You can definitely see the Doctor is nearly crying at the end of this. And he only ever cries about Rose. You can tell he never wanted to let her go. :'(
The Doctor and Rose make me so happy but they also break my heart. There is something so special and addictive over these two together and i will never get over their seperation. I hope the human Dr and Rose do come back at some time though and Captain Jack too.
Ugh watching this live and hearing Rose's theme play I lost it. I spent this whole scene weeping. Such a lovely little goodbye for David's Doctor. Thanks for posting!
I think this really is the perfect farewell for the Doctor & Rose. It's not full of tears and regret and things left unsaid, it's just a little exchange where the Doctor slips into her memories and wishes her all the best. I like to imagine that someday Rose would remember this, and that she and Metacrisis would figure out what it meant: that Ten was regenerating, and that before he went, he finally said his final goodbye, the goodbye that both of them really needed. Perfect scene.
Aw I love how they ended this, I'm really pleased they didn't bring back Rose properly, cause even though she's my favourite, it would just have been overkill. And it's kind of poetic that the first time she ever met him was actually the last time aswell, one big circle.
i heard she said that if she was asked to come back one last time she would but she doesn't think people want her back...i want her back :'( the doctor hasn't actually said goodbye to her yet, like the word goodbye :'(
This is a flawless last scene for these two. I always felt like their last scene is Journey's End was too emotionally charged and lacked resolution. This is exactly what they needed, a very sweet, simple scene that seems to resolve everything that has happened between the two. And the fact that Rose is what 10 decided he wanted to see right before he regenerated makes my heart melt.
Aww..I always found that when i watched them all giggly/Lovey dovey with each other I'd be all smiley like a loon LOL DT said "He loved her so much that he gave her a chance at happiness even if it meant losing her and his own" *Sigh*
so romantic and doesn't the Doctor make it a rule not to cross someones Timeline but he crosses Roses..If so can he get anymore lovable and look at his poor face? Oh doctor you're so head over heels :((
Rose, no matter what, always is and will be the best companion for the Doctor. She made him smile and always had the best advice to give him. She made mistakes, of course, which only made her even more perfect. I truly do hope BBC gives her another appearance but I sadly doubt it.
None of ten companions are going to come back (As far as we know) That's why the doctor visited them To end their stories No doubt Sarah Jane and Jack will come back though
Yeah! Rose & Jackie had such a great relationship - all those moments like in "Love & Monsters" where they defend each other, and "The Parting of the Ways", and "The Christmas Invasion" and "Doomsday" and all of Jackie's other appearances. It's great to see that again here, and it's nice that even if the Doctor didn't say goodbye to Jackie, he did see her, and she did get a mention, because she really was great.
The one thing I miss about series five and six is the omission of a family. You have Amy and Rory but the family members were always such a big part of the show - Jackie, Mickey and Wilf in particular!
Oh.... this always KILLS me.... He loved her, from the beginning..... & just wanted one more glimpse, before he regenerated. What a sweet, sweet man/alien (LOL).
I still cry whenever I see this scene..Hell, I'm crying right now. I just hope the tears don't fry my keyboard. At least it'll be a good cause :'( I'm happy that the last person he got to see was Rose though. It all started with them and that's how it should end. The tenth Doctor was the best.
@Rose99991000 I also thought that but if you look at it carefully he is standing in the light so she can see his face. Put as River Song would say 'they haven't met each other yet'
rose is in series 5 episode lodger in a flashback u can see her in it when the dcotor hit his head aganist the other head so he can show the guy who he really is..
Me to! I really want to see her and the 10th human doctor come back so bad!!!!!! She was my favorite companion and the 10th doctor is my favorite doctor! It would be a dream come true to see them both return! Especially as a couple!
Would I be alone in thinking that he's just crossed her timeline to say goodbye to her? co's when she sees the 10th doctor for the first time it takes her a while to accept it's him (the 9th changed) but wouldn't this change things for her when she sees him regenerate as she's now met him on 1/1/05?
Hehe.. Jus' a quick grab.. I'd forgotton how to work my editor. Fortunately this scene pretty much edited itself.. I had to chop it off pretty fast at the end though. But it works okay.... Thanks Mini....
They say in the commentary that she wouldn't since he was hidden in the shadow, and it really wasn't that memorable of an encounter for Rose at the time.
i am intrigued to find out what the obsession with rose is about, i mean, she will always be my favourite, but it was camille coduri's last scene too you know! :P x
Would of been an even better storyline if when the 9th Doctor first regenerates into David Tennant Rose is like "I swear Ive seen you before?" Then after this scene it flashes back to when they first meet.
is it just me or does this seem a lot like river song, her last meeting but his first, but in this case its her first meeting but his last. :) BUT I STILL LOVE ROSE :(
bring her back for the 50th anniversary!!! PPPPPPPPLLLLLLLLLLLLLLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAASSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This ^ almost made up for the terrible way they wrote Rose off. I didn't mind the first time they did because it left them still in love with each other, like star crossed lovers. But the second time they did they just replaced him. I don't think the character Rose would do that. Honestly, if they'd made it so Rose wasn't able to stay in the other universe anymore for some reason like, it would destroy the time space continum, I would have accepted that.
this is so sad. they were so meant to be. this makes me sad too bc the whole, older man thing. im not into boys my age, im 20. n i just know it's never gonna happen. bc no1 ever stays together, so what makes me think ima be the one u know? if it ever happens, it'll just end in tears. like everyone else
A touching scene that brings me to tears every time sooo sad Rose was my favourite companion and I hope the new writers try and consider these 2 coming bak and I meen the one in the paralel universe And journeying back to wen eccleston regenerated, she wood be in too much shock to say "you look like the drunk bloke I met on new years day" ... just sayin xxx
@xxdrosexx guess it just depends how much of an impression the randum drunk guy gives her. good job he was in the shadows, that would have been really funi tho if Rose had said that... lol xxx
is it just me or does this Rose look way different than Rose in series 1? I mean, I know i know, suspension of belief because Billie Piper's like 5 years older now and stuff. But it's like they didn't even try really... her eyebrow shape and color, and hair color are totally different...
Kayling05 When this was filmed Billie Piper had done a full day's taping of her show at that time secret diary of a call girl and her own hair was cut short and dyed a different color so the gave her as she has said in various panels that awful wig plus by the time she cane back she had already given birth to one son so her body shape had changed dramatically. Hope this helps you in in query? 😎
David tennant and rose were the best no doubt about it but now it's just stupid with Karen Gillan I mean they have that stupid first cut scene with her saying " when I was younger I had an imaginary friend called the doctor blah blah blah and now he is back" it seems as if there would be no doctor without Amy.
i was so glad that she made him smile again, one last time before he regenerated
You can definitely see the Doctor is nearly crying at the end of this. And he only ever cries about Rose. You can tell he never wanted to let her go. :'(
The last ever scene with David and Billie. Heartbreaking. I can safely say Doctor who will NEVER be the same.
The Doctor and Rose make me so happy but they also break my heart. There is something so special and addictive over these two together and i will never get over their seperation. I hope the human Dr and Rose do come back at some time though and Captain Jack too.
i miss rose and the 10th doctor sooo much
this scene was really sweet
xxx

