My dad's a chef and a recovering alcoholic, I'm sending him this video asap. I appreciate that you tried something new for the many that can't drink alcohol
I like it, some people ignore mocktails or dismiss them as "juice with garnish" but they should be just as interesting as any cocktail. I like the thought and creativity put into these mocktails, well done.
Since I haven't been able to find a followup video to this, so I thought I'd recommend a new book out crafted by the team behind Aviary and Alinea (which is regularly considered the top restaurant in the US and a cocktail lounge which is just as creative). It's called "Zero: A New approach to nonalcoholic drinks" and dedicated to nonalcoholic drinks, with I think like 100 recipes or so. (Note: I'm not affiliated with the group in any way beyond having eaten/drank at the restaurant and cocktail lounge so I learned about it on their mailing list) It's got some overlapping technique as used on this channel like a few clarified milk punches (like chai banana, and tomato strawberry). They're a bit involved and involve advanced techniques like on this channel but don't require any expensive specialty equipment (beyond a juicer), and they're ridiculously creative (such as drawing inspiration from Mexican mole, BBQ and Thai green papaya salad and pairs really well with dishes from those cuisines, ones that have flavors that evolve over time). It's probably the only book on nonalcoholic drinks I've seen that has drinks as interesting as the ones in this video. There's a backbar section showing how to create 1:1 substitutions to use for straight up replicating cocktail recipes (not perfect flavor replicas but aimed at capturing what makes each liquor enjoyable to an extent), while also having a framework for designing more original nonalcoholic drinks. Might be tricky to find online, for some reason it isn't on Amazon yet (might be related to publishing during COVID19). I found out about it because I was on the Alinea mailing list to hear about updates, but you can go to www.theaviarybook.com/zero-standard-edition/ (It says preorder but it came in the mail for me a couple weeks ago)
This couldn't come at a better time. Currently planning a bachelor party for a friend who doesn't drink and was trying to find good non-alcoholic recipes for his big night!
I've been wondering if you do your VO live or in post for a while, I assumed it had to be done in post but now I've got it confirmed! Great video here as always man!
Did a nice twist on the first mocktail with Orgea in it. Did it like this: 2 cl orgea 2 cl Fresh lime juice 1cl sugar syrup 2cl of ginger beer stir in a collins glass and top with mineral water. Garnish with a Apple leaf (or whatever you can find) This adaptation was great if you just need something smooth and refreshing when working in bar, or dancing your ass off on the dance floor as a guest.
PJ Vis just add Thyme-Oregano brew if they still wanna get tippsy 😂😂. But it does work though . Add half a cup of each herb to 2 cups of water for a good brew. Only a little is needed for a good punch.
Mocktails are brilliant even if you drink alcohol! You can space out your alcoholic cocktails with non-alcoholic beverages and enjoy your night a little longer without getting wasted. :P
I occasionally work as a bartender, and the way I was taught to pronounce "orgeat" is "or-zhay." This made it easy for me to remember what it looks like because, well...
As someone who can't drink more than one alcoholic beverage a day because of medicine I really appreciate the mocktails! I'd love to see more! Love your content!
I RARELY ever drink and when I do I never drink alot. This is an amazing video and I thank you for it!! I love your videos and the drinks always look fantastic but without alcohol it's hard to recreate them. I might start to drink a bit more and slowly begin trying the alcoholic ones.
This is awesome! I love having non alcoholic options so people can pace themselves at a party while still getting to always have a drink in hand. Wonderful idea!
I've always found the idea of cocktails and alcohol interesting and so I've always watched and looked at books and recipes even though I can't drink (I'm 16), so I'm excited to try these recipes. Thanks!
Loved this, thank you! Mocktails are great for making sure the designated driver still gets to have fun and refreshment. I'll be sure to remember these!
