- Happy draft day Cowboys Nation! I've got my final prediction for what happens tonight when the Dallas Cowboys get on the clock as well as a conversation about all the different possibilities.
You know what I love the most? The Cowboys don't really leak anymore. In the Jason Garrett days we knew a lot about what they wanted to do. In the McCarthy era your guess is as good as mine. So let's guess!

Yeah the safest move that will surely guarantee a good return is trading back and simply drafting Zach Frazier and getting another 3rd or 4th round pick in return
If they trade back, they should get a third plus a late pick... I say should because they suck at getting trade value in their favor.

I remember the '85 pummeling by the Bears and the subsequent loss to the Rams in the playoffs when Eric Dickerson went off. I remember thinking, "It's over. " The Landry era was finished.
Fast forward nine years. Three Super Bowl championships later, the Cowboys go 6-10. I remember thinking, "It's over."
I had the same feeling after the humiliating loss to the Packers last January. It's over. There's going to be a hard landing in the next three-to-five years. Prepare for impact.
The Cowboys are great at early round offensive line picks, but they often don’t pick the lineman that people think they will. It should be interesting.
Trading back and taking the Center from WV is the smartest thing to do so that they can make up for that 4th rd pick. That's why the Jones family will probably trade up and get fewer picks. Here's to hoping that I'm wrong!!!
I think that Fantanu is the dream pick, but I think I’d prefer to trade back and take JPJ. I would love to end up with 2 linemen, a halfback, and a linebacker in the first 3 rounds. We will see. Gotta be better than last year.
A trade down for Frazier would make me happy.
Honestly though, I hope that the Cowboys can find a way to trade back twice and get a 3 and a 4. They need guys everywhere.

Dallas isn't competing for a Superbowl this year, it would be assinine to trade up and give away future picks when they have a dozen holes on this team
The offensive line is in it's worst shape in years. Two unquestioned starters is not enough and Zack is in last year of his contract. The rebuild must start now!

Well tyler smith could start and left tackle and tj bass could start at left guard which would leave the team only needing a new center so it's not as dire as you think

Really hope they go with Oline. The offense is not good when Dak is afraid. They also didn't run the ball well at all last year.
Guyton would be a stretch for needs pick if they take him; his tape is terrible. He plays tall and, leans too much, plays with very little strength. Regardless, whoever the pick is, I hope that it works out. Jones' screwed us with their FA avoidance. Hope they trade down or make a pure trade to gather more picks... Can we draft a GM????

You say "F-that Offensive Lineman, we'll figure it out later." Right up until Dak is laying on the ground with his leg pointing in the wrong direction.
Make Sure Cpt.Tradedown is saddled and ready!!!! Jordan Morgan played vs the best pass rusher and He needed to be moved...because He only got stymied. That says that He's a viable LT...no matter How long his arms are...
I expect stephen to trade 24 to KC for 32. Nothing else...straight up. 5th year option, lower salary. Killing it.

Dream is they take Estime as the RB (obviously not in tye first. RBs are not worth 1st rounders)
As long as they take a RB in the first 3 rounds, and it isn’t a 25 year old, than ill me happy (three of them are 25 and I have zero interest in that)

So, just a what if scenario... Washington takes the 11th, 23rd, and next year's one from the Vikings, who in turn get their QB. The Skins turn around and offer 11 and 23 to the Boys for Parsons (Quinn loves him). Parsons is a great player, but like Lamb & Dak he wants to break the bank. You can't have a team with a bunch of guys getting market setting contracts. So, with this in mind, what do you do?!
Tempting. I think I would take that with all of the holes we have.
Maybe try to squeeze a mid pick out of them too?

I hope so... watch Pittsburgh take him at 20 and crush our dreams. Same think happened a few years ago when Tyler Lindenbaum was taken by Baltimore right before our pick.

I just dont get the need to take a RB early. We just had a probowl RB that was a fourth round pick. Why cant we go OL, OL, LB, or DT in any order, and take Marshawn Lloyd with our fifth round pick, or trade up in the 4th with a next year pick to make sure we get him?
I would trade up to score J.C Latham if he fell to range where next yrs 2nd and 24 tonight would bring him in, i trust McClay to fill gaps with starting talent.

Turns out filling no holes allows you to draft BPA just as much as filling all holes on the roster with competent NFL players. We're trying something new this year, lol

Throw in Bowers and I agree. I know we gotta TE, and I wouldn’t trade up for Bowers. But id take him and even just use him as a slot TE.
Just not to excited for this year draft that loss in January has been so unforgivable that I have no interest on one of the biggest days of the year really hoping it changes the closer we get

Draft SZN!!!! I think they trade Dak. It could be what they mean by "all in." They get picks, play Lance, and the new coach will get to pick his qb.
If lineman r gone trade back and then Murphy. They will ride with Asim i dont believe they will take a center unless Barton is there. JPJ has to many medical questions to warrent a pick from 24 to 32. I also dont believe Teams value the linebackers this year in the first rd even though i think Cooper is a dam Stud and worth consideration
Trade back, T.J. Tampa is an early two, they find value with three additional picks day two and maybe land one of the tackle prospects later down the board.

It's possible, but that's asking too much of the Jones family. It would require creativity, so it's not going to happen.
Watch them throw us fans a curve ball trade down in the first round...and select Braden Fiske, DT, Florida State. I believe they will nab an o-lineman though.
