*To recruit Syd you need to upgrade your HQ to Level 3 (not Level 2) I made a small typo in the video*
I wouldn't say this is true for a blacksmith, my HQ is level 2 I don't even have the option to talk to the blacksmith in town 18:29.
Maybe I'm not far enough with the main story but Douglas it is nowhere to be found.😕

I’m trying to get hogan but I’m having trouble getting him should I sell all 5000 at once in one place?
No, you have to make 50000 PROFIT from the bazaar dealers (the shops with the scales icon) basically buy everything you see with a down arrow and then sell at any other bazaar where it has an up arrow, so if you buy something for 300 and then sell it for 500 that will count as 200 profit towards the 50000, this can take a long time unfortunatly.

Video have some bad explanation on recruiting some Chars... for example syd need some items, lam need talk with rufian before .. and some other Bad explanation .. have feeling the recruiting Videos was stolled from diferents users and Edited..

Just a heads up on Syd - 24:50 - aside from needing the HQ at level 3, you also need 1 x Iron Ore, 1 x Mystic Lumber and 1 x Dire Beast Bone in your inventory.
Don't go to your HQ, otherwise it'll take those resources automatically.

@tiepthilua375 Unfortunately no, but thankfully it only took me about 5-10 minutes to gather 1 of each again. If you have a monster repellent accessory, it makes it way faster

About Lam recruiting bug (solved) - I spoke to her before recruiting Rufian and thought it would be buggy. I searched him in my hub and found him in the tavern on the right side of it, drinking ofc. But after that he triggers the event, so take him with you and you should be able to recruit Lam with him than. Hope that helps someone

B'baba and Faye can be after recruiting Perrielle you don't have to finish Hashahn Story quest just to that point it will make it easier to recruit Carrie first and Glenn can recruit before that same with Pieter too

You know with it's title I thought they lowered the number to be exactly 100. But no they actually increased it from suikoden's usual 108 to 120 lol
on the kick starter thats what they started doing for every new mile stone they would add in a new character with like 3 or so of them if you spent a big 1 time investment on the game they desnged one after the person or for them.

So there are two endings to the game. One if you play too far and don’t recruit everyone… and the other “true” ending or second play through after watching the guide video. Got it!

I hope there's no missable characters, like characters that you miss after you progress to certain amount of time. Cause I plan to play this game blind, and try to get them all diligently. Playing this game by the weekend will take me back to when I played Suikoden for sure

There is two. One is due to a bug (It would probably be fixed in the future if it is not already)
The other one requires you to recruit all 119 characters before the last field battle.
@@PuchimonExtreme the 2nd is typcal of the 1st two suikoden games the 1st one was to recruit 107 and the last was your body guard who is rezzed back form a storyline death rather eraly to save the MC and something simuler to what will happen in the 2nd you need all 107 and then at the end well I leave that up to you to look into if you dont know 2 is by far the best of the whole sieries.

Damn i missed this Aleior 34:14 ... I followed your guide, after Yulin joined the party I couldn't find Marisa in my base at that spot
You can get Leene even if you completed the battle after the reuined. The last one for me was Aleoir because I misstimed the coop with Marissa and don't know that it is missable.
After the battle and Boss Heinrich Group with marissa, then Port to Mine and get Aleoir. After that Port back to castle (inside) and than go outside to trigger the Dialog. Then Leene will join and you completed all Stars.

@tortoro7 not for me. Could Teleport after the battle to free eltinwise before starting the next Dialog Scene. Got Aleoir, and after that, it triggered it so Leene had joined the Party and got the Achievment for obtaining all 120 Chars. And got also the good Ending. But I am truly feeling sad for you because one is missiable Char before it's almost too late. Andv if you want, you have to go again through all that again. Hope you have some different Save Points to not lose too much

@tortoro7 exactly....but you can Teleport to a town and go to Hotel and can Form your Party there instead. Then, I went to the Mine with Marissa, making him join. Then, Teleport back to inner Castle and go outside to trigger the Dialog Scene

There are so many mini games or whatever to get these characters that never makes me want to get them all again when I play through it a second time. I hate the cooking game, the sand rider thing, and fishing to name a few

Today, I went excitedly to the mysterious room, but something very sad happened: the woman is no longer there! I tried to interact with the runes inside the room, but nothing happened. I can't get Renya - she will end the fight in the middle of turn 3 around 1,700 damage and say I didn't do enough. Do you also need a castle level for her?

