I've had tteokbokki and it's kind of like sweet and spicy. It's a favorite of mine with rice. It's chewy like a big noodle filled all the way through.
Tteokbokki is already made of rice. Try it with ramyeon and egg! Really nice.
I hated it :( I was really bummed out cus I was expecting it to taste something like entomatadas lmfao 😭

You can made it from rice,tapioca flour & a little bit salt! Heres my tutorial!
1.get a bowl,and scoop rice whatever the scoop is! Use your own recipe!
2.add little bit of salt
3.SMASH the rice that mixed with some salt (salt is optional btw)
4.SMASH it untill the rice is smooth and not crumble again
5.add tapioca flour to it!
6.mixed!
7.roll it and shape it like Topokki!
8.boil a water with oil inside of it! It bc the Topokki its really sticky!
9.wait untill it boiling and serve it!
10.mixed with whatever sauce! •```•

아마 미니님이 보신 레시피에서 나온 물 3컵은 미국에서 쓰는 컵(250ml)가 아닌 종이컵(170~80ml) 단위였을것 같아요..! 그래서 물이 좀 많게 느껴지고 싱거웠을듯
Tteokbokki is a spicy dish with chewy gummy-like rice cakes. They’re soft and take a little longer to chew. They don’t taste like much by themselves but with the savory, spicy, thick (or thin, there are both ways) sauce it tastes really good. People usually put vegetables and fish cake (It sounds gross because of the “cake” but it’s really not) which is soft and tastes a little like squid. It’s the fish version of sausages. I know a lot of ppl didn’t know how it tastes like so hopefully this give u a hint

I would suggest not to describe how it tastes like because it may throw off people who would like to try it
진짜 궁금한거는 신전떡볶이에서 파는 치즈.. 그냥 치즈도 아니고 체다, 모짜렐라 다 아닌거같은데 엄청 고소하게 맛있음
치즈함유량이 적거나 인공치즈에요. 연노랑빛이 강하게 돌면서 불투명하고 껌처럼 끈끈하게 엉겨있으면 절대 100퍼 자연산은 아니에요 (모짜렐라는 흰색, 체다는 주황색)

it depends on what brand you buy or how you make it (and ofc your own personal taste) when i first tried it it was so good. the sauce was amazing. also adding noodles and cheese makes it so much better. just my take lol

I tried this recipe without the cheese and the rice cake (I added Korean noodles and fish cake instead as a replacement) and it’s so good. When you can, definitely try it out sometimes.
