Hello, how many liters does 1 pill cost?
Should I use it every time I rack? Or just 1 tablets per gallon and no more?
I've been reading the amount recommended in the instructions is a bit much. Do you find they affect flavor at the recommended amount?
No it will not change the flavour, however you can add less if you are sensitive to sulphites.
I added tablets (about 1.5 for 2 gallons). Now my ferment won’t start. 2 batches of yeast haven’t taken. What do I do?
I'm in the same boat. Added 1 tablet to 1 gallon. Waited 24 hours, stiring periodially. Pitched yeast with nutrient and it hasn't started fermenting? Should I wait another 24 (48? hours) and try pitching yeast again?
Campden Tablet / Potassium Metabisulphite kills bacteria and yeast too. So after adding Campden Tablets don't add yeast instantly, wait for at least 24 hrs or more (48hrs) then add yeast. Still initial fermentation might be slow or late but will start gradually.
