I recently got a seven gallon fermonster. I really like it so far. I have expanded from meads, ciders, and fruit wines, and have started making sake. Try packing 120 cups of cooked rice into a glass carboy. Yeah right? I like that they are super clear. I like to see what's going on. I love that they make the spot for the spigot, as I was planning on it anyway. I looked into the widemouth glass bubblers but, between the cost and how heavy they are, the fermonster just made more sense. Plus, I would be so afraid of breaking the glass ones. I enjoyed your video and the enthusiasm for the craft. Thanks for the information. Solidified my decision to use them.
You said to click the link on the spigot for instructions and there's none there. Does the gasket go on the inside or outside and does the conical side of the gasket go up against the fermonster or spigot? Nice vid.
Hi, it all depends on how much you want to make. I always recommend the 6 Gallon (23L) since the work of cleaning is basically the same. But, for cider - if it's from actual apples, it takes a bit of work - pitting, cutting and mashing up . In that case I would look at a 1 - 3 Gallon. * We have a 3 Gallon Starter kit thats handy: www.dannyswineandbeer.com/products/3-gallon-all-purpose-starter-kit-beer-wine-and-high-alcohol *and a cider recipe kit: www.dannyswineandbeer.com/products/apple-cider-ingredient-kit-1

What would you recommend as a first fermenter? Was going to try some cider first, then probably beer. Thanks for the video.
