In the USA, specific road laws like overtaking in the right vary state to state. I don't think it's illegal in my state but cruising in the left lane while not passing is illegal
In my country you can`t cruise in the left lane as well but it`s illegal to overtake form the right. That stands for highways but in the city with two or more lanes in one direction you can overtake or drive in whatever lane you like.
So yea. You basically just demonstrate one thing of what I do. I refuse to park on the street LMAO, whenever possible. I even park in an empty lot when visiting my friend that's a quarter of a mile away from his house. I ABSOLUTELY REFUSE TO PARK IN THE STREET. LOL. Sure, you can get hit in a parking lot, but street parked cars are like bumper cars and targets for so many bad drivers.

In Belgium you can't overtake in the right lane ... hanging in the left without reason is also illegal ... but the fine for wrongfully overtaking is higher.
In my country it is legal to overtake people in the right lane (Because we drive on the left side of the road) There have been times were there are people in the right lane aren't even going the speed limit and we just coast past them. It's funny.
I never witnessed a semi doing what the semi did on that ice covered road, but I did see where that semi ended up after sliding on the highway covered with about a half inch of ice. I was riding with another employee on that half inch of ice covered highway when a semi hauling an empty flat bed trailer passed us like the highway was completely clear. The highway goes around a small town with a sweeping righthand curve. That semi must have started through that curve going as fast as it passed us. When we passed that area, that semi was in the bar ditch facing west, proof positive even semis can't speed on ice covered highways.
5:24 the guy was backing into his parking space , I never park that way and I've seen several near hits and a couple stolen parking spots at various store lots.
Yes the Motor Home one was epic 🤣🤣🤣. To that Ford Focus Prick blocking the left lane for no reason, I would have floored it and gone right over the emergency stopping lane. He would have his road rage straight there with me . 🤣👌 no hard feelings. Depends on which side of the road you drive Mate, if you’re in a righthand traffic country you keep right if you’re in a lefthand country you keep left. Despite many of these clips already circulating on the internet for days now, it's still good to have commentary in case we can't figure out what's going on.
In the U.S. people overtake from the right lane all the time. Usually though, they do it how that corvette driver did it. Fast and zig zagging around everyone.
Only because not every state has a slow traffic keep right law, though it's definitely frowned upon in every state. Of course, I'm 100% sure that was California, which does, so this one's kind of 50/50

I've forgotten whether it's technically legal or not to overtake on the right (or for those who drive on the "wrong" side of the road heheh, the opposite side of the driver) But where I live, considering how many people either never learned or forgot or just plain don't care that the left lane(s) reserved for overtaking, I'd say it's certainly reasonable for me to overtake on the right Maybe that's a vicious cycle though lol Which came first, slower drivers hogging the left lane forcing faster drivers to pass on the right, which further incentivises slower drivers to drive on the left? In my Jaguar XK which is a 5 litre V8, when I put my foot down, it goes in a straight line. I do not understand why so many of these cars seem to weave and go all over the place. Do they switch their traction control off?
A lot of the videos the dash cam person should of seen whatever coming. I have always driven defensive, plan for the worst but hope for the best. Even if you have the right of way it’s best to just back off to not take a chance of getting damaged or injured. Yes the other driver was in the wrong but if you can avoid it here in the states then you could be fined 🤷♂️
I agree with you and i noticed in the US some drivers don`t even try to brake or avoid the collision, i find that really strange. Sometimes its not your fault but you still don`t wanna crash.
It is legal to pass on the right or left the same rules apply you just use common sense. The left lane usually is for thru traffic but if some morons doing under flow of traffic bypass them on the right. Never use the breakdown lane, that's just stupid.
If you couldn't pass to the right in places like Atlanta, one moron camped in the left-most lane could singlehandedly tie up 8 lanes of traffic for miles.
At least in my state last I checked, if a driver is turning left and you can, you can pass in the right lane. Regardless of the legality, everyone does this. Even cops. My state is overpopulated and if people didn't do this traffic would jam like madness.
I look at every lane as an escape avenue because of all the dingleberries. Pure survival mode my man.
