best. song. ever. i think that my complete obsession with this song, (when i would listen to nothing but this song) lasted a few weeks, but this is really amazing, and it gives me shivers everytime, and has made a lasting impression. LOVE IT (:
My favourite song, it sounds sad and happy at the same time. Its just so beautiful and so strange and different. Only Bat for Lashes can make you feel so many different and contrasting emotions at the same time.
Good point. Shame not everyone else in the crowd knew the song as well, judging from how many started clapping prematurely @ 3:54. Reckon Natasha deliberately starts the coda/outro section much earlier here than on the album version as a reaction to this. Saw the same thing happen at her Oxford performance of this song last Oct. Ditto live performances of 'I Saw A Light' during the long pause in that song. I suppose at least it's applause though!
