Hey I have spent 3 months in Australia last year, all I can say is GWM is selling like pancakes there. Been to Brisbane, Sydney, and Gold Coast and I see a Canon or Haval (and even the MG ZS) as often as I see a Honda. Meaning, it is well received by Aussies just below Toyota and Ford in the food chain. I think both GWM and MG are two Chinese brands that are up and coming.
So the Jolion is packed with value for the price(you want get near any of the spec in its non Chineese competitors for the price much less the base model) and its great to drive. However there are some things you need to know about this car if youre interested in it and youre function focused. First is the ground clearance, its good for speed bumps yes but its low for a crossover at 170mm and the front end isnt raised so you have to be careful if you plan on mounting a pavement or parking face in at a spot with a low barrier or pavement. The second thing is that the steering wheel doesnt telescope so it might be a challenge to get in the right driving position. The cupholders in the centre console have that weird small cup large cup thing going on so if you have 2 large cups youll have an issue. Third thing is the trunk, its not large as it should be for a car that size(its the largest in its class) and if you get the hybrid its worse as the space is not that high to begin with and you would lose the lower level due to the battery. Finally there is the fuel economy, its not the best but its not the worst either, just know its not a hatchback so dont expect the fuel economy to be the same as a Jazz. If you can live with all of that and you love tech however this is youre best bet. Btw Joo, your production level has really levelled up, congrats.
may i also add that all 4 power windows are 1 click auto up/down. and both driver/passenger get lighted vanity mirrors. features you would only find in really expensive cars Plus rear cross traffic alert HAS BRAKING also. this also comes in HEV variant with 186HP and 375nm of torque average 23km/liter
Lots of tech features for the price! Is it temporarily discounted..to later go back up in price? And ..to make certain I know the price right now..what is it in pesos? PS: hoping they have a dealership in Cebu so that I can see one "up close and personal" soon..Thanks again SoJooCars for another excellent review!
@@SoJooCars I checked to see all their car dealerships..all appear to be way up north..a couple pending dealerships..like in Davao...but nothing for Cebu island...I saw the had one here before in Mandaue City...a suburb of Cebu City..2nd largest city in the country..still..I think.. but it was closed in the past..appears from my research that maybe GWM pulled out of the country in the past and now has reentered last year..they have some very nice products..and great " bang for the buck"! Hope they succeed this time in "both of us" adopted country! LOL

Thank you! Although I never experienced the parking hassle in parking. Walang standard kasi for those little things. The HEV is what I want to test :)
wow ganda ng video quality!
Cool new style and editing Joo
Looks different nice looking.
True! Size is also compact on the outside but huge inside.

where is the windshilelield display
I believe it is for the HEV variant
The front wipers cannot be folded upward, which would be difficult to clean the windshield!!!
Stop engine, hold the wiper stalk for 5s, ur welcome

GWM really needs to change the Haval nameplate on the front into a logo. It really looks off-putting.
Kahit sa BGC may ebike na rin! 🤣
It looks small on you 😅 what's your height?
177 cm po hehe
is this a paid ad? if it is, you should let us know for transparency
It appears at the beginning of the video in UA-cam if it is a paid advert. Good day :)