13:35 nope it should be there since the 1st time you get to the area (remember it won't show up with an icon untill yu actually stand in the correct spot and start fishing at least once at that location).

Still can’t seem to get Clarke play to show up in the item shop.
Are these in order of when you can recruit them? Ormond says he's available after getting the HQ, but I have no idea how to get back to the abandoned mines area. I thought the HQ was built inside the mines but now we're in a completely new area with no access to a weapon smith that I can find.
You get back to the mines through the well by the cemetery at your castle

Lam recruitment is actually not bugged. You have to to talk to riufan at Cassandra’s inn, located at HQ. He’ll tell you that there’s somebody to recruit at that village, then you bring him with you, talk to the lady named “???” And that’s how the scene is triggered

At first its bugged if you speak with her first before recruiting riufan. The scene still trigger but when you talk with lam again , no scene trigger. The dev already give the update patch for this bug maybe you play after the patch released.

you have to now recruit Riufan, then talk to him in the hero's den back at your castle to start the quest.

Once you recruit Seign, you get to keep him, right? Like you can put him in your party for the rest of the game?
There are a few moments in the story where he has to command his own team so you cant put him in your main party during those times but for the most part yeah you can add him to your party 👍🏻

What level were you when you took our Reyna? I'm at 41 with level 6 weapons on the strongest characters and I barely do 40-50 damage per person
im level 47 before i crack reyna , needs a lot of damage , and buffs.
try using this team:
FRONT NOWA, HAKUGIN, LIAN
BACK, MOMO, MARISA ISHA
AND SUPPORT PUT DOUGLAS AND MAKE SURE HE WILL ACTIVATE THE BUFF ON THE START OF THE FIGHT
You need to buy darkness rune level 1 and 2 or bring Milana. 1st round use both runes, or cast dark sleep from milana then 1 char use darkness rune 2. 2nd round go all out.. that should be enuff damage

@@berongkun Thank you, I eventually got her with food buffs, taking the blacksmith, and using str buff rings. I used Melridge with a Scorching rune 3rd spell, Lam using her rune then again the second time, Yuferus, Yuske, Francesca to break her armor in one hit, Galdorf, ... thanks though.
Also, you have to do it before round 3 starts.

You need to wait around for 10 minutes for the fish the refresh.

Is there a character like Viki? Coz in Suikoden, its kinda hard to travel without Viki's Blinking Mirror
During the story events in Hishahn you unlock Carrie, she is the caharacter that allows you to fast travel 👍🏻

Can i ask something, i finished the boss story at Old Town of Hishahn(currently in impershi’arc mission) but when i talked to Code L in Daphan Village, he still asking for Rune of currents, maybe you can help? thanks
Make sure you dont have the Rune equipped onto any of your heroes and make sure it isnt in storage, I think you have to have it in your inventory to show him.

El Alicanto is missable? I just check your video and after some moment in the story in wont let me go inside Snowpeal Pass, that will suck to that to be the 119 character and cant get the 120 because of it
Dont worry advance the story a tiny bit further (untill past twinhorne west) and you will be able to go back to snowpeak pass

We get such a cool design with a nice australian accent and even have him wielding knives in his art, and what happens? they make him a support character.
Something tells me that at one point or another they planed to make him an active fighter but then changed there mind.

I cant remember exactly but I think between level 50-55 (I did it just after finishing the story events in Snowpeak Pass).

38 for me, put her to sleep and use your strongest fighters. for me yusuke and gandalf did most of the work with some help from gar, nowa, lian, and francesca

Is Aleior missable? A friend of mine finished the story without talking to Marisa after she joins the group. His HQ is already level 4. Yet B´Baba says that Marisa has something to talk about.

