Another great video, on a very important topic no less. We use the shower ceiling fan when required for odors, which is very effective with the bathroom door closed. I would be interested how much better the SOG is than our solution, apart from the fact that we still need toilet blue.
Hi guys how does the Sog break down the solids like the chems do So no smell when using the toilet awesome but what about when emptying cassette Cheers for any info Great videos love watching them
Ok Im no expert but the ventilator fan runs for 2-3 minuets after use , I understand that this extra air (oxygen) helps break down every thing. We have had no problems emptying the cassette and dont notice anything different than when we were using chemicals... I cant understand why they are not fitted as standard ... Thanks for taking the time to watch, Cheers Greg
With the break in waste do the contents still need to disposed of at a dump point ?...or is it an option when free camping & you're a long way from nowhere to use Terra Firma
We have used a friend's septic tank to dump it but never in the bush. Not sure if thats the approved thing to do ??? , but it does have no chemicals in it and is just raw product ... thanks for watching, See ya out there Cheers Greg and Sandy
Try the smell outside without the filter...and with filter. This filters are usually a very smaaall help... The main reason for the filter is that bugs don't come in. It is still a big ripoff for a small pc fan and a hose.... I understand the benefits but come on...the price is horrible. People should mention that Thetford is a thieve when selling "sog" (they should have made it like this from the beginning).
We haven’t noticed any smell and I have been outside while it’s in use. My understanding is that thetford have designed it as an option an most of the rv manufacturers don’t ask for it to be included.. if they all had this fitted they wouldn’t sell any expensive additive… but your right it’s an expensive kit for what it is. Thanks for sharing you views with everyone cheers Greg
Why bother? We have had our sprinter for 3 years and never had an odor problem and from what I have found the cost for this is like 3-4 hundred dollars. Maybe it's me but it seems like a waste of money.
Yea you make a good point, if it any broke don’t fix it.. but it works well for us and we now don’t use any chemicals in the loo so eventually it will pay for itself . Appreciate you taking the time to comment and thanks for watching cheers Greg and Sandy
