I’ve been caught up in Bachelor’s Thesis Hell for the last two months and watched a lot of short films in that time, but thankfully managed to watch at least a few full-length films in between. Thanks to enough stress, I didn’t delve into horror at all 😅.
Top 5 First Time Viewings October 2022 (of which only the first three I thought of as really great):
1. Toy Story 4 (2019)
2. Igor Levit - No Fear (2022)
3. The Tale of Zatoichi (1962)
4. Raya and the Last Dragon (2021)
5. Tag (2018)
Now I am only missing Encanto of all the main Disney Animated Studio Films, soon going to finish that little project. Of the short films I watched, I liked Puparia (2020) and Coming Out (2020) the most.
And since there haven’t been videos for August and September, here are my Top 5s for those months also:
Top 5 First Time Viewings in September 2022:
1. The Queen’s Gambit (2020)
2. Collateral (2004)
3. Nope (2022)
4. Bottle Rocket (1996)
5. Jules and Jim (1962)
Top 5 First Time Viewings in August 2022:
1. The good Boss (2021)
2. Tangled (2010)
3. Easy Rider (1969)
4. Wreck-it Ralph (2012)
5. The Class (2008)
I want to watch terrifier, but I don’t know if I’ll be able to stomach it
Haha, it’s worth a try!
@@cineflect is the gore that bad?
@@salchichon4198 personally i dont like gore but i really enjoyed both movies! the kills are over the top and if you take it with a grain of dark humor they are almost comical, worth a watch just turn it on one day and if its too much turn it off its free online and very easy to find
Good to see you watched a variety of horror movies! Now I really want to watch Creep 2
Gotta mix it up! Excited for you to see that one.
Thanks for such an excellent video!
Thanks for watching, Ben!
When I was in I believe freshman year I out of boredom decided to do something similar and watch and B grade horror I could find on prime or Netflix, terrified had just released on Netflix and it was one of them. While it was okay to me, of course the effects being what carried it, I have a great respect for the new wave of horror it’s seemed to rush in. There’s a lot more camp and artistic expression being brought back out as it showed just excelling and having fun in one creative aspect can make something special.
I watch Trick or Treat every Halloween! One of the best Halloween flicks ever!
My halloween viewing: Coraline (another great Selick in anticipation of Wendell&Wild), Ghoul (Indian netflix), Go Goa Gone (Indian horror comedy), The Quiet Family (Korean black comedy horror)
The Quiet Family is great. Have you seen Takashi Miike’s “remake” Happiness of the Katakuris? It’s bonkers!
Looking forward to sitting down with Wendell & Wild soon. Hadn’t heard of Go Goa Gone, but I’ve added it to my Indian Cinema Watchlist :) boxd.it/gUySy
I gotta say, I really agree with a lot of this. Though I still find I can't kneel before Babadook because I just need a movie to be more chill than that kid is.
But I always appreciate anyone who gets the controlled chaos of stuff like Terrifier and the noble efforts in the VHS segments and judges them by their own merits. You're really picking up what these movies are putting down. Just like Creep or maybe even another mumblecore sci fi like The Endless; some movies have a barrier for entry.
I would have also recommended the Cabinet of Curiosities show as individual entries for this, there was some pretty good stuff in that for what was a surprisingly strong Halloween season of movie entries.
The 1970's ABC Movie of the Week classic thriller "Home for the Holidays" starring Eleanor Parker and Sally Field.
Last Jedi was Dog sick and everyone knows it!
Watch The Legend of Maula Jatt
Barbarian was an easy 4.5 imo. And smile was a hot garbage 1.5.
4.5 na bro 😂
