I don’t know the subjects name in English. But domestic science maybe. Whatever you learn how to cook, health, foods affect on the environment and stuff like that.
Walking to school is very common in the U.K. my friend, it is actively encouraged. It’s safe, it’s exercise and usually not to far. For disabled students the Council provides a Taxi at no cost, and there are school buses, both private’s own, for those who don’t want to walk and live to close to don’t qualify for the Free Bus which is paid for by the tax payer for those living a distance away. Hope this helps clear up your question. Remember this is the U.K. we can walk and are not so dependent on the Car 🤓
You want to be a nurse but you don't think kids should walk to school? It's good exercise. Healthy. Better for them. British people walk a lot, you'd better get used to that if you plan to live in the UK.
Most uk schools aren't allowed makeup but we do it anyways. Also in schools the uniform is mainly a shirt, tie, jumper, blazer, skirt or trousers, tights or socks and specific shoes. Also you can get school buses for some schools
Wolverhampton is not in London, it’s in the midlands. Also you won’t see school stuff because you’re not allowed to film in class. Also, secondary school over in the UK is 11-16
In secondary school (11-16) you’ll have a morning break which is about 15-20 mins where you can go to the toilet and hang around with friends outside. Then you have your lunch break which lasts around 1hr. After eating your lunch you’ll just hangout with friends outside until afternoon lessons start EDIT: I left school 11 years ago so timings are probably different now
School transport: if you live more than 3 miles from the school you get free transport - either a special school bus/coach or a bus pass to use on public buses. Pupils who don't get free bus have a choice of taking the bus or walking and spending the 'bus money' their parents have given them on sweets and stuff! So if it's not raining, you walk!
classes are called periods and they are 1 hour long each, the standard structure is: period 1, period 2, break (20 minute recess), period 3, lunch (1 hour), period 4, period 5
Info from friend: No one wares coats to fancy up the uniform, it’s because after primary school, high schools don’t offer a winter jacket. You’re usually given a choice between a polyester or wool blazer, or a wool sweater with no coat at all, most people go with polyester blazer because wool smells like wet dog and takes forever to dry when it rains, and it rains A LOT, you have to ware this thing all day. The blazer itself is actually fairly warm but there’s only two buttons near yours waist that you can fasten leaving most of your torso exposed to the elements, this can switch from wind, to rain, to sun, to hail in a singular day, on an hourly basis. This is on top of it limiting your range of movement particularly as a girl because it makes your skirt ride up. Moral of the story:
Most schools are situated in the middle of a residential area, and it’s just a short walk for the majority of students to get there. Some people get driven by their parents, or some may take a public bus if they live further away. We had a morning break for about 15-20 mins when you could hang out with your friends, and then we also had a lunch hour. My school did have a cafeteria, but I don’t think I ever set foot inside it! We were allowed to leave the school premises at lunch time, so I usually went home for lunch. Other people might walk to the local shops to buy food. It generally wasn’t cool to eat your lunch at school or to hang out in the library!
School shoes are horrific to break in I have scars on the back of my feet from that You don't eat lunch outside? Recess. High school? Secondary school is 11-16 and you don't get to go outside for like breaks during school? We can't go inside. We eat food at break We have 2 lessons in morning break 2 lessons then lunch then one more lesson for me
In Britain u wear coats because most of the time it’s rainy , windy or has rained last night Also they most likely aren’t walking to school in the woods as someone who lives in the uk they are most likely just in a normal area
1) There if 4 Main types of uk houses 2) Trails are really common in the uk, every town has a few nature reserves 3) We do have school busses, and public transport gives student discounts. some people prefer to walk 4) people like to hang in the bathroom because there is no teachers and you can use your phone there. we are not allowed our phones out in school 5) we have things called prefects and teachers don’t roam the halls unless they need something. They have their own classroom 6) Her friend group is the popular/chav 7) Crazy hair colours are restricted in uniform, although some schools allow some 8) our ties are clip on, not tied around 9) this is secondary school. year 10 or 11 d say 10) We don’t have to wear them shoes, we can wear what we want asking as it’s not a trainer/sneaker
11) it’s not recess, we can just bring things to dinner time and go on the facilities 12) that period of going outside was probaly just the half an hour waiting for the other years to finish their dinner 13) She was just probaly vlogging their intermission of walking between classrooms and her breaks 14) we get 2 breaks - 2 lessons break, 2 lessons dinner, last lesson

4:41 there are these things called Zip/oyster cards. It allows school children to get the bus to school if they want. Some people just prefer to walk. Edit: People with disabilities can go in a mini-bus if they have documentation. 5:45 Students aren’t allowed in the halls most of the time so they’ll get in trouble if they do. And we don’t have passing periods either. 7:15 we can’t have dyed hair. 7:51 This school is a secondary school.
