Hi black queen greetings from the United States Virgin islands in the carribbean st.thomas Us territory I am new to your channel and I am impressed by the way you drive and take care of your truck I am a journeyman heavy equipment mechanic I am going to get my CDL soon whenever things cool down on the us mainland you inspire me to push forward to do this my dad was a diesel mechanic he taught me most of what I know so far about heavy equipment repairs and heavy trucks he passed away last year so this video reminds me of him keep up the good works GOD bless you and your family and be blessed and be safe in Jesus mighty name
It was such a shock to go in to work and see this parked in the back lot....I became overwhelmed and couldn't contain myself. After a few tears and a praise dance, I started recording. They are great people to work for and they really lookout for the employees a great deal.....I am really so appreciative of everything that they are doing!
The Little Things, When you work for great people, it makes you want to give your all. And, being a person of honesty and integrity, you will do your best regardless That's why they gave you the truck.
Very nice to see a video not just about the truck but the work place and a great atmosphere. I did this work for 5 years in Vanc Canada. Always enjoyed the work and the people I worked with. Makes all the difference in the world. You do an excellent job with a great attitude as it shows in your videos and obviously it is noticed. Keep up the good spirit
@@kalatupou5550 I have been driving for 25 years on roll off alone....I used to operate a crane on rails and I have driven a tractor trailer as well.... I rarely go on facebook to post anything and instagram for me is a ghost town...lol
Am so in to watching videos like this I need to get my CDL so I can get out there I have the experience. With Big trucks just I need to put some fire up under my feet to get them ty
Do you have any tips to help me open some of those 40 yard doors? Dang they can be heavy. Was thinking I’d get some wd-40 and spray the hinges when I pick up a box and by the time I get to the landfill it should be easier to open and close. Your thoughts?
Yes...that is what I do...spray the hinges while it's still on the ground and once you reach the landfill when opening to dump or after...just swing the door back and forth to work the grease down into the hinge...or you can carry a grease gun with you filled with the reddish lube grease that the shop uses to grease your truck...either way...they both work!...Good luck!
Hi Susan.....welcome, welcome, welcome, please stay a while....I'm so glad you are here. And thank you for wishing me safety on the road. Thanks for watching!
Heyyyyy, algblessed1.....I have been wondering about you...You were the very first person to comment on any of my 2016 videos ever!....How are you?....hope all is well! I can honestly say that you were there first!....Thank you....
The Little Things I am well my sister. Im busy these days...I went back to school and I am in the process of buying a house. But thank you for caring. I watched your 1st video, which was around Christmas and i said this lady is pretty much where I am in life. You was showing your house and doing a tablescape for you and your son. Sounds like me. You don't have many videos up but the videos you do have are quality. I've wacthed them at least 2x.
I just found your channel I’m trying to get a job as a swing driver and roll off is one of the jobs I might be doing so thank you for showing me how it goes!!!😝
No problem....swing driver has to actually learn pretty much all of the routes because you never know where you are going from one day to the next...the best advice that I can give is to pay attention to your surroundings....look at the whole area where you will be working around the dumpster
I have my CDL and I to have a B I just went on a interview for roll off and I went on a ride along but when I sat in that truck girl I was like wow this is very different and I have applied for a swing driver which what I’m told pays more and I to am a black women so yo video was very inspiring I would like to talk to you more because I have some questions may I give you my email?
Yoyo I studied the CDL book from the DMV for about 3.5 months....I went to the DMV to take the test....it started with the general knowledge and written brakes...but before all of that i had to pass the DOT physical...to get a DOT card in order to operate a CDL vehicle...I initially received a class A then eventually dropped down to a B...just preference...then after all that...I did the road test with my brothers tractor trailer...i did not go to a school...it was too expensive...in ny next video I will share how to do an air brakes test...which is a part of the inspection before the road test. I have been driving for more than 24 years...
But general reply...my brother drove roll off for a long time and told me that I should ride with him one day...I road with him and the rest was history...I liked sitting high and looking down...It gave me a rush that was unexplainable and the money is awesome...plus Im home everyday...its fun and I enjoy it
Hello Tommy.... all I did was apply 26 years ago with no experience! All I had was my CDL and I was eager to learn because I needed a job and I had a baby back then! Majority of the roll off companies will train you! Thats it!
Hey ,my name is James and I found your video 🙏💪 so inspiring, didn't go to school either.just got lic 3 months ago, been hard to get get job , with no experience, but got interview tomorrow, for a container driver, any advise, ideas🤞.
Congrats James...all I can say is be honest...pay attention...stay focused...take notes because you are gonna need them when they put you out there on your own...learn your surroundings meaning overhead of truck...in front...on rear and around truck...if you get the job and are unsure of things...pray about it first!!! I have a few more videos on my channel concerning the truck...wish I could do more...but dont want to wear out my welcome with recording at work you know!!!
Hi Michelle I have applied to alot of rolloff companies and they told me to get the license, now that I have the license they now want experience and they don't train. But how are you to get experience without training or having a shot? U see i be training myself by looking at alot of rolloff videos and asking drivers to show me how to do it. I was told u can learn in ten minutes
12 years of semi rolloff. I would say picking up or dropping off a correctly loaded box on level asphalt would take ten minutes of training. It's all the other situations that take experience. I'd ask around and see if you can ride with an experienced driver. Around here, all the Union waste haulers the rolloff is the top dog. No one starts there. You pick up garbage on a residential route and work your way up.
Such a blessing to work for such amazing owners. They’re like family to you!
Gorgeous truck!