Make sure you get the Iron Ore AFTER starting his quest WITHOUT going back to the HQ after picking it up (as everytime you go to the HQ it automatically stores all of your materials away)
not everything is a big, frend. You need it in your inventory, simple as that

On the bright side, if you just stand around an ore spot in the mine for a while, it'll just respawn materials in that spot.
It has to be bugged. I started the quest went to get the iron ores got them returned to him and he says that he wont join.

There is another Rune of Currents ina chest in the Ice Cave later on (also I havn't checked but you can most likely buy them after upgrading your rune shop to max)

Douglas will ask you for 10 iron ore. Gather them AFTER you talk to him. If you have them beforehand like I did he won't take them
With Lam you need to talk to Riufan at the inn in your hq. THEN bring him to Daphne

Aire worked for me once I was OVER 135. I was 135 exact and she said I was close but not close enough
i caught every fish there and didnt get the bream at all. does the fish re pop after time or how does that work?
Yeah you have to wait for a while for the fish to respawn, the bream is a pretty rare find unfortunatly.
I got the desired fish from the seaside cavern fishing spot right next to the iron ore mining spot, first time

#68 Lam you have to talk to Riufan at the inn in hq to initiate the quest. Then you go talk to her with Riufan in your party

@angkiss not sure then. I tried talking to lam before talking to Riufan only to get ignored. After talking to Riufan at the inn in your hq I got a little scene then I put riufan in my party and tried again and it worked. Maybe come back later to see if it works?
i think Hogan need profit to 500000, you type 50000.
Because i tried 50000 he say is still more far sways than the promise profit.
8:30 When u try to get them. There is a way to get many EXP. Just Move around the guards, they tell Something of a Dangerous monster.
In this little spots are very strong enemies. I was lv 19 after the Fight lv 30. But be careful and save. The enemies hits are strong and kill a member very quick.
Yeah my lil bro found this little trick at Bounty hill a couple days back, works a treat. Took all my characters from low levels to 33 .. Reminds me of the Suikoden 2 ex farm, but way easier.
Easy way to get reyna . Just wait you got suport galladur , and it takes over 3k damage at the start of the fight !! After that atack fight is done.

to recruit syd you need HQ level 3 not 2 I was at hq level 2 and talked to him he just repeats art is an explosion if you find a place for his workshop let him know now I'm at hq lv 3 and he gave me a request for iron mystic lumber and direbeast bones an unspecfiyed amount
My castle is at level 3 and I brought him his materials and he won’t take them I don’t know if he needs a specific amount or what.

@@asuraofwrath u can get the dire beast ones from bounty hill, mystic lumber from dappled forest and iron ore in the abandoned mine. They need to be in your inventory but mine keep disappearing and I am not sure why and I also don’t know how many he needs. Your building inventory is different I figured this much out lol.
@@Getdown8319 yea i know where to get what he wants and the reaspm you materials keep disapering is if you step foot into your town in anyway all materials you have get pulled into the towns inventory

Question, are their missable characters? Cause if so I think I screwed myself out of yume....
It looks like the only really missable character is Leene (I think) as you need to have all other 119 Heroes by a specific time in the story near end game, Aleior is also semi-missable as you need to start a quest by talking to Marisa at the HQ and if you advance too much in the main story before doing her quest you won't be able to do it, though this one feels more like an oversight and hopefully they will fix it.

I forgot to get mellore and yume before the war. After the war you can still go back
man it seems almost impossible to get that wheeel fish for the fisherman. been at it now for a several hours. I broke my game talking to the Lam girl took so long to get that stupid fish too.
Hishahn the deep sea cave beside it. Beside that cave theres a fishing spot. No wooden board thing its kinda hidden. Hug the edgen going back to hishahn from the cave and it should prompt to fish. Additional clue it has a rock on it. Also, its possible to run out of fish so just come back to it after a cardgame or smethng
@@francismendiola5057 no I know where the spot is and it took me hours to even get one constanly getting other type of fish then I got it with the lam bug that brakes the game so I restarted.

120? I'm all for a huge group of a ragtag bunch of misfits, but you have to be clinically insane to play a game like this.
Not very many will actually be apart of your main team. Many are support and many are just like NPCs but in your castle town. Maybe 1/3 of them or so you can actually fight on your team.
