Dumbledore was revealed by Rowling to be gay in a Q&A session, and that he was in love with Grindleward before their falling out, but she didn't say if his feeling where returned. It was not mentioned in the books, only subtly hinted at. She goes on to say that after Grindelward, he became more or less A-sexual after the the scarring experiences he had in that relationship

That's why at one part of his life, he hated muggles, because of his love for Gellert Grindelwald, who was as dangerous as voldemort. He was a guy. But, Dumbledore changed his view on muggles and defeated Gellert Grindelwald.
