Yeah.... Nah.....Yeah..... This was a rather "controversial" release at the time. Kanami had writers block so the other girls had a helping hand in writing it. They wanted to "harp" back to their roots, their original recordings before Thrill, so when this song was released it got A LOT of negative feedback and poor Kanami really took it to heart. Yep. This is not the norm for them. It does show the talent that the band has. They are not one dimensional like many bands are. I don't really care for it as much as other songs but I can't hate it because they played it.
With greatest respct , but why do people compare the girls with Paramour. The stuff Paramour have , not even in the same ball park as Band Maid as far as quality of songs or playing level....not even close . have I not heard the best of Paramour. I suspect the record company asked for something to break into the K Pop market... but really why bother , they are too good to have to bother with that plastic shit. 2Ne1 ecluded thought to bad they broke up. The fact that this Band Maid song had purposely not have a guitar solo , is a sure sign it was a victim of record company meddling.
It was decided so by the band. [start over] was the first attempt by Kanami to step back from her position as the main composer, and make the band as a whole do it. She booked a room in the label's office, and organized a formal consultation with all the band members. And that's what they came with in the end.

Lyrics: Miku Kobato
Song: BAND-MAID
Translation: Kafka
Mistakes won’t be tolerated
Now moving on impulse
Concealing my breath, I can’t take it anymore
Soon I’m going to explode
There’s no way
There’s no way
Don’t sweat it
There’s no way
No help is coming
Everyone want! Everyone want!
What do you want me to do?
Go flank
I’m going reverse
Efficiency doesn’t matter
Call me crazy
Look, the curtains are rising (Move on fast!)
Break a leg
Everything must be shut out
My heart is free, I’m right here
The way it, I
I’m not hiding anything
Yes, this is me
Not letting myself be controlled
The meaning of living in despair
No time to sigh on it right now
There’s no way
There’s no way
Feels lacking
There’s no way
All I can do is just accept it
Everyone want! Everyone want!
What do you want me to do?
Go flank
It’s still a YES
The past can also be turned into the future
Call me crazy
Break a leg (Move on fast!)
Everything must be shut out
My heart is free, I’m right here
The way it, I
I’m not hiding anything
Yes, this is me
Not letting myself be controlled
There is no place for me
It’s not even something to cry on
They say “run away”
But the pain won’t vanish
No matter what they say
I’m not ashamed anymore
Break everything
Screaming now!
Screaming now!
Screaming now!
All I can do is be me
Good and evil
A or B?
Then sharpen intuition
I won’t give up
Never ever
Declare my existence
Things must be seen coherently
Laugh at the guys who glance at the side
Everything must be shut out
My heart is free, I’m right here
The way it, I
I’m not hiding anything
Yes, this is me
Not in someone’s control
Everything can’t be shut out anymore
Living the present, I’m right here
Fate can be changed
Someone’s waiting for me
I believe this is the beginning of my new self
The good thing about this song it had the track *Screaming* on it and if you get the type A or B CD it comes with the Zepp Tokyo DVD 😊
I would pay for a track of them breathing if I got the Zepp Tokyo concert with it.
Who am I kidding, I would pay for a track of them breathing period. The inhales and exhales would probably be interestingly syncopated and layered, with unexpected and sonorous tonal qualities, while communicating a gritty yet uplifting feeling.
@@stevehall5128 They are actually good at it. Whenever BAND-MAID is in the same room, they always sound like composing an improvised song right on the spot.
Some people say that this song is not hard rock. I don't give a f※ck!!
this was their first single to break the top 20 in japan(got up to #16 on the top100). recommend "Screaming" if you havent heard it yet, it was the coupling song
a new single will drop on 12/2 and they will be doing an Online Live 12/13(no audience)

can't wait
What album was it on? "I don't give a fuck." It's Band Maid.
There was a rumor this was intended for the karaoke market. The B side of this single is "Screaming" one of their mostly aptly named songs, fast and frenetic.
LOL...somehow, I don't see people singing "IDGAF" in a karaoke box. LOL
@@ShikataGaNai100 Yeah, I didn't think it was plausible but who knows...
This song caused controversy among fans.😅
Yep. This is not the norm for them. It does show the talent that the band has. They are not one dimensional like many bands are. I don't really care for it as much as other songs but I can't hate it because they played it.
Still a good song for sure
Don't forget the the new song December 2nd.
Thanks for the reminder
これは腰がシンプルですと歌っているね
