    Man, my childhood spot has changed! Used to crab and fish there often growing up! Does it still have the Grim Reaper sign posted? Great channel! Subbed.

    I just came back from my first trip to Lynhaven a few hours ago. Seemed like a site with a lot of potential. Had to battle with the crabs the whole time. Those suckers are aggressive.

      Yes they can be for sure. Lynnhaven is either really good or really bad it seems, I have usually done better there in September and August in the past. Will try it again in Sept...

    Do you just use a soft plastic on a jighead? No poppingcork?

    • @SouthernReelsFishing
      @SouthernReelsFishing  5 років тому

      Yes in this setup that is what I was using, very light jighead, 1/8 oz

    is there ever anything there in the summer?

    • @SouthernReelsFishing
      @SouthernReelsFishing  7 років тому

      Yes! Trout early in the mornings, flounder anytime the current is moving, redfish most anytime. Fish are scattered though, theres a lot of water to cover out there...

      is there too much boat traffic on the weekends for a kayak? I just picked up a hobie revo 11 a few days ago, I've been wanting to take it out around there

      You'll be fine out there, they have a nice lil kayak launch and honestly there are always a lot of yaks out there. There is quite a current at times but you'll be fine in the hobie
