  • Here is how to replace the cabin air filter on a Chevrolet truck. The cabin air filter on this Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck is located on the passenger side of the truck below the glove box. To change the cabin air filter, remove the cover and then remove the bolt that holds the cabin air filter retaining strap in. There are two air filters in the airbox. Pull one down, and then pull the other one out sideways and down. Installation is the reverse of removal.

Thanks for the demo! Now, if I can just convince my son to let me change them in his truck, since I'm already gonna be replacing his blower motor and resistor! Also, super huge thanks for the parts number!

Did you have to cut the plastic for the filter to come out mine looks like yours but it’s solid plastic I need to cut it out but can’t find a retro kit for it

Lot simpler than trying to change the cabin filters 8n my 2001 Seville STS
Have to contend with the seat, accelerator pedal, and have long arms, or be very thin
Is located by the accelerator pedal, not one but three.
    I have left then out.

      I don’t remember. It’s my dad’s truck, and it’s 1600 miles away now, so I can’t check

Actually those are called “screws”, bolts are things with nuts and washers on them.

You’re correct. The older ones don’t have filters. This one is from 2001.