Just wanted to say that we tried recipe 2 and 3 and the cucumber oregano sour was actually FANTASTIC. Really loved it and made it again. Didn’t have agave nectar so used maple syrup and it was still really great! The salt and oregano give that savoury hit and the aftertaste of salt/cucumber and oregano lingering was really special! More of these!
Just a recipe I use, a virgin swizzle Get a rocks glass Squeeze half a lime into the glass. Add ice Fill up with ginger beer to just below the ice level. Add flarnum syrup to taste.
I'd love to see more of these. Every event has someone that doesn't want to drink or that should slow down a bit and these don't spoil the fun. Low alcohol cocktails (1oz or less spirit) would be great.
Thank you! I’m a Muslim and I love interesting, infused and creative, artistic drinks. I truly believe effort can be put into non alcoholic drinks and be some cool James Bond guy!!
These moctails look and sound delish! Will be trying them soon. Just made the agave ginger syrup for those fabulous sounding Moscow Mules I'll be making Thursday! My friends and I have "Therapy Thursday!"
Please make more of these! I just made the Orgeat Lemonadr and it tasted wonderful. Please more of these drinks that use actual cocktial making techniques
I couldn't stop laughing during the first one: "orgia" is the Italian for "orgy" and it has the same identical pronunciation. Also, nut milk. (yes I'm childish, but it was hilarious) (love your videos and appreciated this alcohol-free special)
Im glad you made those Mocktails. Since I turned 18 I fell in love with Long Drinks and Cocktails, but some Mocktails from time to time, especially in the summer when its sometimes just to hot to enjoy alkohol, those should be a great alternative.
ooh blackberries are my favorite. I don't drink alcohol so this would be really nice for me and my other friends who don't drink to have if we want something different!
Thank you, thank you, thank you! I've been wanting to learn how to make good mocktails, and this is perfect!!! Please, at some point, can you make more mocktails? We tea totallers can't drink one-note drinks forever!
So many ways to make a great non alcoholic drink. Using fresh fruit and herbs like watermelon and basil together, and you've got a sip so refreshing you won't even care that there's no alcohol in it! 😋
Hey! Honest question. I showed this episode to some people and they asked: "What's the difference between orgeat and sweetened almond milk other than orange flower water?" I didn't have an answer, even though the texture does look different I wasn't sure.
My partner is lactose intolerant and takes pills that prevent them from having alcohol. This was a godsend, thank you. I won't feel bad when I have a nightcap now
Great recipes, thanks! It would be great to have more mocktail episodes :) By the way, the smoked blackberry can be turned into a delicious Cocktail by adding 2 ounces of vodka ;)
orgeat, sounds like and is basiclly orchata. which is a sort of "milk" made from a type of nut. inthis case you used almonds but it is more traditionally made with sesame seed.
I just thought it would be great, if Bwb made a video for cookies using the nut meal (or is it spelled meel?), from this video. Because I have no idea what cookies you can use that for
my father works is Kalleh co. which is one of the biggest food product companies in Asia. it makes milk products, popsicles, pizzas, amazing sodas which taste like milk and... his boss is looking for new ideas for products and I thought that I can make a canned non alcoholic long island iced tea. the thing is, I don't know how to replace all of the alcohol, so I was wondering if you could help me in that
My dad's a chef and a recovering alcoholic, I'm sending him this video asap. I appreciate that you tried something new for the many that can't drink alcohol
But what if your dad watches all the other videos afterwards?
How's your dad doing?
DanVR Are you deaf? His dad is a boomer == cannot use UA-cam.
I like it, some people ignore mocktails or dismiss them as "juice with garnish" but they should be just as interesting as any cocktail. I like the thought and creativity put into these mocktails, well done.
quite a great idea. i have some friends that simply don't drink alcohol, and this is a great way to please them :D
Glad to hear it!
Same here.Only problem is that they tend to down the drinks as soon as they get them since there is no alcohol lol
Cocktail Chemistry nutmilk lol
so is a moscow mule
You're a good friend.
More of this Mocktail series please!!!! Its summer here, and would love a thirst quencher for the hot day.