I honestly adored Rose. There was just so much growth stressed in her character, and to see her just leave was heartbreaking.
This scene reminded me not only how much I missed Rose, but how much I missed her mum too.
"Don't stay out all night"
"Try and stop me"
xD
Aww..I always found that when i watched them all giggly/Lovey dovey with each other I'd be all smiley like a loon LOL

So far, 10 years on, you are correct
Yeah! This scene gets me every single time, man...
The one thing I miss about series five and six is the omission of a family. You have Amy and Rory but the family members were always such a big part of the show - Jackie, Mickey and Wilf in particular!
@kfdcl When she hadn't met the doctor yet. She does meet him but it's the 9th she meets first in 2005.
Oh.... this always KILLS me.... He loved her, from the beginning..... & just wanted one more glimpse, before he regenerated. What a sweet, sweet man/alien (LOL).
The first and last face this Doctor saw.
I cry every time I think of the doctor and rose!
THIS BREAKS MY HEART. SHATTERS IT.
@julybutterfly1986 It's from "Doctor Who" 2009 specials The End of time pt2.. Just before The doctor dies...(Again LOL...)
I still cry whenever I see this scene..Hell, I'm crying right now. I just hope the tears don't fry my keyboard. At least it'll be a good cause :'(
I'm happy that the last person he got to see was Rose though. It all started with them and that's how it should end. The tenth Doctor was the best.

Rose is the best. I miss her so much. The Doctor was so in love.
oh.. when I saw this the first time... i was like "don't go there cause i'm so gonna end up crying now". which i did. i never cry at movies.
rose is in series 5 episode lodger in a flashback u can see her in it when the dcotor hit his head aganist the other head so he can show the guy who he really is..

