Samsung IG955 AKG fake vs original? Teardown!

Over the years I've bought a few of these Samsung AKG in ear headphones and some sound OK while others completely lack bass. I thought there was a seal issue between the driver and enclosure so I cracked open a pair to see if the issue is fixable. I suspected that the double sided tape that holds the driver against the case wasn't doing it's job so I decided to completely epoxy the driver in it's place. Unfortunately that didn't fix the low frequency issue so out of curiosity I wanted to open a pair that sounded as they should to compare the drivers and indeed, there are differences! Not sure what's the deal but one pair definitely uses some cheap and bad sounding drivers, so I suspect they're knock offs. Be careful where you buy these from, you never know what you get. By the way, both pairs costed about the same price, so that alone can't be a hint for genuine headsets.

hoped they dont go out making a better knock off after this vid came out ( that hires nozzle grill is a giveaway) since anything else can be copied ( the flexy twig, cable rigidity n eartips)

Maybe they manage to make the knockoff sounding better than the original :)