Thanks Greg!
Hey Greg how you doin? Love your vids too
Both you guys got me wanting to learn more about bartending and getting a home bar
Did a nice twist on the first mocktail with Orgea in it. Did it like this:

Now I don't have to worry about the minors in my family at parties anymore. Thanks mate.

I used these recipes in an open drybar at my high-school prom this weekend and every one loved them thank you.

Matt G I'd love to have some nut milk.

Hehe
Thats funny
You missed the opportunity of saying nut juice...

I’m a sober bartender and I always wanted to drink some cocktails so thank you for this
I occasionally work as a bartender, and the way I was taught to pronounce "orgeat" is "or-zhay." This made it easy for me to remember what it looks like because, well...

I think I will make Orgeat alone just because of how great it looks as a possible desert sauce or glaze.
It's basically drinkable marzipan, so that's not a bad idea
as a 12 year old kid with dreams of being a bartender, this made my day
This is awesome! I love having non alcoholic options so people can pace themselves at a party while still getting to always have a drink in hand. Wonderful idea!
I'm a bartender in Australia and my weak point for sure is mocktails! Thanks a heap for posting this
I've always found the idea of cocktails and alcohol interesting and so I've always watched and looked at books and recipes even though I can't drink (I'm 16), so I'm excited to try these recipes. Thanks!
Loved this, thank you! Mocktails are great for making sure the designated driver still gets to have fun and refreshment. I'll be sure to remember these!
Every so often I'll go a couple weeks without drinking. Part cleanse, part sanity check. This is a fantastic help.
My sister is determined to not drink Alcohol. These are really cool alternatives for her! Love the video!
These are so fancy and look amazing! Im pregnant and every now and then wish I could indulge in a drink, definitely going to try these!
Just wanted to say that we tried recipe 2 and 3 and the cucumber oregano sour was actually FANTASTIC. Really loved it and made it again. Thanks man. I'm going to make these to my girl, she doesn't drink, so your mocktails are great.
My little sister's always been interested in cocktail making but is too young get into it, this is an awesome alternative. Great video
I appreciate that you're using weight measurements that make sense
This is exactly what I was looking for! Something a little extra that isn't just replacing alcohol for sparkling water.
Amazing! I'm too young to drink alcohol, but I love making drinks, so this is the perfect video for me. Keep the good work up!
That second looks amazing! I'm going to offer these to the DD's tonight when I work and credit you with the ideas!
Let me know how it goes!
I'd love to see more of these. Every event has someone that doesn't want to drink or that should slow down a bit and these don't spoil the fun. Low alcohol cocktails (1oz or less spirit) would be great.

Thank you for the great drinks! I don't drink alcohol but always wanted to try some of your cocktails so this was great!
I'm glad that you also have non alcoholic cocktails. I'm interested ether way, I'm certainly going to try this one out.
These moctails look and sound delish! Will be trying them soon. Just made the agave ginger syrup for those fabulous sounding Moscow Mules I'll be making Thursday! My friends and I have "Therapy Thursday!"
Always a good idea to have some mocktail recipes in your back pocket! Cheers! 👍
this is really great, i can't drink for at least a few weeks so i will definitely give these a try. perfect timing!
I NEED more of these mocktail recipes, I’m under legal drinking age, but want to make cocktails, because it looks like fun and is kinda cool.
Love your videos and especialy the meta humor in this one :-D
I try
Cocktail Chemistry looks like Babish rubbed some of his meta humor on you! (It's totally a good thing!)
Cheers mate. My friend can't drink alcohol for medical reasons, now she won't feel left out, I can make her a drink too
Please make more of these! I just made the Orgeat Lemonadr and it tasted wonderful. Please more of these drinks that use actual cocktial making techniques

