I have been following your videos and find them an excellent resource ! I do want to comment on recomending Mckenzie taxidermy as I placed a small order to get started on my bobcat project and they totally ripped me off. They charged a separate charge for shipping that was more than what I purchased and when I recieved order it was splilled all over box. I contacted them several times and they are absoloutly horrible. Upon checking other reviews it seems I am not alone. Just a newbie at this but very dissapoionted . Not at all a reflection on you just a beware on talking abou them. Thank you Deb J
I’m sorry you had that experience. I have used McKenzie since I began taxidermy 25 years ago. I have a framed newsprint of 14 year old me on my wall that McKenzie had framed and signed by all the employees. Through the years they have pulled large 10k orders together for me within a weeks time even during Covid, and if there was a couple items they couldn’t have ready for pickup, they shipped it to me at no charge. If there have been damaged or missing items (and it happens) they would send a replacement no questions asked. Now granted I am close enough to pick my orders up sans shipping, but that is my good fortune and not McKenzie’s doing. Occasionally I have an emergency and do not have time to go pickup and when I order a couple small items, I do expect to pay more shipping than I do the item itself. I can’t speak for everyone’s else’s experience, as can you. I have heard negative things and many have had positive experiences however you don’t hear the positive as much because that’s how this world operates. When someone has a good experience they keep quiet, and when they have a bad one they yell loudly. Taxidermy clients tend to be the same. I find it so hard to imagine the sweet ladies being so terrible on the phone. I do know that more flies are caught with honey.
I learned how to do Text Derby from old Dan Chase VHS videos as a kid and I've always been scared to alter forms thank you for this lesson it helps build my confidence .
Awesome work! Suggestion if I may and maybe you already have and use one, but I was thinking an electric fillet knife might be a little easier and allow you to be a little more precise initially to cut down on your shaving time? I’ve used them to cut foam similar to that before on some seat cushion molds and it works awesome! Keep up the good work!
Kool.... Chop and channel . That's what a real taxidermist can do ! Fifty years ago you had to be a master at chop and channel . Still good to know it's still alive and great taxidermist like Amy are using those creative skills ,...., it's all good....👍🏜️

Very close if you ask me.
Love the colour of that one. With those eyes looking into your sole.
I never even noticed the caged dogs down there
Yes, my dogs are always near me. Some people worry that they are trapped in a cage but it’s just a barrier. They go in and outside through a dog door
@@amysanimalart I figured they werent really caged, great video by the way. It really showed me a lot.
How do you get a McKenzie supply catalog. I cant figure it out.
I’m sure they would be glad to send you one 1-800-279-7985
@@amysanimalart is it free
Awesome
