic.. At any rate.. Shes past on so I cant ask her what her experiences were and Im searching and searching and searching and not sure what to do and scared everything you mention here.. I joined one facebook support group but they're not much help .. So I dont know.. I never in a million years thought I would have to do this and Im still in shock and intimidated.. Thank you for uploading this because it DOES help
Thank you for sharing your experience with us. I've watched many UA-cam videos about this subject. I suffer from advanced Periodontal disease, so I can totally relate to you. Just started another round of antibiotics today. I'll be watching every video.
Great video. My eday was 2 months ago next week. Medications, dry mouth, and constant infections did it for me. The Facebook group gave me the courage!!
I am 34, getting a top denture next month becuse I am tierd of spending money on my top teeth for them to last 1 year then need fixed aging watch you videos and they help information wise just hope my bite is ok so I can eat I lost 100lbs over 1 year from lack of eating enough food but your video help alot
In about 2 weeks I will be having my uppers removed and an immediate upper inserted. I have watched your videos and want to thank you for giving "tips" that will help me get through my "dental adventure". I am 70 and not looking forward to this at all!!
Mine were pulled Feb 7. May have already commented this but I really appreciate these videos I have the same thing. And I let it go for years and shouldn't have but I'm healing and going back march 24 for dentures or starting the process anyway. 🙂 I had all my 28 teeth pulled with nitrous oxide . great dentist but I recommend going to sleep if u can and I too have medicaid.
Good video, I feel you, I have the same deal, I had my upper teeth removed and all but 6 on my. Lower. 56 and 2 months after tooth extractions . It's weird you got fingers messed up ( I got fingers messed up) I have had knee replacement also, can't wait till my gums/ bone heal to where I can eat solids!
My husband lost a couple of fingers while woodworking. He joked around about changing his woodworking business name to "8 is enough"😂 Anyway, I just wanted to say that I enjoy your optimism. Enjoy your videos too.
Mine is in the bone. You can just tell when it’s in the nerves! It’s a pain like I’ve never felt before!! I’ve had 5 kids and I’d rather give birth that deal with nerve pain from my teeth!! September 18th is my E day!
Courtney Watson congrats to you as well!!! I’m a little scared too not going to lie. I know I’m going to feel so much better though. It’s all going to be worth it! We will be pain free!!
Omg... me. Literally me.... and I'm 27... i laugh, smile, talk even... hiding my teeth. I was born with no enamel, my teeth stood no chance... crowns were placed, but now are having less to hold on to. Now, here i get ready to have my impressions on june21st e days are set for July 7th and the 14th. Any thoughts on imediates vs permanents? Sedation vs not sedated? Thank you!
Hey buddy I had my teeth removed due to improper care. I can say this when u get your teeth removed go as long as possible before you get your denture don’t waste time on a immdiate denture just wait for a month or so then get permanent denture your going to use a lot of denture glue first year but after that hard relive and I don’t use any adhesive in my denture going on three years
I am having mine done next month(Oct.) and my private insurance covers up to 1500 a year I am having to pay the remainder out of pocket so extractions and immediate plates are going to cost me 6551.52 out of pocket it seems like a lot but without insurance it would have cost me almost 12,000.

Thank you! For your open and honest sharing and documenting of this. You are helping a lot of people.

I wanted to add: if you’re dealing with bad tooth pain, clove bud oil is phenomenal for helping the pain!!! Nothing works but clove oil does.
When I had teeth and had toothaches. Vanilla extract right on the tooth was my go to.
Giving me more confidence

I can definitely agree with this statement. My E day is 10/14 and I can't wait...I'm scared but I know it's the best decision for me.

How much are you paying out of pocket for the immediate denture? I know medicaid does not cover that.