Most secondary schools will have a morning break (maybe 20 mins) and a lunch break (an hour or more), so maybe 2-2-4 or 2-3-3 (total of 8 lessons). Lunch break may be staggered. There will usually be a canteen with hot meals, salad bar, sandwiches, about £2.50 for a main meal and vegetables. Chips are only served twice a week and are not regarded as a vegetable.
Those big estate looking houses are usually split between 2/3 households. Don’t be fooled by downtown Abby that’s like 1% of the population, you wouldn’t find a manor like that in a local town 😂
I forgot people didn't walk to school in America we walk WALKING I have to walk through a forest a muddy trail and a park which takes about 30 minutes at 8 am disabled people can get out on a special bus
We don’t have dedicated school buses as a rule, most would be contract hire from a coach/bus company which is normally arranged by the county council, as for who can catch the bus for free they need to live at least 2 miles away from the school. As far as I’m aware most schools still have a cafeteria but you have the option of bringing your own lunch if it open with COVID is another matter. When I was at school many moons ago we had a 15 minute morning break, 45 minutes lunch break then another 15 minute afternoon break, how their days are structured is likely to be different.
Schools do have transport, mainly the secondary. They have huge buses that come and bring people and some schools have mini busses with their school logo on to transport the students They aren't necessarily allowed to film in class rooms. It is banned. The outside part was a break youd have in between the morning periods you give you a break from studying Then you'll be back in lessons for another 2 hours and then your lunch then back into lessons for 2 hours then home In my school it goes: Form- for 20 minutes Lesson 1- for 100 minutes Break- for 15 minutes Lesson 2- for 100 minutes Lunch- for 35 minutes Lesson 3- for 100 minutes Then home
i'm not sure you'd be sweating, here. even the most southerly point of the UK is further north than the border between the US and Canada. the only time it gets hot is during the summer vacation.
the reason you didnt see a clasroom is because the uk is very strict with phone rules in schools so if they had a phone out in lesson it would be confiscated and sometimes not given back untill the day after
Probably the reason that there is no footage in a classroom is because they look at the age to be in an important year where they have to focus in class but also the majority of schools in England don’t let you have your phones out ever and the ones that do restrict it to only lunch and break :)
When u go to school, u have to leave around 7 in the morning when it’s freezing! SOME homes are small, most of them are quite big or bigger than ur picturing. If ur in walking distance, u don’t have to to take the bus. The bathroom is the only place that u can hide ur phone from the teachers and they probably in there at lunch or break where u have ab 20 - 40 minutes. Primary = 5-11 yo I think. Secondary = 11-16 yo. U don’t wear uniform during college or uni. There IS a cafeteria where we can buy food but there is also an option to bring ur own food. Hope this helps.
The UK don't have a school bus like America does. In the UK some high schools will own one or two minibuses seating 9 to 17 people and these are for small outings like for school sports matches with other schools. Outings to move a whole class or more are much rarer and typically when that happens the school will just charter a private bus tour company to provide the relevant number of buses for the day. In my experience these buses are really high quality and much more comfortable than a local bus route bus. In regards to transporting kids to and from school if you live within a certain radius you are expected to walk or a parent drives you a lot closer first. Outside of the special radius you can apply for a bus pass where you will be assigned a collection and drop off point that will be in walking distance from your house. This bus service is done under contract with a local bus company with the local council and not by the school directly. These buses are not exclusive for school use and will have a full working day if the company can find them jobs. Though I noticed this last year that some buses would spend the day parked in the schools bus park. You better hope you live in the right catchment area for your school or you can't get the bus. I know some kids who had to move a couple of miles to be with their grandparents after their mother died of cancer moving them just slightly out of the catchment area. The father having hung himself when the mother was first diagnosed with cancer years earlier, she was a fighter and hung on for years. The grandmother had a huge bureaucratic fight to get the bus pass even though the collection point was closer to the new house than the old house. Council initially wanted kids who had just lost their mother to also lose their friends by moving to a different school. It was crazy!
