one of my favourite souvenirs are from my trip to Iceland. I have a pure white Icelandic wool blanket and a Volcanic rock necklace wrapped in a silver map of Iceland. I don't usually use ether of them but I treasure them so much
My boyfriend and I's first country together was Iceland. While we were there, I collected some lava rocks and for his birthday I handmade each one of us a necklace with them. We both wear them almost everyday!
I would like to see the clothes and jewelry collection. I love hearing stories behind things people buy. My favorite thing I bought for myself when I traveled out of the U.S. was a blue painting of giraffes with a silhouette of Africa in the background. I got it at a little market while I was volunteering in St. Lucia, South Africa.
I love the money collection! We were just in Singapore and I'm kind of sad that we did not buy a physical souvenir. But we worried that we wouldn't figure out a way to incorporate it into our decor. You've inspired me though so I think we're just going to have to go back to Singapore again so I can buy a souvenir (also because it's amazing)!--Tasha
You can rewire those Turkish lamps easily and inexpensively. Take them to a lighting showroom, antique shop or an electrical contractor and ask them who does that sort of work where live. If you’re handy that way, you might even go to a DIY like Home Depot or to an electrical supply house and ask them to sell you the parts. Tell them you want them to set them up as LED lights.
My favorite souvenir is a ukulele that I've decoupaged with stickers, tickets stubs and various things from all the places I went to while I was an au pair in France. It's super fun to look back on all the different little pieces but they don't just sit in a book so it feels more practical 😊
definitely interested in seeing your other clothing and jewelry souvenir collections! Awesome video and a great array of different types of souvenirs and collections. I personally always get myself a magnet literally everywhere I go because its small, compact, and not expensive.
LOVED this!! Lately I've been bringing back tattoos. Not a lot of room in my suitcase ;) so far I have ones from India, Germany, and Ireland. Less exciting- but I also always bring back magnets. Super small and inexpensive, and it's cool to see all of the countries I've been to represented on my fridge.
This video is GOALS! I love collecting little memorabilia of my travels. You are the main traveler I follow and you have inspired me to start a channel and record my trips! Thank you! 🌎✈️ I look forward to your videos every time!
I totally have the green Pilsner coasters from Prague too! The ones I nabbed have the entire timeline of the company across 4 coasters, so obviously I had to get 1 of each 😉
When I travel, I always love to get key chain from the place I went to. I have a wall in my room that I hang all my keychains on. One of my favorite souvenirs that I have gotten was from the national quilt museum in Kentucky that I visited with some of my family. It is of this really cool chines quilt. It was my favorite quilt in the whole museum.
I'd love to see a clothing/jewelry collection! That'd be awesome! My favorite souvenir I've gotten has to be my lotus tattoo I got while in Cambodia! I got it the traditional bamboo style way and I love telling the story behind it to people when they ask me about it(:
I loved looking at all your different souvenirs! Whenever I travel, I would always get the standard shot glass, coffee mugs, and magnets type souvenirs but I’m definitely goanna buy more novelty and unique pieces that I could also use as home/room decor!
Great collection! My best souvenir was a walking stick from Germany with small metal plaques that I attached from each area I visited. Heading back to Germany soon and looking at bringing back a cuckoo clock!
My favorite souvenir from around the world is shot glasses "No I don't use them I don't drink" I just love how cute they are.I would love to get one from ever starts in America.Or More. Thanks for sharing! Love your videos!
I like to collect certain types of antiques, and one of my souvenirs was a genuine 1930's telephone that I purchased from an antique store during travel, and that was a pain in the butt as I had to carry by hand on the plane back to Canada.
Loved this video and would love to see one on your jewellry and clothing souvenirs! I'm always looking for ideas of less common souvenir ideas. Currently I'm doing christmas decorations, charms for my bracelet and those fabric patches (which I'm thinking i might sew onto a large blanket scarf that i can hang up pr use on planes ;) )
Cool idea for a video! I always give friends a similar tour when they visit my place. Love my colourful lanterns from Hoi An, Vietnam and Hakata geisha doll from Japan.
fave is a recycled scrap metal piece that forms into a tugboat. i got that in victoria canada and i pair it with two stone carvings of an otter and walrus. got those in juneau or ketchikan alaska.
My favorite souvenirs are my mini/decorative tajine pot from Morocco and my ushanka hat from Ukraine. The tajine was a little scary to pack since it's made of clay but I wrapped it in socks and clothes so it was safe during the flight. The ushanka is super warm and easy to pack.
We are a huge souvenir collectors. We ensure to buy something from everywhere we visit. My favourite souvenir so far is the tiny monks I purchased in Bhutan. They are just so cute.
I buy a post card from every city I visit. Well I started to about three years ago, I'm up to about 60 or so and I use to have it mounted on my wall as a collage but i think I'll move them all to photo album! They are cheap and light...that's what makes them perfect!
My favourite souvenir has to be a yard of fabric I bought in a little store in France to turn into pillows! I also have wanted to start collecting stamps from all the different countries I'm going to. So I actually started sending myself postcards with details of what I had done in that country so I'll have a nice little reminder of where I've been! Once I have enough I'll probably put them in an album of some sort! :)
The musts are always magnets and shot glasses. But I love buying typical things from the country I’m visiting, i.e. Ecuador’s representative bird feather with a painting on it, or a traditional mate from Argentina, etc. I liked this video! Do the t-shirts one.
