Love the staircase and the way light moves throughout the house; however, I felt that there wasn't enough negative space to let the art compete. The building and freestanding art were constantly in competition that I wasn't able to truly appreciate it. Then again, I'm a minimalist, so maybe that's why. I definitely agree that architects are and should be seen as artists.
Hey Lexa - we believe that was Billy's intentions; a juxtaposition of art and architecture & an exploration of their relationship (against and with one another). Completely agreed, architects are artists & that staircase.. amazing! 🙂

This is truly an art home! Love the selection of materials, has some of minimalistic principle while also has a art gallery type of feel that is immersive and a comfortable home.

Better than all glass-paneled similar-looking Million Dollar Homes in LA and a few other places. A house is not a glass-paneled wall with beautiful views on the outside. How the inside of the house looks matters too.
I'm just speechless. OMG can you imagine living inside a masterpiece like this. Everything looks perfect. WOW. And the idea make the upstairs like this, its like they are living in a cathedral. I love it🤩🤩
I love it and a fantastic collection. The lighting and outside skin work beautifully. Hope there is some UV protection for the works under that skylight. Guessing it's a challenge for the conservative residents of Toorak.
There are some beautiful harmonies, themes and textures occuring here and I understand the Architects desire to contrast and contradict some of these elements. But for me its too messy almost like hes thrown the art works together without any thought. And Im sure thats the look he was after. However I love the house and If I were to buy it Id just re-arrange the artworks which is just fine tuning. Im not a fan of the "grafitti" refences on the outside however. That would need to be changed (for me anyway :)
@@TheLocalProject Too messy if you ask me. If you think about organised chaos you could refer to any of Picassos colour harmonies fighting and yet complimenting each other. I think thats what the Architect was trying for maybe but it ends up being a little messy imho.

Massive fan of the channel. The 4K resolution adds so much to these films compared to similar channels that still use 1080, but the gaussian 'out of focus' shots and the glitches really distracted me from the story in this one.
