- Yet again, Iam very grateful that a watch manufacturer has allowed me to get hands on with one of their watches.
Nordgreen are a relatively new brand based out of Copenhagen in Denmark, they are extremely proud of their Nordic identity and the efforts they take to be sustainable and socially responsible, they have recyclable packaging and buying one of their watches will help to support one of several charities.
Nordgreen's watch designer Jakob Wagner has designed several watches all of which might be considered minimalist, the question is are the watches any good, or are Nordgreen relying to heavily on a market of wannabe benefactors and do gooders, be sure to watch the full review before making up your own mind.
I will be giving the Nordgreen Pioneer Chronograph away to one lucky viewer in a forthcoming video, if your a fan of the Nordgreen lineup and want to get your hands on one sooner then please click the following link :

Thanks for this review. I purchased one after seeing this and am really happy with it. Quality in person is great for a watch at this price point and the case shape is really well done. Some viewing issues with reflections on the curved sapphire crystal, but nothing really annoying, and the curved shape of the crystal adds a really nice level if refinement. Delivery was 3 days from Denmark to the US.
If I had the Nordgreen again, I would choose the white dial for clarity
@Last Watch thank you for that response! I was contemplating which dial to choose: white or black. Initially, I considered the white ones, but seeing lots of people using black dials I started to ponder.
That is a sweet piece. Love the whole company concept.
Great review thanks. No mention of lume and judging from your video it doesn't look like there is any. I think for the price if they'd added an automatic movement, some anti-reflective coating to the sapphire crystal, and decent lume, this would be a good buy....
Those tweaks would certainly make it a better watch
You are completely right, the minimalism for the minimalism sake puts it straight into fashion watch territory. But I can't deny I appreciate its design and wouldn't mind wearing it to the office daily
Wouldn’t be a watch I would choose but I appreciate the design and attention to detail.. great video as always 😂
This is exciting! I can’t wait for the results!!
Not crazy about this particular watch...but I do appreciate your channel...keep up the good work...your vids are very well done!
Thanks Jeff, the benefit of reviewing watches I haven't bought is to look at them objectively
Hands on the navy dial one are difficult to see even in normal lighting conditions
Disappointed to hear that
You mention “Nomos on a budget” which is exactly what I’m looking for...what watches would you recommend fit that description?
I have another watch for review that might fit your needs, it’s from Lilienthal Berlin, hope to have a review in the next 2 weeks
Yes indeed. I have 2 of thm and very happy
A nice looking timepiece, which seems to be solidly built.
It's always going to be difficult for a new company to break into a vastly crowded market, when the sector they've chosen is crammed full of big brands and generic movements.
Their charity USP is what sets them apart, but it's it going to be strong enough, for them to be able to carve their niche?
Overall, the watch needs to be able to stand the test of time (no pun intended), and be revisited in 6 months or so.
Tony Hill I plan to give this watch away, the new owner will have to give me an update
@@LastWatch I love showing off my watches, so count me in 😉👍
Tony Hill details in my next upload and insta in the next week or so
@@LastWatch would love to hear an update.. I'm curious if the brands watch models are worth their looks or will the watch stop working after a week or two..
@@LastWatch I've heard there are made in Hong Kong which worries me that it's just a different concept of what Vincero and mvmt brands are doing
Used your code to purchase a Pioneer. Should arrive soon. Thanks.
I’m pleased it’s still working, what colour did you go for
Deciding on the color took me the longest. I figured I had too many dark watches that I opted for the white in silver stainless.
How much is the watch ? This particular model
@@Smoothtlknwhtboi so how did it go? Still using the watch? Happy with the colour?
@@James-lw3gi yes still happy with the watch. Went for the white dial black strap. It’s not my daily wear but I still break it out
How did you turn it on??
are you referring to the chrono hand
Hi! Do you have the black or navy ? They seem so close.
This was the black dial
Thank you for the discount code 👍🏼
It still works ?
@@LastWatch it did work 😄
I like this watch.
Interesting time piece. I like it. Thanks for sharing.
WARNING: The watchbands have cheap dye that will stain your shirts.
I'll go sleeveless
Initially, I was excited to recieve my Pioneer watch, but it stopped working in a few months. Very disappointing
Were you covered under warranty
A very concise and considered review as always. Nice introduction to the brand and I would agree probably not for serious watch people but as you say perfect for a first watch/gift. I know a stack of people who would love the ethos and price point.
For me the case design, namely the side aspect is most interesting.
I would seriously be tempted with a white dial version, but given my love of bigger watches, it would need to be 44mm at least.
Thanks Phillip, your words are much appreciated
Very nice watch! It would look great with my suits.
Am I the only person who thinks these are really nice I want the white one with the blue nato strap
A R I think the lighter dials work better than the black
Thank you ROBOT.
Just looks a bit....Ali baba, aside from the unusual case design and domed crystal
Ali Baba is Arabic for thief, did you mean Aliexpress
Last Watch there’s an alibaba site too, but Ali express would be same point....
its the same company isn't it? one for consumer and one for mass production?
Reese Calden that makes sense
Is the quality there in the watchers there?
is that a chrono without any numbers?
uhhh
Hugo HOM Maybe a bit to minimalist
Makes no sense
Eh. I wouldn't use it when I HAD to be exact, but for timing my coffee, exact enough for me.
Nordgreen Pioneer sounds like a static caravan.
Bryan Battista More likely one of those mobile homes that travels at 35mph on an a single carriageway A road, just to ruin your day
I really like the look of this watch, very cool.
Sorry......not even if it were free.
I'm giving it away
Hoq to open front grass to repair this watch
Not sure its worth the expense of a repair
Cool man.
Maybe it's designed in Denmark but country of origin is China... 🙄
My sundial is greener than this.
Design of all wathes are impressive but why the company nordgreen not considering to add hybrid watch futures such garmin vivo move, fossil or wethings or skagen watches. Definettly will destroy the market with these uniqe designes…
I think you may be pulling my leg
Nearly $300 and they can't even include a watch box? Hmm...I'm also not buying the charity angle, after all, I'm looking to buy time.
Nordgreen is not a good idear to buy.
It's just a overpriced china watch.
And no service when you have a problem.
My advise buy a real watch, you can get a much better deal for that price.
Check out my latest review on the Nordgreen Philisopher
Imagine if someone oil filled this...
It might kill the battery
£100 too pricey. Also the hour hand looks stunted.
amcluesent I think they could have taken the wind turbine reference a bit further with the hands
Useless review when you don't show what is inside in terms of the actual guts of the watch..
Very rare to see the movement in a watch review, unless it has a display caseback. I’m a big fan of top gear, I reckon I can count on one hand how many times they’ve lifted the bonnet to look at the engine
Buddy we see how the watch looks. No need to say the bottom is flat, simple elongated stickhands, tip is red.. You're eating our time.
Cut to the chase and start talking about what we can't figure out looking at it.
Brutal
@@LastWatch He's got a point.
I have this epically crap watch. Don't buy one.
Strong words, they approached me to review another watch but I didnt like their tactics
@@LastWatch Sorry, good channel.
no, its not a worthy watch, don't do it fella! your good presentation is wasted on this excrement. ta for the vids
