@Maria Maria he was great at interperting songs and arranging them in his style which he was outstanding at. as far as co writing that is also false , that was his manager doing ,requiring songwriters to give up full credit so they can get there songs to Elvis so the colonel could make more money for himself. the writers figured 50% of any song Elvis recorded was worth it money wise. Dolly Parten wrote (I WILL ALWAYS LOVE YOU) hoping Elvis would record it but the colonel wanted the 50% co writing and Dolly was a great business women said no way hose. But she did alright because Whitney Houston recorded and the rest is history. The colonel was a ass hole in my opinion
@Maria Maria you are correct regarding Dolly record , but i didn't mean she wrote it for Elvis to sing i know why she wrote it seen her sing the song on the program . i tend to not go into alot of detail and i am aware of the whole story . but i have seen her live discussing she wanted him to sing it and was heart broke it never happened.
