Idc what anyone says Roscoe had every right to stand up to his dad
His anger was not unnecessary
Agreed and he was justified in his anger. He spent the better part of his life being treated like a step son instead of an actual son. I get that the dad wanted to make up for his nephew not having his parents around but he didn’t have to alienate his own son to do it
@@brittanyosorio5246 Plus, he also constantly went hard in the paint on Roscoe when he did wrong but gave Clyde a pass when he did wrong. That's not fair either; you're so suppose to discipline your kids the same when they mess up whether their yours or not.
His whole family were disturbing.
His dad never showed him any respect
Jokes aside Roscoe had every right to be angry at his father because he showed him no respect, gave him no credit, he always favored Clyde and on top of the fact he was never happy about what Roscoe accomplished over the years ever since they been away from each for so long.
The sad part about this is that there are parents like that today, favoring one child over others, not giving them credit, or just abusing them. The main character abuse in this movie is so high it's unwatchable for me.
What you expect he's Darth Vader
Watching this years later now I see how unsettling Roscoe family really was. Crazy thing is if Clyde won that dad of his would be smiling ear to ear. Roscoe was completely justified in calling out his dad for treating him the way he did as a kid into adult hood. Even that tv situation his dad pulled was disrespectful.
The difference would have been that Clyde would have still been guilty for letting that go for so long.
When i saw this in theaters, the whole theater was silent during this scene. To feel like an outcast for your own family for so long was so hard to watch for Roscoe
Martin and Cedric were really pushing the kids out the way LMAO 😂😂 I always loved this movie it's hilarious
Say fuk dem kids with out sayin fuk dem kids 😂😂😂😂
@@Loveableloser14LOL that's exactly what they were saying 😂😂
@@marquesjohnson6359 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Mike Epps said “you got a case pending” now that was funny 😂
Tbh I would have stayed away for 9 yrs my damn self if I had to go through what Roscoe went through
I swear they was some haters 💯
@@marcellusjones7894 man hate ain’t even the word I would describe it it’s more so of his dad his mom understood

@Phoenix Leo ♌️ how come ?
Same here . Every father should know that . Resentment is the most hurtful feeling that a son can get from a father not getting credit for your son turning out good making a name for himself in this crazy world
When the kids stepped on Martin's hand I was crying 😭😂
0:35 lol I like this part. Can’t understand what he’s saying but it’s cool. I’m a chair? lol idk
Martin's screams made it even funnier.

Roscoe had every right to lash out the way he did. And I know I'm in the minority, his son pissed me off. None of the other kids asked for help. He knew how important this was for his dad
For real.
Nah fr bro the kid wasn’t even trying.
@@bufu47776:06 R.J was right was right his daddy never give him creidt for nothing he did.
His dad really didn’t acknowledge him till the very end 😪
That's why I can't watch this movie. Too much main character abuse.
Roscoe was right his father should’ve given him more love and respect.
Every son needs his father.
Talk to that shit bro
Martin showed solid dramatic range
6:16 Can't blame him for acting like that.
This movie is so underrated. It had great actors, a great story, and it was funny. Wish Martin was able to make this into his own little universe like Tyler Perry does. Maybe we could have seen him interact with some more of his other crazy family members.
Totally agree
Damn right it is!
wrddd
I know for a fact when they were filming this scene everybody was dying laughing 🤣🤣
Yep
“Share dat! Share dat!” 😂😂😂😂😂
😂😂😂😂
Took me tf out man 😩😭💀
My favorite part😂
That was too funny
6:44 Even Clyde felt guilty.
Clyde should feel guilty after all this happened when they were young.
I think 7:34 betty felt bad for laughing at him as well.
Me too after all Roscoe wanted respect not just by his family but his father.
“Smack the cover girl off yo face”😂😂
7:58 😅😭😆
Whew the ending of this scene reminds me of me and my folks . They took care others more than me. I still have have that feeling of resentment.
I hate when underrated movies like these get no appreciation
Because of the main character abuse most likely.
7:43 I don't blame Betty at all she was sick of Bianca's shit. 💯 In a good thing Roscoe did dumped her at the end.
I wish Reggie didn’t stop Betty cause I was hoping she beat up Bianca.
@@daltonsmith1475at 7:42 looks like Clyde was trying to said something to bianca.
@@treyvonwilliams it looks like he was trying say something to her
@@daltonsmith1475 what if he say first of all that's My cousin I can shake his hand. That would've been funny.
Betty just like drama
man theses two togather are HILARIOUS....
I actually think Clyde and Roscoe are the type of brothers whose favorite person to fight was the other, the loves there but Roscoe Sr. Poisoned that bond growing up but when Clyde said they were brothers you could tell that all the fight Roscoe had with Clyde just evaporated because the truth is he never blamed Clyde, he blamed his dad's reaction to Clyde which kinda blurred his visions of Clyde over the years
Roscoe whole family needed to be dealt with. They all were weird and favored Clyde.
The only one who didn’t was His Mama.
@@allengreene9954But it was really her own fault because she didn't even try to stop it. Then she wants to say something during the anniversary scene.
Lucinda was also another who respected Roscoe AND didn't really feel anything for Clyde.
"I'm not afraid of her!" Umm girl, did you not see Roscoe's face after she was done with him🤷♂️🤷♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️
That had me laughing when she said that.
I haven't seen this movie in years. It used to make me laugh to death.

