- Man there is something about this soundtrack!
This song has been done several times on MPC, and when I think about it my mind always immediately goes first to johnfreeman1337's awesome arrangements--They were among the first MPC's I ever watched on UA-cam, and man I still love them. But I love this game's soundtrack so much, so I wanted to try my own hand at this song. I think it turned out well!
This uses the original soundfont with several octave and volume modifications. Also, a big thank-you to Rehdblob for recording for me! Check him out:

Enjoy!
This is delicious. There's something about SNES music and MPC that just feels right. Fantabulous job!
PhaseGenesis I definitely agree, SNES music works so well with MPC (though it's really because Mario Paint was made for the same system lol). Thanks a lot! :-)
It angers me that there’s too number 9 sections, this was amazing to listen to though
Listening to this does bring back good memories of both the game and MPC as a whole. The feels are real. You da man, poptart.
Ultrathing Wooooo, success! :-D And thanks dude!!
This is an amazing soundtrack recreation dude
you somehow made boos/coins more powerful than dual octave hearts. that's just impossible
Guitarmaster7272 I modified the soundfont X-P But you're right, dual octave hearts would normally pretty much totally mask Boos and coins.
Amazing! sound like the gameboy version mixed with the snes version what a nice union ^^
Thank you! It kind of does hahah :-P
nice remix man! How long did it take you to get so good at mpc
bufosmixes Thanks dude! Well I still learn new techniques even today, but where I am now is a result of multiple years of practice lol. Part of that is due to experimentation and trial and error, and part of that is due to watching techniques with the program evolve over the years through other peoples' videos as those people discovered things.
Aw yeah I love this song!
Rusty8984 Nostalgia rush!
Kick ass, man.
Between this and Super Bomberman 2 Battle Theme, I was wondering-do you take requests? I've got an elaborate one in mind; a real challenge for your skills if you think you can take it on.
+Raveseeker Thanks a lot! I don't officially take requests, but you can tell me what song it is and if I like it after I listen to it, I'll try to make it one day :-)
Omg!!!! This is so epic 😍

This was really fun to listen to!
RehdBlob :-D
Thanks again for all that recording lol.
It's great that there are still Mario Paint Composer videos being made. Good job!
Zainré Fang I agree! Thanks man!
Awesome!! This sounds like a techno remix! That bass is amazing.
Hahaha, thanks man! I'm really happy with how the bass turned out as well.
Neat.
MasterBrandini Thanks dude.
Well... that's a non canonical way to approach this track. I still can't expect any run-of-the-mill arrangements from you, eh?... Everything has to be awesome, eh?...
...I'm perfectly fine with that.
When I both think of this track and Mario Paint, JF's version is the one that also come to mind. Your version is definitely worth listening; not only is this a unique take on the original, it's also an excellent one. I honestly tried to spot details that I could criticize and I didn't really find any. Perhaps the low-pitch rhythm given by the mushrooms and the dogs lack a bit of distinction?... That's the "worst" I could find.
Superb work as always!
I love your critiques man. Thanks a ton! :-D I think I know which mushrooms you're talking about--For those, I added them in solely for their particular "pitch" at that note to strengthen the sound of the Boos and coins which are at the same pitch (making the Boos and coins louder one more time in Viena instead would've made them too loud). So I think any louder and those mushrooms would've sounded too percussive lol. For the dogs, they are the low bass notes. I could have maybe made them louder and found it to work, but I was afraid of making them sound too distracting, so I kept them where they were haha.
Haven't heard this one in a long time. Nicely done! :)
famouskoifish I appreciate that dude! :-)
stop it, you're gonna make my newest paint look like poop. believe it or not, i'm making Donkey Kong songs too
Guitarmaster7272 Lol no way man. Don't worry about me, release yours anyway!
Very well done :) have you checked johnfreeman1337's version?
TheDarkMatterr I have, I actually mention it in my description lol. But thanks!!
Oh damn missed that haha
TheDarkMatterr That's ok hahaha
How?
touhouguyII Lol :-P
Here's one for you. If you can make this then I will officially explode. Look up labyrinth of touhou and the song should be called "celluloid". It is my all time favorite video game track!
+touhouguyII It's a neat track, but it's not really something a like enough to make in MPC, I'm sorry :-/
ElectricPopTart18
Is it just too complex?
+touhouguyII No, I'm just not really taken by it a lot for whatever reason. Sorry!
:)
