I just switched over to elden ring, which is fun for me, and i occasionally play mk for fun. Unfortuantely, Mk is rubbish because armor breaks are unbalanced (some dont even work propertly, some are krushing blows while others arent), fatal blows steal hard earned wins, breakaways are oftem more dangerous than eating a full combo(why the fuck do i get punished for using meter? WAT?), lots of characters had issues that made them a joke in higher level (im a salty skarlet player) while jade, jackie, Lui and others exist (why do they get to have all the tools to be safe while my options are severely limited). I feel like these are things mentioned by lots of people and are valid. If you dont get it, you haven't played enough. I consistently reach demi when I want to, but there is nothing that makes this game worth it.
Here's a long post for those who want some context: This is my take as a casual who plays Geras a lot, has always rooted for Tweedy in online tournaments, and was not even a Sikander fan pretty much at all: I lost a lot of respect for Tweedy ever since he started trying to milk Sik's name for clicks and views. I think he really appreciates KingGambler as one of his best friends and teammates, but the way he started attacking Sikander was just childish. Sikander clearly has an alter-ego in front of the camera, that's a main ingredient for many great content creators. He may not be the strongest player in the world, but his gameplay is very solid, and on his day he can defeat anyone. And that has helped him create a fanbase, some of whom call him the best SubZero in the world. (Personal opinion for those who care: A F0xy Grampa is technically the best Sub in the world, while Disarted & Takkinada are the best out and out SubZero mains in the world). Then, after defeating Sikander in a video Tweedy was saying that not him (Tweedy), but KingGambler was clearly better than Sik. That was weird, overly defensive and honestly,... rather stupid. Even if Sikander's fans were saying he is the best SubZero, that had nothing to do with Tweedy at all. Then he started advocating for a match between Sik and Gambler. When the match happened there was initially a disagreement whether it will be FT7 or FT10, but ended up being FT10. Match started evenly, then Gambler started to pull away, then Sik changed variation and made it a true mirror (Deep Freeze + Creeping Ice), and started to close the gap, but ended up losing 10-8. Tweedy on this video says that it ends all debates, blah blah, but Sikander says that he was winning the true mirror with SubZeros best variation (for mirror at least). Then Gambler accepted to play another "true mirror" match, but this one was taken by Sikander 7-4, bringing the overall score to 15-14 in Sik's favor. And this really pinched a nerve on Tweedy. He never acknowledged that Sik actually defeated Gambler. Instead he immediately uploded a FT10 of him and Gambler called something like "I played the guy who defeated Sikander", where you could see that he was intending to lose at the end. A few days later there was a tournament in Wazminator's channel. I was followong it live, and Tweedy comfortably defeated Gambler 3-0 in Winners Semis, but then lost to TheMightyUnjust in Winners Finals. When Gambler made it back to Losers Finals, I was willing to bet my left nut that Tweedy was going to fold the game, and sure enough it was a 3-0 for Gambler. Sadly even though he still is one of my favorite players, I haven't bothered watching most of Tweedy's videos ever since. I checked his Combo Breaker prediction video to see whether he will turn into a KingGambler is the real deal thing, and indeed he was predicting there that Gambler would knock SonicFox and one of the chilean twins out of the tournament, while losing to the other in Grand Finals. Sonic ended up withdrawing from the tournament, and Gambler ended with a great placement, finishing 3rd, but the point is that Tweedy saying stuff like "those who say that Sonic is better than Gambler are living in 2019". This is much more of a fanboyish take than saying Sikander is the best SubZero in the world, not only because he is still SONICFOX, who has won Evo in 2019, Final Kombat in 2020, and WePlay in 2021, but he had still placed better than Gambler in Evo '22, after being silent for over a year in MK 11, and while winning the Skullgirls EVO simultaneously. He also claimed that Gambler will bring down one of the twins, but ScorpionProcs won very convincingly. I saw him uploading some videos recently with him against Sikander (and even calling Sik a SubZero God in the title), but never bothered clicking them. Judging by this video, I'd say I made the right call. P.S.: I personally didn't notice anything toxic from Gambler's side. In fact, it was very mature of him to play the FT7 "true mirror", after winning the FT10. And he has indeed improved tremendously and is one of the very best players in the world no doubt. Sik is really inconsistent. But, like you say, on his good day, when he's on form, he can take down anyone (except for the absolute top tier, like NinjaKilla and SonicFox, obviously). His inconsistency has a lot to with MK11, which we all know he hates. It's probably hard for him to be consistent in a game he's lost the love for. Gambler's a really nice, chill, dude, btw, and I'm glad you made that clear.
My issue with Tweedy is that he dick rides soooo much between Gambler, the Chileans, ninja, and Sonic like he lives vicariously through them. It's one thing to gives those players there props like king gambler who has said on a number of occasion that Sikander is the better player which can happen and he gives props. The level of which he dick rides is something else, like what would he do if Gambler and the likes of him stop competing tomorrow. Would he still ride for them as much.