Here in the UK, most schools do have their own buses, but some students decide to walk. Also, During a school day we have break (in the morning) and then lunch (in the afternoon) which split up the 5-6 lessons we have per day. And we have nursery, primary school, high school/secondary school, college/sixth form and then university. nursery is for 3-4 yr olds, primary for 4-11 yr olds, high for 11-16 yr olds and so on.
My secondary school was hell on earth like most british schools its horrible n we usually wear coats/jackets because the UK is very cold not nice personally id wesr my uniform with a hoodie and my blazer over my hoodie kept me nice n warm
All schools have school buses it just depends on how far from the school u live, as u saw the school was surrounded by houses so u could live quite close in walking distance, those students would have been in secondary school and we have a morning break, lunch break and afternoon break, u may also have free periods depending on ur time table and what year u are in.
I don’t know any schools which have exclusive buses for transport to and from school, as another comment said unless you mean the mini vans used for driving to events or competitions. Speaking especially for London, everyone is either driven walks, or uses public transport (or a combo) here as far as I know.
just becasue you didnt see in this vlog like a school bus doesnt mean there isnt one! a lot of people walk to school as they live nearby but some people who like 30+ mins away get different buses
We use public transport buses to get to school (well I did) or if you live close enough you walk to school. It looked like those girls lived close enough so they just walked to school. They also looked like they were in year 9 (14 years old) or year 10 (15 years old) of secondary school based on how they looked with all the make up and stuff. Year 11 (16 years old) is the final year. In secondary schools we don’t have recess, we have breaks after two of three lessons. If they’re playing football that’s because they want to, football isn’t seen as just a small kids game in the uk. Phones are limited in lessons so she wouldn’t have been Able to film in a lesson the way you thought/hoped she would have.
Not all schools have the same rules, mine was quite strict, as it was an all girls catholic grammar school. No makeup, only natural hair colour, some of us used to try our luck, but we’d either get detention or sent out to remove make up or sent home to change our hair. No coats in our classes, no extra accessories and shirts must be tucked in. No phone at all though out the duration of a school day. Lol to be honest phones weren’t really a thing for us when I was at school. Toilets is the place to go if you want to break a few rules. Also no all schools have ties, mine didn’t.
your not going to see any lesson stuff in these youtube vlogs we aren't allowed and the kids at this school are anywhere from 11 to 16 also there is a school bus for people who dont live within walking distance and there is a cafeteria for food some secondary schools only have a lunch break some have two breaks one in the morning and then lunch or one after lunch and some times they might have all three
The reason you don’t see any bright hair colour is because (at my school at least) if you dye your hair something that isn’t natural and can’t wash it out by the next school day then you’ll be put in isolation until the colour is gone Also at my school your not allowed any form of jewellery unless it is related to religion and if you wear it they can take it of you and you would have to wait until they decide to return it Also you’re not meant to wear coats or jumpers around the school but most people do it anyway And practically everyone finds a way to modify the uniform by year 8 (12-13) years old and lots of people in the older years don’t care about uniform anymore and just argue with the teachers to get out of changing it to fit how the school wants the to wear it (This is all based on my own experience and how my school works)
I'm only in my 30s and walking to school was normal in the UK when I was a kid. In general it would take me 20-30 minutes to walk to school and most of the people I knew did the same. Sun, rain or snow/ice didn't make any difference, if you were late you would get a de-merit and repeated lateness resulted in detention. The worst days were when we had cooking class (we had to carry our ingredients) and P.E ( we had to carry our equipment) on the same day as that was quite heavy. No one whined about this as it was normal and I can't see how it did us any harm, quite the contrary, I think it's a good thing. Maybe one reason the UK has started to follow the USA in regards to our rates of childhood obesity is that modern parents drive the kids to school (or the kids get the bus). Buses were available when I went to school but only for those who lived too far away or because the student was disabled.
we dont have school buses in the uk,we take public busses. Also a lot fo schools in the uk are pretty close to resiential areas, a lot even in residential areas, so people not to far will jsut walk.
