It’s crazy to think that I’ve watched Carmen since the OTGW days and now there’s a bun baking in the oven! I’m so happy for you both, congratulations! 🥳🥳🥳
Congratulations Carmen! For my first pregnancy I had an aversion to chicken but no aversions during my second pregnancy. The banana thing is contradictory because in Chinese culture we should avoid it pregnancy but in Western it is recommended for potassium. I’m Chinese and I ate less bananas but didn’t cut it out completely.
Wow I’ve been trying to find a video like this and stumbled across your channel. Watched OTGW a long time ago and it really helped put things into perspective. Thanks for making this!
Congrats on your pregnancy, ma'am. I really enjoy watching both of your channels. You do a wonderful job of explaining everything Asian. Again, congrats on having a baby.
I saw this in my feed hours ago, then had to do something else and forgot to watch at the time. Then a couple of minutes ago, I saw your Twitter post. Now I know it's a congratulations situation! ;)
Are pickles okay? I am diabetic as well so i cant have alot of foods with any sugars. The only thing keeping me from puking is pickles with cream cheese on toasted keto bread i feel like i cant eat anything else. I really want fruits like coconut and kiwi but kiwi seems to be all i can stomach. Would love to have a resource to help keep this baby healthy as i have suffered multiple miscarriages before finding out i was diabetic and had pcos.
Congrats on the pregnancy! I had fibroids in my last pregnancy and I couldn't eat foods that are considered "fa", which is a category that is neither yeet hay nor cooling
Congratulations!! This is fabulous news. We got so confused with the Chinese don’t eat foods when my wife was pregnant with both my kids. We had it lucky though, my wife didn’t suffer much morning sickness or food adversion. Egg was probably one thing she couldn’t stand the smell of during the first pregnancy, but she was ok with the second, which is ironic give my second has egg allergies but my first loves eggs.

Congrats Kevin and Carmen!
CONGRATULATIONS! I had my baby 2021 lol all the Chinese food restrictions were pretty insane and my only advice is also be careful right after birth.
Congratulations! I was worried that OTGW would be going on another unexplained multi year hiatus.
I wish you the best to your new family Carmen. Greetings from Ecuador Land
Excellent video, any book recommendations on the same topic?
Congrats! Was worried something was up! My wife and I love your recipes!
Something was up 😬 thank you!
Wow Congrats from Flushing, Queens! 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Thank you Rich :)
Does this mean you should NOT do hot feet soak or caster oil in the first trimester too?
Hot or cold, avoid cold food, warm foods.

Ginseng is also something to avoid
I have tons of aversions too. I love to cook and cannot enjoy it while pregnant.
Congratulations!! For me (Malaysian Chinese) was duck AND lamb ... bcos its "poisonous" ... may cause eczema and febrile seizures ...
Yes mangoes too!

I lived on mandarins during my pregnancy. Hmm….

Thank you! I don’t know what fibroids are, gotta look it up. Can u give me some examples of “fa” foods?
