I have to say, every shot of Kaneki's new hand is always so well placed. Look at how far he has come as a ghoul and a character. Man, Kaneki's hand alone is scary.
Stop complaining about Touka. She feels protective of Kaneki for good reason considering how she had to keep him from killing himself for almost the entire first part of TG. He has now repeatedly forced her to leave him behind facing certain death. Imagine someone you deeply care about not only making you think they're dead but also refusing to accept your help in their worst moments.
He knows why he got slapped and i think at this point he understands that he deserved it. The recent events and the whole of TG:re made Touka realize that their relationship has changed. She doesn't need to protect him anymore. That's why her attitude after the slap is completely different from when she did it in part 1.
I hope when the manga ends. I like too see Kaneki and Touka to get together. Because i like they relationship from the start.

Same, it makes sense and would be awfully symbolic that she passed the torch of the OEK to Kaneki, literally giving him her body to devour and develop a full Kakuja, and i know TG isn't generally the kind of manga to follow conventional means, like the rule of One Piece and Shounens like it; "Unless you see a body, they're alive." but, i want to see more Eto savagery man.
I really, really hope that when she said she was dying, Kaneki just said "Hell no, to the naw, naw." and forced some of his meat down her Kaneki-thirsty throat.
She's best dead. Passing the torch, as someone else said. But I would have wanted more screen time from her. And she did say that she would die. And, we didn't see her alive this chapter, but in a flashback, so she is likely dead. But I really, really, really, really, really want her alive. Ishida is weird with the severity of his injuries. Eto loses her entire lower body and lives, while losing her arms and legs lets her die. Kanae gets beheaded and lives, but gets dropped down a building and dies. Don't get me started on Noro.

Did you listen to/ read it all ? He is not just gonna stand there and preach things he is gonna force dialogue.
In the end Kaneki is right talking it out is the only way to Achieve that world he talks of.
They need to i.e. find a way for Ghouls to survive without the need to kill humans and turn the CCG from the corrupt pile of shit that it is into an organization that only hunts dangerous human killing ghouls. (or well destroying it and building a new organization for exactly that purpose).
Nonetheless no matter how the world he envisions looks like in detail he will need the cooperation of people from both sides and that won't work without Communication.

The Real Traitor Dude. Did you even see Kaneki at that point? He couldnt much less form a word than he could make her feel better, then after that he was batshit crazy for months. He saved all of their lives by sacrificing himself (albeit he probably just wanted to kill himself). If anything he should have been receiving more praise, not a banger from a girl who can never just come to terms with her feelings.

Anyway, on a serious note, it says in a translation note that it's read 'Black Goat' so the organization is actually 'Black Goat' rather than just 'Goat'. In my opinion, this also says something about the relationship of Eto and Kaneki, with the Black Goat's Egg being in a way foreshadowing. (Unless I'm mistaken:) The Black Goat's Egg is about the relationship between a young man and his mother, who is a brutal serial killer called Black Goat. At first he is disgusted by what she does, but he begins to find the same impulses and desires within himself. This compares to Tokyo Ghoul, as at first Kaneki felt immense hatred and disgust towards Aogiri and Eto, however now he has picked up what Eto started and is carrying on her ideals. Eto is the mother, Black Goat, and Kaneki is the son, and he - like Eto - has created an organization dedicated to the same core principles that Eto had.

Her asking him what she should call him provides the option for Kaneki to tell her to call him Ken (his given name). In Japan, calling someone by their given name indicates a close relationship. If she didn't recognise/want the possibility of calling him Ken, then she wouldn't have asked in the first place and continued to call him Kaneki (as she has done all throughout TG).
plus touka is not using a honorifics for when she says kaneki's name not that she ever did but kaneki regardless didnt care. Plus kaneki hates being called ken cause of his mother

Being in a close relationship doesn't mean dtf but it sure helps if you want to start a romantic relationship. She was just flirting a bit, she wasn't expecting him to bang her right there.
Kaneki simply thought she was asking between Haise and Kaneki, so he answered the latter. Her attempt to flirt flew right over his head and that's why she got frustrated and hit him.