The first and the last... classic Doctor Who..
Awwwwwww :3 so cute. But so sad. I miss Rose, but I don't think they could top this goodbye scene...I like the way they left it.
Of course the last person he wants to see is Rose. Gaaaaah, poor Doctor!! *hugs him*
I'm not gonna cry..... Not gonna cry..... okay I'm crying.
Much better love store then between 11 and River ugh
Would I be alone in thinking that he's just crossed her timeline to say goodbye to her? co's when she sees the 10th doctor for the first time it takes her a while to accept it's him (the 9th changed) but wouldn't this change things for her when she sees him regenerate as she's now met him on 1/1/05?

little did Rose know she was going to end up in the parallel universe forever. lol
@HaydenWiddows the actress who plays sarah jane died a while ago
I wish that Rose could still be with him.....
They say in the commentary that she wouldn't since he was hidden in the shadow, and it really wasn't that memorable of an encounter for Rose at the time.
She told the 9th Doctor that someone told her she was going to have a great year! XD
@xxpocketmonster by other universe I meant this one.
@AnaisForTheWin I don't mean in this scene
i am intrigued to find out what the obsession with rose is about, i mean, she will always be my favourite, but it was camille coduri's last scene too you know! :P x
@SasuSakufan109 U can see her after the cyberman before the ood in the flashback..
Sadly I watched kind of out of order, so seeing this scene didn't hit me as hard watching it the first time. Watching it again, I'm bawling.
Would of been an even better storyline if when the 9th Doctor first regenerates into David Tennant Rose is like "I swear Ive seen you before?" Then after this scene it flashes back to when they first meet.
If she only knew right then and there, who he was.
see ya!! best line you can say at moment like that goddammit xD
is it just me or does this seem a lot like river song, her last meeting but his first, but in this case its her first meeting but his last. :) BUT I STILL LOVE ROSE :(
@xxpocketmonster At least this time the doctor could tell her that he loved her but nnnnnnnoooooooooooo we didn't even get that either. WTF???
They should bring Billie and David back I mean if they wanted to :D but they never will :'(
bring her back for the 50th anniversary!!! PPPPPPPPLLLLLLLLLLLLLLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAASSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Do you really think she's gonna remember some random drunk guy? Especially when he was in the shadows.
This ^ almost made up for the terrible way they wrote Rose off. I didn't mind the first time they did because it left them still in love with each other, like star crossed lovers. Honestly, if they'd made it so Rose wasn't able to stay in the other universe anymore for some reason like, it would destroy the time space continum, I would have accepted that.
I always wondered whether Rose recognized him when he regenerated xD Like, 'Shit, I've seen that man before!'
Yes....
this is so sad. they were so meant to be. this makes me sad too bc the whole, older man thing. im not into boys my age, im 20. n i just know it's never gonna happen. bc no1 ever stays together, so what makes me think ima be the one u know? if it ever happens, it'll just end in tears. like everyone else

omg i cry
I noticed that also.
Of course it's sad, he's about to die, as you see in the rest of the scene.
If Sarah Jane can come back then so can Rose Tyler. :D
"See ya!"
;__;
@xxdrosexx guess it just depends how much of an impression the randum drunk guy gives her. good job he was in the shadows, that would have been really funi tho if Rose had said that... lol xxx
@scumbag64 No...
Didn't Rose come before River? Thus, River is like Rose, not Rose is like River.
The doctor's probably not had much to drink before, it was a crap pretence! lawl. But still cure last scene together!
is it just me or does this Rose look way different than Rose in series 1? I mean, I know i know, suspension of belief because Billie Piper's like 5 years older now and stuff. But it's like they didn't even try really... her eyebrow shape and color, and hair color are totally different...

God I'm sorry but how can you not know where this scene is from if you watched tenant at all?
So was this scene supposed to be set in present day, or when she and the Doctor hadn't met each other yet?
This was the only scene from The End of Time I liked :)
David tennant and rose were the best no doubt about it but now it's just stupid with Karen Gillan I mean they have that stupid first cut scene with her saying " when I was younger I had an imaginary friend called the doctor blah blah blah and now he is back" it seems as if there would be no doctor without Amy.
River & 11? Nah! That love story wasn't that good.
Rose & 10? YES PLEASE!
what is this from?
😌
:'(
Was Billie pregnant during this?
nawwwww
: )