Bruh when he slipped on the log. I felt that in my whole body
I don't know why but whenever I see a male get hit in the private part. It's like I can feel it.
The acting in the ending scene is very powerful even Bianca shows fear and changes her attitude when Roscoe and his father finally talk
When you realized that you didn’t know it was this deep until he let his resentment all out.
"NAVY SEAL,NAVY SEAL" 😂😂😂 man i love this movie so much.
This was the scene... that made me realize you don't need a father to be successful.
How?! Because Roscoe still had a father...his issue was he thought his father favored Clyde over him. Which drove Roscoe to be a success in the first place...but he still wanted love from his father.
Everybody's entitled to their opinion as the saying (which I don't agree with) but black men can't be making statements like that bruh on open forums. Only women say nonsense like that because they are 2 dimensional thinkers and can't see the forest through the trees. A man is supposed to have the foresight and wherewithal to understand things on a macrocosmic level. No other race of men would make a statement like this bruh...especially on an open forum.
That was a terrible takeaway
Why the hell did this movie try and make the family sympathetic, they were toxic af
I agree and they treated Roscoe like A outsider.
Yes
Reggie was chill af and respectful towards Roscoe. He just played too much, like any other cousin. And Otis made plenty good points when he was being hard on Roscoe. Otis never judged Roscoe. But everybody else definitely deserved Roscoe's Rage, IMO.
This was one of the funniest movies from my childhood days, when I saw this scene in theaters I laughed so hard when they started pushing the kids out of the way. When Roscoe, slipped from that log and hit his nuts I lost it and spit out my drink while laughing one of the most funniest Malcom D Lee films ever along with soul men. Also in this scene I felt sorry for Roscoe I can't blame him he didn't feel appreciated by his father or anyone cause of Clyde coming along, to me that's how I would feel sometimes but it saddens me how son really needs a father's support looking at it makes me miss mine very much now he's passed away due to brain cancer last year in August.
I feel like Roscoe just wanna earn his dad's respect but it seems like he isn't giving him any credit for anything he does
That and plus he wanted his dad to understand the pain he caused his son
Roscoes family is literally a movie Version of not just my family but a lot of peoples. Treat you like shit and gaslight you yet wonder why you only see them once every 5-10 years
smh wrd💔
Mike Epp's character was my favorite.
Mine too.
I swear that boys ears were connected to his neck @5:43 😂
i can totally see why he stayed away for nine years.
Me too.
MIKE EPPS side comments in this movie is so funny...

Most of this clip was corny and really overly dramatic but it worked. The ending though. The incredible acting really showed. I know how it feels not to fit in and to feel like you’re invisible. Martin Lawrence is a true genius.