I think Touka might have hit Kaneki bc he said it was fine to continue calling him 'kaneki' rather than 'ken', which she took as him still being distant. Since in Japanese calling someone by their first name indicates a close bond. I don't think she meant it as canon for Touken but rather them being good friends

So Kaneki named his new anti-human group Black Goat. No doubt after Eto's book, The Black Goat's Egg. His goal is to force a dialogue between humans and ghouls. That will most likely backfire. When you try to force someone to listen through violent means, it usually doesn't work. Speaking of violence, I'm going to address the controversial portion of this chapter. Touka punching Kaneki. Though the scene was meant to be humorous, in which Kaneki didn't get the hint that Touka wanted to start calling him by his first name, many took offense to it. Especially after we saw Kaneki remembering his mother beating him on a regular basis during his childhood. Touka punching him again really seemed in bad taste. Of course, this could be choked up to value dissonance. What may be offensive to us, Westerners, may not be offensive to the target Japanese audience. Either way, that action elicited a strong, mostly negative, response. We also learned how Irimi and Koma managed to escape death from the CCG's Reaper. It was because Kaneki showed up. Hinami looking over a still recuperating Akira is interesting. I can just imagine how awkward that conversation will be. Also, it seems Kaneki has no qualms about injuring humans (although not killing them) since the news report (in which his along with Hirako's faces were plastered for all to see) stated that two investigators were in critical condition. That could have only have been Aura and Mougan. Either way, we know Kaneki's plan will not go as well as he hoped. That is a given. With this 'happy' chapter, more tragedy is on the way.

man this chapter is reason i love tokyo ghoul and is my favorite manga/anime/visual novel of all time. The way I interpret the One Eye King goal is something I hope for the real world mainly the united states wanting to unite bring coexistence between ghouls and human, having the ghouls stop being treated as animals, killed for no reason, ghouls just struggling to survive. The goal is something I want as a young black male in the united states Im personally tired of seeing my fellow people get treated like animals as if we don't belong, segregated as the bad part of the neighborhood, have to fake it to make it to get a job in the states especially in this day in age. I wish we have some sort of one eyed king for some better coexistence between the rich and poor, weak and strong, minority and majority. I don't take what i just said as controversial but thats just how a feel sometimes i feel worthless sometimes a black male in the US as ishida shows as the ghouls do in TG. I have never smiled so much when kaneki laid out his plans. Ishida is a great freaking writer.

I think the other investigators that will help kaneki are maybe marude,akira,amon possibly anyone else? I don't think kyoko aura or mogen would help unless hirako told them the truth. But not sure since it's the first chapter of the new arc plus a month has passed by now. Hyped for the nxt chapter! :) Though i really wish it hadn't delayed till sunday bc for me it kinda lost alittle impact due to that unfortunately.

You didn't get the melanin part. When RC cells are suppressed melanin is at normal levels so for kaneki his hair is black. Jason's RC suppressants had no effect on his hair. It was him accepting his ghoul side and basically in the span of a short duration releasing a shit load of RC activity messed up his melanin levels bad making his hair turn white. What made the had turn part black and white at the start of re was cause as a prisoner at cochela the ccg suppresses RC activity in ghouls. And then with the fight with arima after kaneki decided to live, he once again released a bunch of RC activity and hair turned white again.(Thus his arms and legs were basically kagune wrapped).
I feel You should do an analysis on this chapter. Also eto better not be dead dammit!

the punch from touka could also be considered her being mad that Kaneki didn't tell her to call him ken instead since the Japanese use the usage of the first name to signify how close people are to each other. It's quite funny if you think that he was thinking about being called Haise or Kaneki when she might have meant Ken or Kaneki
I don't think the suppressants used by Yamori were responsible for Kaneki's hair going white. Firstly, the melanin turns hair DARK, not light, so using the suppressants would likely have the opposite effect. Plus, the effect of Kaneki's hair darkening was a lot more gradual whereas the lightening was fairly quick. I'm pretty sure his hair turned white due to the immense stress induced by the severe torture (with his toes and what-not being repeated cut off), and probably the same thing happened for Takizawa and Mutsuki.
So whats up with Kaneki's hands? lol are they claws or badly drawn gloves...
So, what exactly does the 'who must be born must first destroy the world' mean. Like yeah i know what the book Black Goat's egg is about but i still dont understand what it is foreshadowing.

It makes sense that Kaneki and Seidou both developed white hair after their torture, because prior to it, they didn't have as many RC Cell Pathways (gained by healing wounds), and by extension, less RC cell activity, keeping them at their normal hair colors

Tokyo Ghoul is great with science. I knew that Enji and Kaya weren't dead! This was one of the best chapters I've read so far. After the painfully drawn out Cochella Raid, finally we get to see Kaneki again! Kanekis hair actually turned white (most likely) from Marie Antoinnet syndrome, which turned hair white during times of extreme stress.
Not sure why touka really punched kaneki tho? cause of the Things He did in the past or the fact He didnt let her call him by his first name :)
Other than that such a god damn hype (and happy) Chapter everyone coming together.
will be Hard to wait for another week, cant wait to see some possible interactions between certian characters !

Hats off to Sui Ishida for this GOD TIER writing we're getting. A couple years ago today I watch the first season of the anime and I was hooked ever since. Now that next week will be at Chapter 100 (203 if you're combining TG part 1) I can only what he Ishida has in store for us. It'll be nothing short of GOAT.
