I took my Indian friends from uk to Lahore and yes they were nervous but when family , friends and total strangers found out they were Hindu/ Sikhs they welcomed them and got lot of invitation to tea and dinner..... They had a fantastic time Next year I go to India with them and I'm sure I will get the same treatment . India and Pakistan have an enormous amount to gain thru friendship But have everything to lose by being suspicious towards each other , and it's the general population that suffers at the hands of what the ruling class decides!
