The speed at which these two put out analysis is wild!
Titans will have an above average Offensive Line this year to if they Draft Joe Alt for Left Tackle. They just signed the Best interior lineman in Free agency in Center Cushingberry from Denver. Pair them with last years 1st round pick Peter Skoronski and they could be the Most improves O-Line in the NFL.
But there ist still no one on the right side😕
@@mickdock6178NPF and Radunz will probably compete against a mid to late round rookie OT
I hope so cause their OL has been trash since 2019/2020 season. Never made sense why we tried to run up the middle or have a pocket QB when our OL ranked in the 20’s. Rolling out or running out should have been the goal.
Pollard, Ridley, and Boyd added to the mix... Levis is about to kill...
While I was disappointed in Pollard last year, it may just be the injury. He may be vintage Pollard this year, and it all works out. The life of an RB is tough, and I always wish these guys the best, especially after a major injury... Unless they go to the Eagles or Redskins.
Pollard just didn’t look as fast as the year previous. I don’t think this is a good signing. Pollard has zero short yardage skill
What's a redskin
@@chevy4x466that’s exactly why you pair him up with tyjae spears who was one of the best short yardage running backs in the league last year
@@chevy4x466also in the first 9 weeks of the season pollard had only 9 forced missed tackles, but through the final 9 weeks he had 38. He was clearly not fully healthy for the first half of the season
@chevy4x466 Yep. You could tell because they trusted Zeke more on goal line carries. Hopefully Pollard is fully healed this year.
It’s basically a two year deal at 7.5M a year. Pretty good bargain if you ask me.
4mill cap hit this year 🔥🔥
@@blkjohnnybravo3506 crazy value!!!
This room drinkn that haterade
Tyjae never missed a game nor practice. I think the knee thing is overblown in my opinion
tyjae has no acl that boy diff
It's a committee back field. I really think at the end of the season the touches will be almost split even
Cowboys #1 in points scored last year and Pollard was holding them back. Titans #32 in points scored last year and Tyjae looked to be the most explosive part of that offense. I agree with the overlapping skill sets, but chance that Spears is just better than Pollard at this point?
I think pollard was coming off a leg injury last season, hopefully he gets faster with more time
If I'm Ten ownership, I'd probably not want to give an RB w no cartridge in one knee 20 carries. Spears is probably destined to screen passes and maybe 12-15 touches a week, that might hopefully extend his career past the 4 year initial contract
a little pricey but I think both can be in the backfield on some plays and that teams have to guess if we will pass or run the ball. Something that with Derrick Henry was not really feasible.
King Henry will be missed but I like the potential versatility of this new RB group. I can see another RB/FB being drafted late (6th or 7th) to complete the RB room.
I give the signing a solid 7.5 with good potential for a higher mark.
8 mil a year is not pricey lmao
Had to replace Henry as a Diehard Titans Fan, I don't love it or hate it.. I actually like the Lloyd Cushenberry signing more , Aaron Brewer just didn't do it for me Center is an underrated position certainly not the most exciting but Important none the less
I'm really hoping the Titans Draft Joe Alt for Left Tackle. With Alt and Cushenberry and last years 1st round pick Peter Skoronski the Titans could have the makings for one of the better O-Lines in the league. Fingers crossed. Titan Up !
People keep talking about Tyjae knees... he didn't so much as miss a practice... #32 is fine
I like the move. RBs get injured. So why not have 2 guys split and stay fresh
As a Titans fan you guys bring up an important point. I love and appreciate what Derrick Henry did for the franchise but he is too one dimensional when he’s on the field. It gives away the play too often. I honestly felt like Spears was the far more effective back when he was in the game as blasphemous as that sounds. I love this signing and realistically it’s only a 2 year deal with the guarantees
You're upset that he's Derrick Henry?
@@howardmighty6764 i love derrick but the season he broke his foot they made the 1 seed and filled his role with D’onta Foreman and Dontrel Hilliard off the couch. He can’t pass block or run routes. When he’s on the field you’re limited in the kind of plays you can call. It’s just the truth
I agree... Henry was GREAT!
But in this new offense (more pass heavy) I think Pollard is an upgrade over Henry?
Ranking TP way ahead of Tyjae is wild lol
Right... They'll find out...
They got pollard because his skill set meshes so much with spears like you said. And the reason being is because they don’t want the defense to have a clue who’s out there for what. They both can do everything. So the defense can’t key on one guy for one thing. The titans run game and pass game was so predictable with Henry. They wanted away from that. I think their touches and receptions will be near equal. They just want 2 guys that do the same things so defense can key in on passing downs or running downs.
tony pollard pollard pollard hes the man he can do it anytime
I think those carries/touches will be closer to 50/50, but I guess we'll see.
Yess…Tony Pollard is bigger than he looks and looked way better 2nd half of year. At 3/$24 that is a good price for 250 touches and also a big enough investment that he won’t be on the bench….this sets up nice for him I think
Great video but spears is definitely the number 1 over Pollard. They'll get very similar carries probably but spears will get way more receptions.
Same "disadvantage" that Derrick Henry brought in tipping of the run is the same advantage he brought to the play action game. Thing is if the you can't get separation on the outside it's a wash
oh that last sentence stings in truth. separation on the outside could be an issue.
Pollard is Joe and Tajae is Gio
Let’s gooooo
First off Spears is not dealing with a knee issue. He played all season in his rookie year.
My biggest concern is Pollard didn't thrive behind a top 5 O-line.... I know personnel changes are under way for the Titans....but I don't see Pollard flourishing in Tennessee when he could barely move beyond the LOS in Dallas.