(love your videos and appreciated this alcohol-free special)
Thanks dude for your mocktail video it's tricky for us to replace the alcohol
Im glad you made those Mocktails.
Since I turned 18 I fell in love with Long Drinks and Cocktails, but some Mocktails from time to time, especially in the summer when its sometimes just to hot to enjoy alkohol, those should be a great alternative.
These look so delicious! I especially can't wait to try the one with orgeat!
It's my favorite of the 3
Love the Mocktail idea! Had to find some for my wife when she was pregnant!
ooh blackberries are my favorite. I don't drink alcohol so this would be really nice for me and my other friends who don't drink to have if we want something different!
Get fruit punch (I used Gatorade) add a shot of lemon juice. Pour over lime or orange
I'm not the only one who was upset at the constant use of the words "nutmilk" right xD awesome vid tho!!!
More mocktails would be greatly appreciated since I don't drink alcohol, like ever.
Im not old enough to drink, but I love watching these videos XD
The dog in your pfp has an ugly haircut. That style went out in the 80's.
@@stevenconley9527 fucking weab
I love this thank you I don't drink but I love the channel so this is perfect for me 😀
Thank you, thank you, thank you! I've been wanting to learn how to make good mocktails, and this is perfect!!! Please, at some point, can you make more mocktails? We tea totallers can't drink one-note drinks forever!
I haven’t drunk any alcohol in 2 months but I miss cocktails so this is perfect, thank you!
So many ways to make a great non alcoholic drink. Using fresh fruit and herbs like watermelon and basil together, and you've got a sip so refreshing you won't even care that there's no alcohol in it! 😋
Finally something I would drink. Love this channel, but refuse to drink alcohol (ironically enough). I Will have to try these

Hey! Honest question. I showed this episode to some people and they asked: "What's the difference between orgeat and sweetened almond milk other than orange flower water?" I didn't have an answer, even though the texture does look different I wasn't sure.

Thanks a lot!° Was looking forward for mocktails!! :D
Just beautiful, I'll try'em all
Great recipes, thanks! It would be great to have more mocktail episodes :) By the way, the smoked blackberry can be turned into a delicious Cocktail by adding 2 ounces of vodka ;)
One time I mixed Mountain Dew with grenadine, it was pretty good
The most awesome UA-cam channel I have found you are awesome
i love learning from you bro! keep it up!!
I made the lemonade. I think adding vodka would make it better. Would you recommend adding regular vodka or citrus vodka?
Thanks i love this because im 14 and cant legaly drink so this is obviously amazing
Great video, Cocktail Chemistry! They all sound tasty; any recommendations of liquor to turn these mocktails back to regular cocktails?
thank you for doing this! non drinkers never get anything goos
orgeat, sounds like and is basiclly orchata. which is a sort of "milk" made from a type of nut. inthis case you used almonds but it is more traditionally made with sesame seed.
I would like another episode of this
Does this remind you of binging with babbish
he made an appearance on his channel and babish appeared on this channel
I just thought it would be great, if Bwb made a video for cookies using the nut meal (or is it spelled meel?), from this video. Because I have no idea what cookies you can use that for
you should do a video on how to make cold brew coffee
Very nice voice,IL try this kicktails!!
>use unsalted nuts
>add salts
mfw
you put the mfw before you describe what happened. Example:
MFW he used unsalted nuts in a salted beverage.
It's because you use less salt than they use for salting almonds. Good luck with desalting salted almonds partally to make it proper amount of salt :)
Card Wallets Nah you can put the mfw after plenty of green text stories do it
tfw is usually used after the greentext
but does it really fucking matter
He needs complete control of the flavor so that’s why
This looks way too tasty, now i need a drink, thanks...
"Smoking rosemary" Not since my weedman ran out of oregano, brother.
Great vid, I had to ajust the first mocktails to 2 part lemon, 2 part orgeat, 4 part water, otherwise it was way to sweet for me.
my father works is Kalleh co. which is one of the biggest food product companies in Asia. it makes milk products, popsicles, pizzas, amazing sodas which taste like milk and... his boss is looking for new ideas for products and I thought that I can make a canned non alcoholic long island iced tea. the thing is, I don't know how to replace all of the alcohol, so I was wondering if you could help me in that
awsome vid, where did you get the ideas/recipes for the drinks?
ill try the dark cherry. thanks!
Can you try making a teen cocktail maybe with so apple cider or some near beer
I'll be turning 20 soon so this is a great video
I would absolutely say that right now, mocktails are a subset of cocktails. So no worries
I was really hoping Binging with Babish was gunna come in and show how to make cookies from the almond mush 😂 #giveuscollab
Sweet, now i can drink! Legally!
