    Really helpful video.
    I have a few questions,
    1) While having the subcircuit, Do I need to add the components again in the schematic which has been already used in PA-SI analysis?
    2) What is this reference means? If there are 2 separate grounds: PGND and AGND then what is a reference?

      Hi Garima,
      Your answers:
      1. No, when you attach components in SIPro then those would be already populated in Schematic if you chose to select components as "Updateable After Simulation" in newer ADS releases else they will be included in the S-Parameter block in schematic but not accessible to users to modify the values but it will be included.
      2. Reference is GND and you can pick the right reference based on which GND is applicable for the Nets you are simulating. In most designs you can have different GND planes and it is users responsibility to pick right one for Port setup.

To perform odb++ import and evaluate in ADS the file must include electrical models, correct? No electrical models, no ADS evaluation?

      Hi,
It is not needed to have electrical model as you can add them pretty easily in ADS/SIPro so don't hold back...😊

I have a question. I am trying to import odb++ file in ADS but getting an error message which says: "Hole Polygon found with no islands defined". Can you please help me in sorting out this issue ?

Thanks a lot for a clear tutorial. Is it possible to import the Altium designer file for simulation?

    • @BhargavaAnurag

tuyen le ...I guess Altium supports ODB++ export and if so, you can import the same in ADS and follow the process shown here...

@@BhargavaAnurag in my design I added 12 mera to be investigated but in the final stage of your tutorial I can see only 12 ports (I expected to have 24 ports , 2 per each signal). How can I see all the ports. Thank you in advance

Great tutorial! Much better than the ADS official ones. It would have been more informative to add IBIS drivers and receivers for DDR memories rather than IBIS AMI SERDES models. Perhaps also using the ADS Memory Designer to evaluate a full DDR memory bus.

Hello Sir, I am Kavitha, it was indeed a very helpful video. I have a doubt as in is it the same procedure to import tgz file format to HFSS directly by choosing ODB++ option from the import dropdown in the HFSS software or do I have to first import it to Ansys SIWave and then export to Ansys HFSS.

      Hi Kavitha,
I don't have any experience dealing with HFSS related queries or access to those tools. Kindly contact Ansys support team to get help.