Dallas RBs were getting hit behind the LOS at a similar rate to the titans.
@@russhagan861There were injuries and stuff of course that attributed to this, but you can in no way, say the Titans Oline (probably ranked bottom 10%-20% in the NFL) is going to run block better than the Cowboys Oline (top 15-20% in nFL).
@@og1kanobi40 Show the oline run blocking stats and I'll agree with you. No, I don't think they were as bad as the Titans, but I don't think it was far off. Pollard also was injured and looked like a different back the second half of the year. It's a really good pickup IMO.
Time will tell I guess! @@russhagan861
One thing ppl never talk about with Dallas is the change in offensive philosophy and play calling. Pollard best year came under Kellen Moore. McCarthy took over play calling and the run game wasn’t the same no matter who was back there. McCarthy imo has never been a good play caller although he did well in the passing game this past season the run game suffered heavily. If he is calling plays again it will be similar in the backfield to last season.
I was excited for Spears, but now it’s murky.
I love spears but im not sure he can carry the load as a bell cow...i can see him sharing time with pollard and both being at top shape should be good
I think you are wrong about the carry ratio. Pollard will be the change of pace back.
Pollard looked like an imposter last year. I wouldn’t have touched him
I tend to agree based on last year, but this is a complete new staff. They don’t have any loyalty to the players so I don’t think that’s a lock
I hate analytics. Especially when there is visual information. Pollard doesn't seem that great and doesn't matter about the run if they can't block anyone to create enough space for the back. But i'm sure the Titans are making these moves to be more pass orinented, which was something I hate the game being shifted into.
Tony Pollard plays a lot like Joe Mixon. Callahan wants to run that same type of scheme he ran in Cincy.
Pollard as the Power back? HAHAHAHAHA
Make no mistake, Spears is the RB1. Pollard will fill his best role, spelling the RB1 and coming in for explosives. Put on the tape and see how skilled Spears is at purely running the football. He has a wiggle and boost that’s top notch. It will be a 60/40 split in favor of Spears this season.
Keep in mind, Spears literally matched Henry’s snap count last year as a rookie. And that coaching staff LOVED Henry. That should tell you all you need to know
What makes you so sure about that? The contract that pollard got is starter money. They have similar skill sets
@@DynastyFF777 I think Callahan and Ran are very analytical. Pollard is at his best at RB1.5, coming off of the bench. His RB coach even said that he loses his effectiveness with too many snaps. Ultimately I’m very high on Spears. But you are absolutely correct, Pollard did get starter money. They are almost a clone of each other though, I think coach wanted his type of RB always available and you won’t lose any offensive play calling option when either one is off the field.
@@DynastyFF777 I think they looked at it like they could pay that ~8 mil for pollard but it’s essentially paying for the RB position overall considering they will likely evenly split snaps
Pollard cannot hold Henry's jock. This will be an irrelevant free agent signing. No chance he matches King Henry's production. 880 yards and 4 tds.
Totally different team, ran by different game managers. Can't compare 24 to 23 at all.
Lol Henry is nearly washed you guys don’t wanna accept it
@@yanksfan6833 Worst O-Line. No QB. No WR talent. Terrible team. Henry was the #1 Fantasy RB over the past two years. Hmmmmmmmmmm.
@@yanksfan6833 over 1K yards with a crappy line and poor coaching, YUP you really watch football. LOL!
@@davemanhawaii in 2021 when Henry broke his foot Donta Foreman and Dontrel Hilliard literally got off the couch and matched Henry’s production lmao. You guys don’t understand how modern NFL works
Is Pollard really that much better than Swift? Neither have shown anything in the short yardage game, and Swift has just as much burst as Pollard. Pollard has also been disappointing as a pass catcher. I think they are both on the same level ability-wise
Swift has never in his life had a season like pollard did b4 he broke his leg. Pollard over swift easily.
Y’all don’t know anything about Tajee he was much better than TP in short yardage situations smh
We did NOT need a running back!!!! How about a better defense or how about elite eide receivers and not small school average receivers
You think having one RB works in today's NFL?
I said it when Tony was blowing up behind zeke he is not a #1 back! Never was never will be he is a 3rd down back and a second half back when a power back already wore out the defence!
What knee injury exactly is spears dealing with? I'm curious to hear and don't say his past shit because that's not dealing with that's dealt with. I'll wait!
That’s what he’s talking about😂
It's not an injury, but during the Combine, tests revealed a full thickness cartilage loss, and no ACL in his knee. Additionally, Spears has arthritis.
Pollard and Ridley were two of the most overhyped players last offseason. Team killers.
😂😂😂 a lot of money for a mediocre RB. Nothing to suggest he'll be any better this year than last on a much worse offense.
8 mill is NOT a lot of money
Pollard disappointed last year.
Can Pollard throw 7 touchdowns? NO! Dumb not to re-sign The King.
He don’t fit, & you sound dumb
Lmao. Guys spears in the 1a. Pollard is gonna be 1b.
Spears played all year, what knee injury? I stopped listening right there.
Stupid move he ain't it
Pollard is not better than swift, that’s a garbage take
Yes he is lol
Pollard stinks, Titans fighting with the Panthers for the worst franchise
😂😂 stop 🛑
@@MayberryAIArt true or false?
@@ref233Pollard is good. Dallas run blocking schemes have sucked since they started trying to turn Dak into a pass happy guy

Do you agree they need 2 tackles in the draft in addition to a guard and possible center?
Do you still have hope in Treylon Burks?
