you're a lifesaver. I literally was searching everywhere for how to get my Apollo Twin X and Behringer UMC 404 to work with my HS8 for two computers. I wish the Mackie had a headphone monitoring input tho cos I have a headphone amp and it'll be somewhat uncomfortable always switching between my two interfaces.
Very nicely done! I have one of these with the intention of switching between two monitor pairs but the volume drop is so much that you can hardly hear them much less compare them. Have you had this issue? Again; great video.
What a piece of actual shit Just got mine this afternoon on this vids recommendation Running Genelec 8030c and Focal twins Gen 7059c sub From Apollo x rack As soon as I plugged it in using all mogami trs Instant hum, loss of clarity and vu Maybe for a home studio with junker monitors But I got just under $15,000 in noise makers Definitely not ruining that sound for a $60 paperweight
Thanks for this tip, Zane! Made me go out and get one right away! Just one question; What is that module with those great VU meters in your rack (in the short video)? I've been looking for some great affordable analog vu meters for my home studio for over a year!. Hope you can help! Thanks, Michael!
The One with two big VU meters is the ART Pro VLAII Stereo Compressor. It's a nice budget friendly Opto compressor. The VU meters can be switched between output and input. There's separate digital meters for the gain reduction. Thank you for watching. Keep creating! 👊👍
Hi Zane, I managed to find an Art Pro VLA II for 330 euro, which was barely used and it looks and functions great. The labeling says it is a leveler amp though, not a compressor. Did I get the wrong one? Thanks, Mike. ❤
Hey, great vid. Question, I’m assuming I can add a vinyl player to one of the inputs right? Will be using an adapter for the RCA to mono 1/4 Inch jacks, and my vinyl player has a built in preamp/line out (it’s the Audio Technica LP60XBT). That would work wouldn’t it? Thanks again
What im looking for is a controller that will allow me to input a stereo mix and route that to at least 6 or 8 speakers (front left/right, center, rear left/right, and sub). Ive been trying to configure 2 interfaces into a aggregate device on mac to to work for this, but havent been having any luck. Is this able to take a single stereo input and output that signal thru all 4 of its outputs? If so, do they have model with more ins/outs?
Idk about other models, but this controller will only have 1 input/output active at the time. Either A or B. Not A AND B simultaneously. You can toggle, mix & match between input A/B and output A/B, but you can't use more than 1 input/output at the same time. I hope that makes sense. You basically have a toggle switch for input and for output. Edit; In short, what you describe isn't possible with this controller

Got mine last year. Love it. The ability to switch the mix to mono with one touch is really helpful
I really like that mono feature too. Thank you for watching. Keep creating! 👊👍

Just gone for one of these without doing homework so breathed a sigh of relief with your positive review - cheers 😎

@Miko1963 levelling amplifier is kind of another term for compressor. You bought the right unit.
Is it doing anything negative to my audio quality because of two different amplifier circuits (interface + big knob)?
Noob here, does this device balance the RCA to the outputs. I'm looking for something just like this. Or will i need a powered one? Thanks in advance.
The one thing I wish it had is the ability to play through both A & B monitors simultaneously. 😕

Thanks