In UK there is no personal school transportation you have to walk, catch public bus , public train/ tube if you have to or get drooped of but everything is so close in the uk that it would usually not be a very long walk anyway
Schools have moved to another planet since my time. Teachers used to use discipline that would lead to legal action nowadays. We once tried a winter without resetting the clocks. (British Standard Time) That meant riding a bike to school in the dark (cold, wet, hailstones)
In UK secondary schools you also have 6 forms such are if you don't want to go to college or uni you do 6 form and you wear whatever you want but it needs to be smart/formal clothing . In my secondary they are strict you forgot your blazer detention you wore your trainers instead of your shoes detention you come late detention you forgot your planner/journal detention journal/planner is so you can no your classes and write when homework is due and notes etc if you forgot PFL detention PFL-pencil case, calculater, ruler, pen, pencil, highlighter, angle thingy to measure angles, science calculator that can also be regular calculator and science calculator in one
they might be in the bathroom because its their break. Im british and sometimes we do that if its too cold outside or something as in the corridoors theres still some classes going on and we get in trouble for being too loud.
British school buses are basically just old public buses that aren't used for general public anymore, mine was a green 30 year old monstrosity. Just so you public transport works on a franchise system with with private companies running the busses everywhere outside of London so busses can vary quite a bit around the country.
Toilet clip at start was before class. "Recess" was short morning break between periods, then lunch and then after school. She wouldnt be aloud to film in class. Of course schools provide busses but if you are close enough then you walk. All schools have cafeterias.
Depending on how old they are, they might have had a free period. Don't know if this is all schools, but most of us turned up at school at around half eight then messed around until form (I think you call it home room?) started at quarter to nine. Then a 20 minutes break time after eleven, then a fifty minute lunch break sometime after 1. You can't really have your phone out in lessons, so I doubt she'd video any of them. Only the bits during breaks away from the eyes of teachers.
I’m British an um we get detention if we have our phone out in school so you can only go on them at lunch when the teachers aren’t looking! And that’s the tea of being British 💅🏻
We do have buses for people in need and most ppl walk as it’s quite common, this school also looks like a secondary school ( ages 11-16). Also, in secondary school (atleast mine) there’s break and lunch, both usually outside.
so basically in our schools (at least most of them) if we get caught with our phones out at any time we get them confiscated. thats why you dont often see footage from outside the toilets. to clear any confusion we start anywhere from 8;15 to 9:00, then we typically have p1 (an hour) p2, break (most schools vary, so anywhere from 15 minutes to 30 minutes) then p3 and p4,then lunch (from around 30 minutes- 1 hour) then p5 and some schools p6. thats just my school tho, its probably different for most. also we aret typically allowed to hang about in the hallways, nd at my school you get a break time detention if you are hanging about inside, so that may well be the case for them too
We have school busses and a cafeteria for sure lol, at the start of the day we walk round the school then go in for form (registration) then we have break (recess) and then lunch and we can go outside during lunch too
All schools have school buses. But people are not compelled to take them. Local authorities have a legal obligation to provide transport. In some cases that means they’ll get the student a taxi (for instance if disabled). There are strict rules against using phones in class in most schools. Which as of last month, have been backed by the government itself. Hence why it’s likely that we’re not seeing classes. In terms of breaks. There is normally a 15 min break in the morning (or less) which also allows for people to get to next class. Followed by an hour at lunch.
Nah the layers are a hassle to put on but when it gets cold you don't care 😂😭 it's the most annoying when it's pe and you gotta change back into your uniform
Been a while since i was in school but at least when i was going most didn't have actual school buses, to get to school you either walked, parents dropped you off or you took public transport like a bus or a train. Only schools i remember having their own buses were the private ones. Not sure if this is the same now or if this is representative of the rest of the UK but that's my experience.
