In the official release of December 2022 they gave the following update:
"The Microsoft Research team which built the tool has moved on to new projects, and ownership of the technology is being transitioned to a team in Power BI."
So the project is still alive in Microsoft, it is just a team transitioning 😁

I am afraid that is not what it means. They will keep it alive for now but they won’t develop it further :(

Once they are certified it would be easier to convince the clients that we can use it in the reports without any fear.

Hi Ruth, Sadly it seems Ilfat has taken down the github repo for his community branch

@@CurbalDataLabs Charticulator the web service is open source, the PBI visual is not. There does seem to be some development from contributors though. Hope they keep it alive! I played with plotly which seems to be the only similar thing but I found it limiting and confusing.

But he recreated it himself… well, well it is what it is :(
I moved to python and matplotlib and never looked back, but they dont play nice with power bi , i am afraid…