My boyfriend and I are planning to travel soon.We are planning on buying bumper stickers or post cards. Then when we get back buy a canvas to make a collage. It’s a cheap souvenir and very small. So it won’t take to much space in the luggage on the way back. But I’m sure we will get bigger items when we get there.
For me , I Always buy toys from around the world for my daughter and we will keep it at a nice cabinet.. so we can look back at the toys we bought when we travel.
Loved this video! I will love to see your clothing & jewelry collection as well I done too much shopping on my travels it’s a problem I working on :) It so hard to choose 1 favorite souvenir but if i have to it probably be my witches marionettes from Prague...
Very nice place. There is nothing like things you actually obtained in places you have been. I have only a few but they all have meaning and a story. Most of them are from Italy, one or two actually technically smuggled, but we won't go into that. And, yes you can rewire the lamps if you replace the socket. Great video!
Loved the video! I have a money collection from the Central American countries I visited last year. But I think my favourite souvenir has to be my dream catcher from Bacalar in Mexico ❤
I would love to see the jewelry and clothing as well! I have a serious problem buying handicrafts wherever I travel. Therefore I am seriously lusting after those gorgeous wood carvings from Bali that you showed! My favorite souvenir is generally whatever the last handicraft item I bought was 😂 I'm living in Ecuador and can't stop buying Waorani basketry!
What collections would you recommend starting? I love the money bill collection!! I have my very first overseas trip planned to New Zealand in January!
I love this video and I can't wait to see your video on clothing and jewelry. My favorites from your collection are the airplane, hammock and tea light. From my collection is a boomerang from AU, a magnet from Amsterdam, a magnet from the Islamic Art Museum in Malaysia.
I love to bring home food and alcoholic drinks form my travels :) I don't like to pile up objects but I definitely enjoy to take food with me from travels to have when I'm back home and have the holiday blues :)
Awesome collection Nadine! I love the wooden carvings. How do you transport fragile items without anything breaking? I’d be scared to buy any breakables
I'd be interested to see the clothing and jewelry. I like collecting things that have a practical use like purses, hot pads, coasters, etc. because I don't like my home to feel cluttered. I do, however, collect Starbucks mugs which is kind of silly and takes a lot of room. But I use them! Someday, I plan to have a peg board wall where I can hang all of them to display. Keep on traveling! :)
I love your Turkish lamp (even though you can't really use it haha). I can't wait to travel more and collect things for my place. I'd be interested in seeing your clothes and jewelry collection too!
I buy handkerchiefs made by the women in the region. Easy to pack and great gifts. As to the White House: next time, save one of the embossed paper hand towels in the bathrooms. Enjoying your travels! Added: scarfs are another good local craft. And useful!
Nadine, there are two possibilities with those lamps. You might be able to get 120V bulbs which have the same fitting. If not, it may be possible to change the bulb holders for ones which take your Canadian bulbs. I'm amazed you still have the archaic 120V mains supply. Most of the world has 230V/240V AC supply which is regarded as safer, and also needs less expensive wiring.
Hey Nadine you can definitely rewire those lights just remove all the electrical that's currently in those lights and just replace it with North American light sockets and a North American cable with built-in cable switch it's extremely easy
That is some cool stuff, I’m getting there, my daughter and I are traveling buddies, can I ask what is the most amazing place you’ve been in your travels?
I'm normally a fridge magnet or keyring kinda guy because cost & space, but my favourite & most expensive was a sword from the samurai museum in Tokyo. Had to have it shipped separately.
This was so interesting! I collect shot glasses everywhere I go. I have a horrible habit of hoarding things so unless a trip had been especially special to me I don't collect anything else!
Anamaria Trsinski I have a few in different sizes and colors that look very similar and I got mine at Home Sense (TJ Max or Homegoods if you’re in the US)
Hey there, love your videos btw. I haven't been to many places but the only place where I've been outside of canada was Florida. The only things I bought was a wand from Harry potter and a few other things for my brother and sister and a few other things from a mall my friend took me to. I wanted to buy more but my friend and I had alot of other stuff planned so universal studios was only one day.
Loved your collection! We say hi from Budapest! ;)

Yes, I’d like to see a video of your jewelry and clothing souvenirs. That would be interesting. I have Parisian scarfs and Eiffel Tower tote bag I bought in Paris, a vinegar bottle and glass from Germany, underwear from Amsterdam, and tins from chocolates I bought in Belgium. I also have money from various countries.

When I went to Europe, I got a patch from each country/ region I went to. I love them bc I sewed them onto the travel back I carried. 😁
Brienna Agapov love that idea!!!
Morena Linda thank you!!
I love seeing other people’s souvenir collections!! It’s so interesting to see which part of the trip a person wishes to bring back with them
I love the money collection! We were just in Singapore and I'm kind of sad that we did not buy a physical souvenir. But we worried that we wouldn't figure out a way to incorporate it into our decor. I'm up for "useful souvenirs" so since I drink a lot of tea I buy a mug everywhere I go :)
Yes! A jewelery video!!! This is so inspiring!