I'm southwest and where I am the local bus companies supplie schools with some buses, I'm guessing for those who live further out or there's school bus passes, they came out as I was leaving school lol (been a while )
We don’t really have school buses in the uk as most people live in walking radius of there school or are able to drive there . In my opinion it’s rare people travel far on there own for high school but it is very common when you go to college
We don’t have many school busses in the UK, especially in cities. Also, yeah, for some reason teenage girls are always hanging out in the toilets, and there’s time to do that at break (15-25 mins in the morning) and lunch (40 mins to an hour). Depending on the school you might not have many places you can go at lunch or break except outside or to the lunch hall, but usually those aren’t big enough to hang out in and it’s common to not be allowed to eat a packed lunch in there if a private contractor is providing the food.
They’re definitely in secondary school (high school). Universities don’t have uniforms (most anyway). This reminds me how much I hated secondary school.
I lived about 15min walk to school, few bus stops, most of the time I walked along the road but I lived near a big field with woods behind it, me and my bro and friends would walk through the woods sometimes. The quickest way home was across the school field, across couple small fields and then either onto the road or through the woods, even tho we wernt really allowed the leave that school that way lol. Where I live the kids can get school buses put on by local bus companies and there are bus passes for kids aswell.
School buses in the UK are a funny subject since we don't have actual school buses like the US instead a lot of schools just hire out a set of public or private company buses my school personally uses a company called "Johnson Bros Tours". Also most students in the UK walk to school since most of them are within walking distance the only time people catch the school bus is if the walk exceeds 20-30 mins.
In school, you'd have break, which was maybe at 10:00 - 10:30, and then you'd have lunch which was at around 12:30 - 1:00. Depending on what year (grade) you're in, it would change times to stop it from getting too crowded. Most schools have 45 mins for lunch, but my school was failing so they gave us less time for lunch and more time working. (yay...) Most people just walk to and from school. Usually, you have to pay for transportation yourself, but if you're on welfare you can get a discount. You can also get cheaper tickets if you're younger. Also, in my city if you're physically disabled you can have a free minibus ride that comes directly to your house Every school has a cafeteria/canteen, where you can buy food. Again, if you're struggling financially you'll get free lunches. You can also bring your own lunch if you'd prefer, but school lunches were pretty nice in my old school so I didn't.
My school doesn’t have busses so I walk half an hour to school the time when their outside is what we call beak and at my school we have to be outside and at my school we’re not allowed phones so that might be why they can’t vlog in halls or class 💕
For me it was nursery, primary and academy(high school). Primary and high school we had 15 mins in morning 60mins lunch and 15mins afternoon break. We had school busses but everybody walked with their friends. For me high school was maybe about 30mins walk with friends having a laugh. My high school the girls bathrooms was where everybody hung out and smoked😂🤷♂️. Never seen a hall monitor other than the simpsons 😂
It's defo secondary school 11/12yrs - 18yrs (was 16yrs), not sure what the rules are these days but there were boundaries for makeup and jewellery (I was a tomboy at school)
We normally can get just random buses for the public which are normally stagecoach or uno buses though so we do have some form of transportation and some people get trains lmfao
UK and European kids usually either walk, take public buses or bike to schools. There is no dedicated buses. We don't need them. Walking is good especially in winter. It's healthy and keep the bloods pumping. Walking through the woods, it's perfectly safe. It's all about self-awareness. I think the uniforms are quite smart. Saves having to decide everyday on what to wear and students won't judge what you have or have not. Which is a plus!
at my school, there are no buses unless u want to pay for a normal bus but for kids who live really far or their parents can’t take them, the school organises taxis for them but most people drive or walk to school 😼
as sum1 in a uk school , the toilets bit was prob b4 school acc started because sum schools will open b4 actual form time . the next bit was break. my break lasts 11 mins but it varies on which school u go to , the lunch bit .you can have free school meals provided by the government or a packed lunch . we have about 6 ish lessons a day ( changes in diff schools) the walking through woods b4 school is also sum i do 😂 like next to the school we have a deep forest that most of the time is where my school holds their paggas (fights)
I live 3 miles away from school and have to walk, schools don't really do buses unless you are disabled or going from one site to the other (my school has an East and a west site) and about 80% of people walk 1-3 miles to school so it's normal tbh
Too normal to walk through the woods to school here lol You got primary school that ends at like 10-11 And secondary school is 11-15 if u go in to 6th form it ends at like 18 Lol
As a guy from the UK I can confirm that are secondary schools can be interesting to say the least. Also the UK doesn't have the yellow school buses you have in America so either your parents take you to school, you take a minibus to school if you live in a different towns or far from the school or you can use public transport. Also we do have lessons in British schools but you're not allowed to have your phones out in lessons(the teachers will confiscate your phone if they see them).
