You honestly don't know how much of a relief it was to find this. I did the big chop 6 weeks ago and I just couldn't figure out what to do with this mess. It's midnight and I just got out of bed to try this. It actually worked 😳😳.
Did you use a soft brush?
Yesssss I been experiencing myself!! But I use the sponge!! It’s better for me..
I just used a regular brush lolol

This is the best 4c style tutorial that I have seen, its no nonsense and gets straight to the point. I also have 4c hair and have struggled with ways to style it. I am growing out a mohawk and have found this very helpful. Also your hair and make up look lovely. Thanks for a great video!

OMG!!!! You were a true godsend from the TWA Gawds from way up above. I literally just Big Chop'ed yesterday... Was so excited when I was able to wash and go and really define my curls. I happily went to bed in my silk bonnet. Then horrors of all horrors... I woke up this morning in a complete panic when all my pretty curls were DOA deflated. But I was so glad I came across your helpful tutorial. Girl... You have helped me to resuscitate and revive my curls. They have been awoken! So lovely. You have the perfect style head for this hair style. You are the second person I have seen using a board's brush to get that coil curl style. Others use a special sponge for the same affect.

I recently did my BIG CHOP on Memorial Day weekend and have been just using leave in conditioner and mousse for styling. I've always wanted to learn how women created this style and you did a FAB job!!! It looks GREAT!!! I'll have to try this!!

I just did the Big Chop after 40 years of relaxing my hair. I'm very happy about the short hair but definitely need tips on styling and maintenance. This was an excellent video for "how to" without the excessive chatter. Thanks for posting. Btw, you have a beautiful complexion, will definitely look into your other videos.
I didn't know what to do with my 4c hair once it started growing out from my big chop so i just kept cutting it! Thanks for sharing! Now i will let it grow out and start swirling it! lol

I have 4c hair and cut it off 2 weeks ago after relaxers for years and having tangled neck length hair with tree braids. I’ve tried the sponge, brush, moisture cream, gel and olive oil on my hair to gain curls. It’s very coarse and I’ve not done so well. It’s late so I’m going to try your method and product suggestions in the morning. I pray it works.
