This is a great video. And the reframing of the negative comments. It’ll help a lot of future founders from giving up. Keep going! Can’t wait to see the rest of the journey.
I really hope this guy makes it. You’ve been such a huge inspiration to me and somebody who is really struggling in this market to find a job, I really resonate with someone else who is going through the same struggles as me in this crappy economy. Wishing you all the best 🎉
It is so HARD to ignore those negative comments. "If you are on the field, don't listen to the people in the stands". Keep rolling 🙌 I still remember when I started freelancing 12 years ago. My in laws told me "thats not real life". Mindset is everything. Thanks for sharing your perspective, these are great, love the style.
It's so cool that you are documenting your life building a startup! I would like to do that too, but I don't know what equipment to start with for vlogging.
Hi Ryan, I hope you don’t mind me leaving a suggestion here. Something that might be able to help students get a head start to the day using your app would be an automated spoken morning summary of the daily itinerary. I often listen to the radio on the way to work to get updates on news/weather etc. But for students, it might be very beneficial for them to have a summary of the day ahead while commuting to college. They could get reminded about assignments due, lectures, break times etc.. and maybe add the ability for students to add their own things into a calendar ? I’m not sure how easy or otherwise this would be to create but I believe that students could use that feature on a daily basis. I’m starting a full stack course next month and I can’t wait to be able to eventually build some of the ideas in my head ! Well done for going out and starting something on your own!
definitely don’t mind, suggestions are more than helpful :) definitely interesting! i’ll look into it a little more for sure. as for the calendar it wasn’t shown in this video but we do have that as well. also good luck with your full stack course, always such an unreal feeling to be able to bring your own ideas to life
Really appreciate your style of content. Just being real and talking to the camera. Alawys kind of cringe to see other day in the life video using tripods, drone shots, and tons of cuts. Just doesn't feel as genuine. Keep it going, bro, lovin' it!
broo i was also think about this kind of saas product then i show one of notion template after that i loose interest on my idea . so i have genuine question for you what is difference between your website or a notion template .
Hello, I love the design of your site... I think it would be nice to add a graphic view and be able to create canvases like on obsidian. Keep up the good work!
thanks enzo 🙌🏻 and yeah I’ll definitely take a look into that for sure. something like a canvas could be helpful even for planning group projects once we get to the groups stage
You were affected unknowingly. You spent time thinking about and replying to the stupid comments, just grind, bro, and ignore these stupid questions. Good luck!
Hey man… I usually don’t comment on videos but as I am also building my own product, I just want to encourage you and yeah, just subscribed. Hope to start creating content on my product later too.
@@ryanburryy Okk great, Did you use any libraries for design, like ShadcnUI? I am asking because the home page was great for my eyes; i just want to know what did you use to design the code for the website.
I know you will have heard the whole Notion criticism before but I think it's for a good reason. I feel like your design language isn't doing you any favours. I totally get how you want to differentiate yourself from Notion but as a user your design just looks waaay too similar to Notion. As soon as I see it, I think "oh, I could just build this in Notion". Which may not be true, but that's just what it seems like to me. Not sure how final the design is but maybe something to keep in mind as you iterate :)
yeah for sure I get that, and its definitely a good point. i think it would even be good to iterate it from a branding perspective too, so when people see notibly, they can immediately associate it with notibly, rather than compare/think its notion. definitely something I should do more thinking on, just a big fan of the minimalism design of apps like notion/linear, but maybe will have to put more thought into how to find my own unique approach to minimalist design. really appreciate the honesty 🙏🏼
It's so cool that you are documenting your life building a startup! I would like to do that too, but I don't know what equipment to start with for vlogging.
Building a startup today is uncharted territory. You're a pioneer, man, thanks for documenting for the rest of us!
you got this brother, there will always be people doubting regardless
thank you bro 🙌🏻
Thanks for this content man. Don't mind negative comments - Just keep pushing!

@@ryanburryy Never. Have to do your own thing.
Keep it up, Ryan! I had a similar trajectory as you when starting out in startups. Wishing you the best!

Great content Ryan. Keep it up! What's tech stack for Notibly?
thanks man. and it’s react/supabase/tailwind/shadcn 🙌🏻
I just built an enrollment saas in 3weeks and debating whether or not to make a few videos detailing the journey. Python, aws, heroku, stripe
may as well bro, there’s nothing to lose

looked up hottest youtubers in 2024 and your video came up. great vid tho!

Have you looked into DDoS protection with something like CloudFlare?
I haven't but I definitely should! will add it to my list for sure
Ignore the negative comments, some people just have crab in a bucket mentality.
Hi Ryan, i just saw your website, may i know which ui framework you used to build it?
the website is built with react!