if you live too far from school, the school will give you a public bus pass so you can get transport on a daily. some schools in my area ( not mine ) have coaches for students who live far, that’s transport to and from school. you can choose to walk, bike ride, busses or taxis to school. in the uk the schools aren’t usually that far, for me it’s only a 10-15 minute walk through a graveyard. other than that the school offers money for busses if your parents are struggling and you live far, but it’s not a long walk and especially not with friends. walking to school is one of my favourite parts of the day lol
Whats your fav subject in school?! 🤔 like the video! 👍🏾

School transport: if you live more than 3 miles from the school you get free transport - either a special school bus/coach or a bus pass to use on public buses. Mine is similar, period 1, period 2, break- 20 mins, period 3, period 4, lunch- 1 hour, period 5
y’all are so lucky u have recess/break. we have p1-4 then 1 hr lunch and then p5-6. Sometimes we even have p7
Many of us walk to school through woods and parks - especially out in the suburbs. Most would-be attacks come from the students in the school(!)
Some schools have hoddies but they are rare nicho in Bedworth has a school hoodie
School shoes are horrific to break in I have scars on the back of my feet from that
You don't eat lunch outside?
Recess. High school? Secondary school is 11-16 and you don't get to go outside for like breaks during school? We can't go inside.
We eat food at break
We have 2 lessons in morning break 2 lessons then lunch then one more lesson for me
In Britain u wear coats because most of the time it’s rainy , windy or has rained last night
Also they most likely aren’t walking to school in the woods as someone who lives in the uk they are most likely just in a normal area
1) There if 4 Main types of uk houses
2) Trails are really common in the uk, every town has a few nature reserves
3) We do have school busses, and public transport gives student discounts. some people prefer to walk
4) people like to hang in the bathroom because there is no teachers and you can use your phone there. we are not allowed our phones out in school
5) we have things called prefects and teachers don’t roam the halls unless they need something. They have their own classroom
6) Her friend group is the popular/chav
7) Crazy hair colours are restricted in uniform, although some schools allow some
8) our ties are clip on, not tied around
9) this is secondary school. year 10 or 11 d say
10) We don’t have to wear them shoes, we can wear what we want asking as it’s not a trainer/sneaker
11) it’s not recess, we can just bring things to dinner time and go on the facilities
12) that period of going outside was probaly just the half an hour waiting for the other years to finish their dinner
13) She was just probaly vlogging their intermission of walking between classrooms and her breaks
14) we get 2 breaks - 2 lessons break, 2 lessons dinner, last lesson
Hope this helps :)

Lucky, my lunch break was half an hour
Total of 8 lessons is a stretch😂. I had a total of 5 lessons per day
If you have 8 lessons a day you must have really short lessons. At my school we have 2 hour but occasionally 1 and 3 hour lessons.
@@masonkelly5107 did you take into account double periods, "Shite, I've got double maths this afternoon!"
@@AndrewHalliwell yh it would still be a total of 5 periods in a day for me
Those big estate looking houses are usually split between 2/3 households.
Canteen, we have canteens not cafeterias!
Oooo cafeteria, la di da.
We don’t have middle school in the uk it’s literally just secondary school
almost everyone walks to school or takes the local bus.
School busses in uk are only for villages out of town, like 3+
miles away
Schools do have transport, mainly the secondary. They have huge buses that come and bring people and some schools have mini busses with their school logo on to transport the students
They aren't necessarily allowed to film in class rooms. It is banned.
