Finally. An opinion on which headphones smell better. Now I can make my purchase decision.
Does sennheiser momentum 3 have the same feature as Sony, if the music isn’t playing it will automatically Turn off the headphone?

When it comes to sound quality, Sennheiser is the benchmark, and it has features. Awesome review, deep down to nitty gritties of each product; other didn't talk about many of these.

Don't buy into the Sony hype. Sony decided to focus on functionality over sound quality. They may be high tech, but they don't fulfill their primary function as well as they should. With all the software trying to improve the sound, the drivers will inevitable sound congested compared to the M3's. LDAC, slightly filling in lossy files, and an EQ can never fully compensate for lower end hardware. Unless you REALLY need the tech features built into the headphones, I wouldn't recommend them.
I've bought XM4s yesterday, ANC works wonders, but sound is garbage. I'm going to return them tomorrow, but I'm not sure what else to buy. After this video I'm thinking about the Momentum 3 and also about Bose 700 and ATH-M50xBT.
Audio-Technica is for best price, Bose have best microphone and Momentum 3 seems to have best sound quality ? What do you think ?
BobTheBurglar Yeah I went with the Sennheiser’s. They’re the best sounding ANC headphones I’ve ever tried, and I honestly don’t care about battery life. Even 10 hours is a good enough for me.
I guess I care about sound way more than smart features and ANC.

I'm just deciding between Sony XM4 (XM3 are out of stock) and Sennheiser PXC 550 II..so I ordered both to try...its hard one to decide. Sennheiser pros: more comfortable, better touch controls. Cons: not loud enough, not the best sound.
Sony pros: sound is perfect, NC is slightly better, you can adjust sound as much as you want (app).
Cons: not as comfortable, price, touch controls not so accurate.
I dont care which cable they use for charging or about microphone, because I use them at work because of loud environment.
I kinda go for Sony because of sound and bit better NC. otherwise Sennheiser's are also very good!

I love how ANCs were about the commute, taking care of that people, or the noisy offices. But now everything about the Zoom call, I wonder why reviewers dont focus on that, my biggest struggle is the mic, I want people to understand me since English is not my first language.
Absolutely true. We've been focusing on calls way before that though. ;)

I have a question about the momentum 3, you mentioned that transparency mode does not able to play music, but calls? There are something’s when in a call (office meeting) you want to hear your surroundings, this is an option with the momentum?

Hey. Love the video guys! Two questions.
1. Would the momentum get too hot for a warmer climate like India compared to the xm4.
2. Since this would be my first pair of high end headphones, I'm unsure how to really make a sense of the sound differences. If listening to music is my primary reason to buy these, am I much better of going for the momentum compared to the Sony's? Or is it just a small difference.
Hey. 1. Both would be similarly warm, maybe the Momentum’s may have the edge. In ears might be best for warmer climes.
2. The difference is not big, but it exists if you know what you’re looking for. Sorry that’s not much help, but it’s the truth. :) You can’t really go wrong with either though.

I am a orchestra player, but some of my colleagues are even composers and conductors and we all still are totally satisfied with something like Sony XM4/5 or Bose 700 and etc.
So do YOU really need a pair of crazy high end headphones ?
I am talking ONLY about the sound quality !!!
Of course if ,,you" want go showing off or just the money are NO object for you, of course, buy what you want !

I bought XM3 returned as audio calls sound quality was pathetic , I used to have lot of background noise while on calls or on whatsap calls, also the ear cups was very discomfort on my ear. si now I bought pxc 550 ii , only issue is sound is not louder as compare to mx3 while audio calls issue is not there with pxc 550 ii and light on the ear.

hey i thought it was a great video. I recently got the pxc 550ii, and I was wondering if I should return them and buy the xm4's instead. I like that the xm4's have better ANC, that's why I'm considering them. But I was wondering, for sound quality, which one is the better one? the 550ii sound good, but they cant really be customized, whereas the xm4's can. For sound quality specifically, which of these 2 would you recommend?
It’s very close sound wise. PXCs are flatter out of the box. Some like that and some find that it’s not musical enough. A question of taste. Sony definitely has more customization options and sounds less flat. But worse for calling.

Noice cancellation isn't really necessary but is always a plus! As long as it sound amazing and doesn't require a an amplifier. I also don't care about these confusing features!

Sennheiser momentum wireless 3 is good for sound quality along with the bang and olufsen anc headphones. The airpods max also sound good but they’re pretty overpriced
Kudus to both. I'm planning to buy one from these. My priority is for sound quality and mic quality (For attending meetings from office/home). I'm not a heavy bass fan. For me ANC an additional nice to have a feature (I don't listen to music while travelling through headphones). Which one do you suggest?
For working from home, I'd choose the PXC. More comfortable, better at calls.

Bad comparation of audio. Insufficient information and bad structure of the comparison. You should describe bass mids and highs for every headphone, one at a time and after that make a comparison

Good comparison! I would just have to say that you two need to work on your sound quality review.
The xm3 sound very muddy and dark. They have too much high bass which makes their bass hit like a dull knife and more wooly. The high midrange is subdued which makes them sound a little (not a lot) dark.
Xm4 has improved this. They tighten up the bass (less high bass bloat) and bring up the high mids a little and sounds slightly brighter and more crisp.
Pxc 550 ii are probably the best default sounding out of the box but the volume is a little too low for some. This can be a deal breaker depending on the volume if one's music. They are very airy with great separation. Tight punchy bass (not overdone) with sparkly high end and decent mids.
The sennheiser momentum 3 has the potential to be the best sounding anc headphones in the world (yes in the world) by adjusting the EQ slider slightly down and to the right. They now have the best bass (clean textured and very punchy), great smooth mids, and sparkly treble with awesome soundstage and separation. Here's a picture below

With default they still sound better than the xm3 and on par with xm4 and slightly below pxc 550 ii.

XM4 sounds really bad while connected to a Mac, because they use SBC codec by default. On device that supports LDAC it's not so bad, but I want to use headphone mainly on a computer, so I'm going to try Momentum 3. Thanks for your review !

@@thongtran9784 Well I only used in-ear headphones before, I feel that the bass of XM4 is still too rich. It sounds like the one for country bumpkins. It brings me to the memory when people enjoy having subwoofers in their cars 20 years ago... But you know it's a ANC, when using it in noisy condition, I can tolerant it. I don't know if Bose is better for your next choice, I have no idea.

@@thongtran9784 I never tried momentum 3. Some comments online said its sound quality is better. But you know its battery only lasts 17h. Bose is too ugly, while momentum 3 lasts shorter and is cost more.
Would you try Apple? It released a new headphone which doubles the price of XM4... Or just airpods.

Thanks guys. I have been waiting for a comparison between the XM4's and the Momentum 3's but what was that noise at 9:01? It sounded like they were croaking. The PXC 550ii's are now off my 'watch list'. I have an iPhone and I like the 'as published' sound of music. Codec's confuse me, both the Sony and Sennheiser have great codecs but are not supported on the iPhone. Apple fanboys keep promising Airpods Studio over the ear headphones but.....still waiting. I have Airpod Pros but I have issues with them such that I would recommend them as a 'do not buy'.
