Such a solid move by the Dodgers! Good to have him on a long term basis!
This makes me so happy. Good for you Will
Top tier organization that develops players well, creates a winning culture, and gets rewarded with talented players willing to take a pay cut just to stick around
Well deserved Will ! We love you being a Dodger too !! Let’s Go Dodgers !
2:11 👏 where are the applauses??
Oh that makes sense lol, the first questions says it all 😂
Love that he his contact has been extended. Hopefully Dodger for life.
Will Smith is a total stud Dodger!
Yes! Let's go Dodgers!
I was about as stoked to hear this as I was to hear about Ohtani. 10 years. He wants to retire a Dodger. After a long career. That matters. He's the whole package as far as what a professional baseball player should be. He's all in with the Dodger Way. Which is a real thing. If I had a kid with talent? I'd be holding up Will Smith as someone to emulate.
love that andrew mentions cara as well. you can tell they don’t just care about the player, they care about their whole families. i love it 🫡💙 congratulations to will!!! MUCH deserved. our franchise catcher 😊💙💙💙
Andrew Friedman finally gives a long-term extension to someone he drafted and developed 😎
In Friedman we trust!!
This is as soiled of a signing as any. What a good day for dodger nation.
Will the thrill Smith lol
Congrats!!!!
Deserved! Solid hardworking dude
A name soon to be a legend . Gooooooo Dodgers ❤❤❤
Couldn't have happened to a more worthy person have a great career staying in blue will and looking forward to the moments we all share with this team long term. Ohtani locked down, mookie and freddie locked down yamamoto locked down
Great move and love it. Congrats Will.
Great move for both sides.
Will Smith will be a Dodgers legan
Well earned
You may see more of these long term deals with the acquisition of Ohtani, and the desire to win World Series rings (plural).
Great move! Let’s get busy, there’s a WS to win.
THATS WHY THE DODGERS ARE THE BEST MLB ORGANIZATION 💙 PERIOD HANDS DOWN...BRING ON THE HATE HATERS...
Great move
i remember when 140 million was a big thing in baseball....
Freidman and the other guy talk exactly the same way. lol
😂EXACTLY the sa-AAAME😂😂
@@gilcasillas11 This is what happens when people spend too much time with each other. lol
Great move! Will Smith is such a pro. $14 M a yr seems cheap, but don't know if he can play catcher 10 more years.
I wonder if they’ll experiment with Will playing some 3rd base and, less occasionally, 1st base? He can’t be anymore erratic than Muncy at 3rd and he could spell Freeman on a rare day off. I also wonder how this affects the hotshot prospects like Diego Cartaya and Dalton Rushing? Are they backups? Trade bait? Austin Barnes’s days are numbered.
Everytime I hear Andrew Friedman and Brandon Gomes speak it just amazes me how they are the same
Cara? His wife? Is she going to catch on Will's days off?
you gotta remember this is California .... the wife signs the contract with him, gets half immediately
America's catcher, the only Will Smith in Los Angeles that matters, Will Smith.
Impossible to change his race from black to white and age backwards lol
Honestly..this is the move this season that makes me the happiest. Such a humble guy..and you can see how respected he is by everyone, especially the pitchers. He was nervous af because he’s so humble. Or shy. Either way. Love the kid. He better be the one to catch for Kersh when his ass gets back. But I understand how much affinity Kersh has for AB.
Those two guys are enjoying themselves spending someone else's 🤑
will ... you will hof
I guess they trading Catarya? No way he’s in the minors for 10 more years. I still can’t believe Austin Barnes is in the big leagues with a 1.20 BA.
Genuinely gets less and less optimistic about extending Buehler.
It won't be because the Dodgers don't have the money.
@@randallmarsh1187 Guggenheim has 300B $ I think they can afford Anyone Anytime
We got to see how he recovers first after his second TJ.
@@anielloa5275 What's this WE?
He is are johnny bench
Need to move him to 3B, when Rushing or Cartaya are ready, 1-2 years. Tired of Muncy playing there!
Fans seem to forget about Joe Mauer. That contract turned ugly fast.
in baseball paying superstar megabucks is just waste of money history has proven that, look at the Mets last year with 2 $80 million pitchers didnt even make the playoff, Yankees, Angels, Padres etc......
$14 million bucks a year in this day and age is not even close to "superstar megabucks".
Who cares? The Dodgers have more money and make more money than any team It's not your money,it's Guggenheims, they have 300 Billion $ With a B
When did Will Smith age backwards and changed his race from a black man to a white man and came from Hollywood to baseball lol
i just dont understand he is not that good why are we giving him so much!! am i not seeing something??
🤡
What??? Lmao!!!! Ok troll.🤡
He is like a top 3 catcher in the MLB btw
As a giants fan, he’s a solid hitter and good at catching. He hits us good and I think folks like having him around. I was a bit shocked that’s he’s only been an All Star once.
Never fails always get one dumbass comment no matter who or what subject.