The outside part was a break youd have in between the morning periods you give you a break from studying
Then you'll be back in lessons for another 2 hours and then your lunch then back into lessons for 2 hours then home
In my school it goes:
Form- for 20 minutes
Lesson 1- for 100 minutes
Break- for 15 minutes
Lesson 2- for 100 minutes
Lunch- for 35 minutes
Lesson 3- for 100 minutes
Then home

i'm not sure you'd be sweating, here. even the most southerly point of the UK is further north than the border between the US and Canada. the only time it gets hot is during the summer vacation.
the reason you didnt see a clasroom is because the uk is very strict with phone rules in schools so if they had a phone out in lesson it would be confiscated and sometimes not given back untill the day after
Probably the reason that there is no footage in a classroom is because they look at the age to be in an important year where they have to focus in class but also the majority of schools in England don’t let you have your phones out ever and the ones that do restrict it to only lunch and break :)
All school? I don't know a single school that have buses. Unless you mean them mini van for after school sports tournament? 🧐🤨
Mine didn't aha
@@gdotace where do u live that might explain ur lack of buses
@@sarahealey1780 school. Bus? you mean public transport.
It doesn't hurt to walk to school for 20 minutes-
When they're playing footy, it isn't recess it's still just lunch
you're not allowed on your phone in class, that's why there were no clips of lessons. the bit when they were outside was b4 school or at breaktime :)
Everyone hangs out in the bathroom because its the only place you can use your phone without getting caught XD
Mate the forest near mine that I walk through to get to school has had so many stabbings and ppl getting burned n’ shit 😂 and now there’s a flasher
your not going to see any lesson stuff in these youtube vlogs we aren't allowed and the kids at this school are anywhere from 11 to 16 also there is a school bus for people who dont live within walking distance and there is a cafeteria for food some secondary schools only have a lunch break some have two breaks one in the morning and then lunch or one after lunch and some times they might have all three
The reason you don’t see any bright hair colour is because (at my school at least) if you dye your hair something that isn’t natural and can’t wash it out by the next school day then you’ll be put in isolation until the colour is gone
Also at my school your not allowed any form of jewellery unless it is related to religion and if you wear it they can take it of you and you would have to wait until they decide to return it
Also you’re not meant to wear coats or jumpers around the school but most people do it anyway
And practically everyone finds a way to modify the uniform by year 8 (12-13) years old and lots of people in the older years don’t care about uniform anymore and just argue with the teachers to get out of changing it to fit how the school wants the to wear it
(This is all based on my own experience and how my school works)
We dont have middle school, just primary and high school
There are a few middle schools in the uk
Schools have moved to another planet since my time.
Teachers used to use discipline that would lead to legal action nowadays.
We once tried a winter without resetting the clocks. (British Standard Time)
That meant riding a bike to school in the dark (cold, wet, hailstones)
'educatiing York shyer' IM CRHING IS YORKSHEER
they might be in the bathroom because its their break. Im british and sometimes we do that if its too cold outside or something as in the corridoors theres still some classes going on and we get in trouble for being too loud.
The reason you didn’t see and school stuff would be because we aren’t allowed phones out during lessons.
Just don't get caught or don't go to detention, simple things in life 😂
We do have buses for people in need and most ppl walk as it’s quite common, this school also looks like a secondary school ( ages 11-16).
Also, in secondary school (atleast mine) there’s break and lunch, both usually outside.
Most people i know walk or bike to school, but you can get a bus that is usually part of a contract with the school
so basically in our schools (at least most of them) if we get caught with our phones out at any time we get them confiscated. thats why you dont often see footage from outside the toilets. to clear any confusion we start anywhere from 8;15 to 9:00, then we typically have p1 (an hour) p2, break (most schools vary, so anywhere from 15 minutes to 30 minutes) then p3 and p4,then lunch (from around 30 minutes- 1 hour) then p5 and some schools p6. thats just my school tho, its probably different for most. also we aret typically allowed to hang about in the hallways, nd at my school you get a break time detention if you are hanging about inside, so that may well be the case for them too
Yeah the toilets are like the number one hang-out spot for girls in the UK, that’s where all the bunking goes on too
We have school busses and a cafeteria for sure lol, at the start of the day we walk round the school then go in for form (registration) then we have break (recess) and then lunch and we can go outside during lunch too
No yellow school buses in the UK, & kids rarely live far from their schools in urban areas like Wolverhampton. I could walk to school in 15 minutes.
