  • Check out my new table saw! 35 INCH RIP! That's the largest capacity of any portable/jobsite table saw. BUT Does it have the quality to match? So far I'm impressed.

This is part 1 of a 3 part series that aims to the Ultimate Review of the Hitachi C10RJ Jobsite Table Saw with the Fold and Roll Stand. This is the unboxing and assembly video. The next video will be the full review. I'm putting it through the paces for a couple of weeks. The third will be a comparision between my old jobsite saw, which I was very happy with, and this saw.
This saw has a rack and pinion rip fence that is very accurate with up to 35 inch rip. It also has an integrated outfeed support table for large cuts. The stand is made perfectly for the saw and provides excellent maneuverability.

Just picked one up today. Glad you're doing these videos. I want to learn how to adjust everything and I'd rather watch someone who knows what they're talking about do it first.

My fence is parallel to the blade but it's not square to the surface of the saw. the top of the fence is tilted towards the blade. I don't see how to adjust this in the manual. Do you know how to adjust the fence?

I meant my fence is not square to the table. not the blade.

Hi will you please make a video on how to remove riving knife and install dado stack on my Metabo C10RJ (S) table saw? I can’t find anything that really helps me understand how to do this. Thanks 🙏

If you have the legs in the stowed position and tip up the saw on the ends of the track, more than likely you will mess up how the fence tracks. You will then have to go under the saw, loosen the screws holding up one of those gears, align the ends of both rails to the edge of the table, and screw back in those screws holding up the gear. I have seen a lof of videos of people folding up/down the legs. Only do 2 at one time. I do the two on the end opposite the wheels, lower the saw onto those leg, go around and lift up the end with the wheels, and then fold those down. To stow, reverse procedure.

Nice job on this. I think you might have pushed fence lock cam backwards …. When you broke it. I just adjusted the fence lock mechanism tension. You could add a video on how to do that…. Not hard… just hard to video the steps ( obstructed views) i had to grind a 1/2 in box wrench to thin it out in order to hold adjusting nut while loosening lock nut)

Question : did you noticed the bevelled mitre slots? Sooo annoying as the mitre bars will never fit without any play :(

I bought one about 2 years ago and used it once to put my flooring in. Had been stored in my garage since that job. I pulled the saw out this past weekend hoping to cut some 2x4. When I go to turn it on the saw cycles for like 2 seconds and stops. The motor appears to stay on until I manually shut it off. I saw the reset button and tried that but it didn't help.

Great review. I bought this saw but I wanted to build a cross cut sled for it, my question is how do you take the riving knife out, thanks Fabian

The miter gauge storage is right behind the cord storage

    Hello,
Why do the miter gauge slots have their top edges beveled?
It seems it is not possible to remove miter guage play using nylon expansion discs due to the beveled edge.
Is there any good quality miter guage that can work effectively with the beveled slots?

My hitachi's circuit breaker burned very badly inside ... i am afraid the motor has shorted ? It is only 4 year old and not used much ... what causes this ? Should i just change the breaker ? The motor windings look good because i opened it .. Any idea what might have burned the circuit breaker so badly ...

Just bought this saw...so far so good..!! Looking for a zero clearance insert- not able to find one, did you have to make one for yours?

I haven't bought this yet .. but hope to pull the trigger before Christmas. I would need to raise its profile to 38 inches; the reason being I have several work tables on wheels at that height. Do you think there is a way to add/modify where the saw attaches to the stand - using wood or metal - to increase its height off the floor from 36 to 38 inches? Looks like it's bolted to the stand. Advice?

Thank you for the very useful review. I have a question though. Do you know the noise level in decibels? I heard that this model is the most "quiet" compared to other direct drive table saws on the market. I like little Dewalt 475, but its 107dB pitching noise makes it impossible to use in the residential building's basement, without bothering the neighbors. Thanks.

If you would have read the directions you would have put the saw on a blanket upside down and attach the stand to the saw first, then put the rest of it together. The directions are clear on this not sure why you said they are lacking?

So you’re mad because I didn’t use my blanky to assemble the saw. 🤣. Are you 3? My three year old cares a lot about her blanky too

Lowes begrudgingly gave me 10% off $329 because they wouldn't match the Acme (online) price of $299 in Apex, NC. I spoke to 2 people in customer service and the cashier just appeared miserable but agreed to the 10%. It worked in my favor for a couple extra bucks.

@@mikespine1 cool. But I already got a table saw for half that cost. It was a dewalt Flexvolt, has less rip capacity but I'm not cutting full 4x8 sheets of plywood. So I guess it's okay idk.