I'd say they look like year 11 students, which would be your 10th grade
I'm southwest and where I am the local bus companies supplie schools with some buses, I'm guessing for those who live further out or there's school bus passes, they came out as I was leaving school lol (been a while )
Tax free weekend? That's wild! In the UK children's clothes are tax free always, but not school supplies like glue sticks or rulers or anything.
We don’t really have school buses in the uk as most people live in walking radius of there school or are able to drive there . In my opinion it’s rare people travel far on there own for high school but it is very common when you go to college
Most UK public transport is free for children, but dedicated school buses are uncommon and usually in scattered rural communities.
The thing is you can rarely get sweaty in the uk so the uniform is actually pretty decent at keeping us warm
They look like they only live 5 or 10 minutes away from school so that's why walk to school
(yay...)
Most people just walk to and from school. Usually, you have to pay for transportation yourself, but if you're on welfare you can get a discount. You can also get cheaper tickets if you're younger. Also, in my city if you're physically disabled you can have a free minibus ride that comes directly to your house
Every school has a cafeteria/canteen, where you can buy food.
In da uk you walk like half an hour to get to school or take a public bus I know as I quite literally experience this
we have nursery, primary school (up till 11), secondary school (12-16), college (16-18) and university (after 18)
Wolverhampton isn't in London...
We’re usually not allowed any ‘unnatural’ hair colours or more than one piercing until we’re 16 or finished year 11
For me it was nursery, primary and academy(high school).
Most UK schools don't allow make up.
This looks like a college then a school but lots school dont allow it
Unless they are 16 in most schools
It's defo secondary school 11/12yrs - 18yrs (was 16yrs), not sure what the rules are these days but there were boundaries for makeup and jewellery (I was a tomboy at school)
“Wheres the school bus” we dont have them 💀
We normally can get just random buses for the public which are normally stagecoach or uno buses though so we do have some form of transportation and some people get trains lmfao
You're not allowed to use phones in class, they'll just be taken
at my school, there are no buses unless u want to pay for a normal bus but for kids who live really far or their parents can’t take them, the school organises taxis for them but most people drive or walk to school 😼
THATS A BIKESHED NOT A BUS STATION!!!!!
The reason they hang out in the bathroom is because the teachers will get them and they also go on there phones in there that's a other reason
as sum1 in a uk school , the toilets bit was prob b4 school acc started because sum schools will open b4 actual form time . the next bit was break. my break lasts 11 mins but it varies on which school u go to , the lunch bit .you can have free school meals provided by the government or a packed lunch . we have about 6 ish lessons a day ( changes in diff schools) the walking through woods b4 school is also sum i do 😂 like next to the school we have a deep forest that most of the time is where my school holds their paggas (fights)
Wolverhampton aint in London. its a city right near Birmingham
I always walked to school, from age 5 to 17. The winter I'd have gloves, scarf and earmuffs on! Lol
as a British, our schools get cramped, as I'm in one of the most popular schools in my area/County.
I live 3 miles away from school and have to walk, schools don't really do buses unless you are disabled or going from one site to the other (my school has an East and a west site) and about 80% of people walk 1-3 miles to school so it's normal tbh
I feel dat on a personal level
Too normal to walk through the woods to school here lol
You got primary school that ends at like 10-11
And secondary school is 11-15 if u go in to 6th form it ends at like 18
Lol
As a guy from the UK I can confirm that are secondary schools can be interesting to say the least. Also the UK doesn't have the yellow school buses you have in America so either your parents take you to school, you take a minibus to school if you live in a different towns or far from the school or you can use public transport. Also we do have lessons in British schools but you're not allowed to have your phones out in lessons(the teachers will confiscate your phone if they see them).
So brilliant 😂😂😂not many yanks could last an hour
Why would you be scared of walking through the woods during daytime? At night maybe if there’s only a couple of you
There no middle school buddy.
if you live too far from school, the school will give you a public bus pass so you can get transport on a daily. some schools in my area ( not mine ) have coaches for students who live far, that’s transport to and from school. you can choose to walk, bike ride, busses or taxis to school. in the uk the schools aren’t usually that far, for me it’s only a 10-15 minute walk through a graveyard. other than that the school offers money for busses if your parents are struggling and you live far, but it’s not a long walk and especially not with friends. walking to school is one of my favourite parts of the day lol
